Story
Steel is a great dog who loves attention. He loves chew toys and his biggest bad habit would be to eat kids socks LOL. He’s great with kids and I went all the way to California to get him. I just don’t have the time for him anymore as I used to be on the road and brought him with me but I’m not anymore also have a new baby so things have just gotten a bit hectic for me and I have lacked in his attention needs.

Story
Name: Kayko Nickname: Giggles Age: 2 years Weight: 40 lbs Breed: Bully mix Before OMD: Stray who spent a few weeks in the shelter before we scooped her up into rescue. Doppelgänger: A troll under the tiniest bridge you’ve ever seen with a snore that could rival a giants Energy Level: Moderate (but zoomies make her look turbo-charged!) Introvert or Extrovert: Extrovert: She thrives on attention and adores being with people. Best Physical Features: Her short little legs that fuel her zoomies, her happy grin, and her “cuddle pile” naps where she disappears into a mountain of blankets. What we love most: Her dedication to being cozy. Kayko's goal is to gather as many pillows and blankets as she can to build herself the best cuddle pile on earth (or in her house at least) so she can snore the day away. Favorite Personality Trait: Her goofy, happy-go-lucky personality that earns her the nickname Giggles. Dogs: She’s a pro at matching her energy to whatever dog she meets i.e. playful with high-energy pups, calm with mellow ones. She would be best in a home without another dominant dog as she likes to take on that role. She also needs to eat separately from other dogs. Cats: Dog-savvy cats, yes. She is pretty curious of the resident cat. Kiddos: Has been amazing with the kids she’s met. Loves being in the middle of the action. Her favorite game? Running full speed across the room into the kids’ arms for belly rubs and snuggles. Working on: learning not to steal “forbidden” toys (like toddlers’ stuffed animals). Ideal Family: A family who loves to laugh and doesn’t mind some silly antics (or snoring), someone who will enjoy her zoomies, tolerate her obsession with cardboard destruction, and treasure her cuddle-and-snore routine. Housebroken: Still working on it, but getting very close. Crate Trained: A+ student. She’s “best dog ever in a crate” status. Zero accidents, loves her downtime there. Kayko is spayed, vaccinated and heartworm negative. she is available for adoption to residents of CT and surrounding states. If you are interested in adopting, please complete an application from our website.

Story
This unbelievably loving, gorgeous, sweet miracle girl is Snow White! She came into the pound after she was found wandering through traffic outside of a plaza, almost getting hit by several cars. It seems she was severely neglected and used for breeding, and just profoundly sad and defeated. When she came into the pound everyone’s heart was absolutely broken for her. She was so gentle and sweet with everyone, but just so sad and longing for love that she’s clearly never had. We have selected her for our home for the holidays program! She was in a kill shelter where no one could bear to put her down. No dog should ever go through life never having known love. She’s gone into an urgent short term foster care situation so that we can hopefully make her dreams come true! Snow White is 4 years old and a bit over 60 lbs. She’s a beautiful bully girl who came in looking like an entirely different dog. She’s made a radically beautiful transformation! She’s so gorgeous now and had all of her medical work completed! She’s current on all vaccines, deworming, heartworm test, and preventative and she’s also microchipped and spayed! She is an absolutely beautiful big mush with a big heart who is ready to find love! Snow Whites true love is people. Her biggest dream is to find a home where she is an only pet and can be truly loved. She loves to take walks, will go for a hike, will love riding in the passenger seat on car rides anywhere you want to go! She greets everyone with a smile and a tail wag, and is a true lover of all people. She is loving to live a life now where she can snuggle up on the sofa and watch a movie, sleep next to people at night, and feel the magic of a warm, loving, peaceful home. She just wants to be someone’s best friend and devoted companion. She’s ready to be an easy going devoted best friend. She loves to receive love, she is easy going and doesn’t require a crate but if you want her to go in when you’re not home she will kindly accept that. She walks well on leash, loads into the car well, and just has such a good heart. She would love to relax by your side in the summer months while you do outdoor chores, she’s really ready to devote herself to the true love she’s always dreamt of. She will be your absolute best girl if you just give her a chance. If she’s stolen your heart and you’d love to be the angel who gives her a bright future, please visit www.greatdivideanimalrescue.org and submit an application for adoption today!

Story
This unbelievably amazing, gentle, loving boy is Kolby. He belonged to a family with several young children and was always the sweetest bestest boy. After the birth of their most recent child, his owner said she really doesn’t want to give him up, but just isn’t able to keep him anymore, not having the resources to do so. Kolby has been a family dog his whole life, always being tender, sweet and loving. He went to the pound and was just so devastated. You can tell by his soulful eyes that he’s an unbelievably kind and wonderful dog, and it broke everyone’s hearts to see him there. Fortunately this incredibly guy found a wonderful foster home to love and care for him until he finds his dream family! He hadn’t been reliably vetted through his life so he began having all of his medical work completed! He is weighing about 81 lbs now, and is a perfect age of 7 years young. He is champagne coloring, a blend of blue and red, with white. He has now had all of his vaccines completed, heartworm testing, deworming, microchipping, he’s current on flea, tick and heartworm preventative, and he’s neutered and just had a dental completed! This gentleman is ready to find true lifelong love. In foster care he’s been totally dreamy. Since day one he’s been fantastic with cats, humans of all ages, and wonderful with other dogs as well. He has an exceptionally lovely personality and is just the easiest guy to love. He has great manners in the house and has a medium activity level. He rises to any occasion but is not demanding. He loves to go on walks, hikes, car rides, or errands with you. He enjoys playing with other dogs and playing with children. He enjoys toys and is such a happy, loving pup. He’s also super gorgeous! He will be a wonderful companion to men, women and children, other pups and even kitties. He has so much love to give, and all he wants is to be loved in return. He’s such a big mush, and we just know there are super loving parents out there who will cherish and adore him! His primary requests are a home with humans who will snuggle him on the sofa and in bed, and a more rural or suburban home. He’s not a fan of the hustle and bustle of city life. He’s a relax in the yard, peaceful quiet walk, car ride, trip to Home Depot kinda guy. He loves to lay out on the deck and soak up the sun and watch the birds. A super loving home in a rural or suburban area where the pace is slower and the energy is easy going like this guy would be perfect! If this mushy, gorgeous, super sweet boy is your dream come true, please visit www.greatdivideanimalrescue.org and submit an application for adoption today!!
