Story
I found Tony as a stray and tried finding his original owner but nobody came forward. I then took him in and he’s been an AMAZING addition to the family. He’s cuddly and loves spending time with his family and is amazing with kids. My career is changing and I no longer have the time for him that he deserves so I want to gift him and another family.

Story
We are looking to rehome our sweet boy. He’s a Boxer/Pit mix, full of love and personality. He does great with kids and gets along well with dogs that are his size or larger. He’s loyal, affectionate, and loves being around people. He is 5 years old. However, he cannot be around cats or smaller animals. He would thrive in a home with a fenced yard, no small pets, and someone who can give him the attention and love he deserves. This is a tough decision, and we’re only doing it to make sure he goes to the right environment where he can truly be happy and safe.

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. 2nd Chance 4 Life Rescue is primarily a sanctuary for senior and medically needy dogs.  Every once in awhile you will see younger dogs but for the most part our dogs live out their life at the ranch at the request of their previous owners or their owners families.  We have many sponsorship dogs.  Our sponsors love to keep in touch and know how their sponsored fur buddy is doing :) When we have foster families we are thrilled to be able to take adoptable younger dogs :)  So if you have ever thought about becoming fosters please feel free to go to our foster/volunteer page and fill out an application. The Ranch located at 737 Taylor Rd., Windsor, PA is always looking for dedicated volunteers that will commit to at least a 2 hour shift per week at the rescue.  Volunteers work in play yards, help with laundry and feeding.  Some enjoy landscaping or carpentry projects and some like to bake for the healing center visitors :) Thank you for supporting our mission of caring for the elderly and medically needy souls that need us! Fancy is a sweet, social girl who absolutely adores people and thrives on attention. She has a gentle, loving personality and truly enjoys being part of the action — whether that’s soaking up affection from her humans or playing alongside her canine friends. Fancy would do best in a home with a securely fenced yard where she can safely run, explore, and enjoy the outdoors. She also needs another friendly dog in her forever home, as she blossoms with companionship and feels most confident with a furry buddy by her side. If you’re looking for a loving addition who will bring joy, loyalty, and tail wags into your life, Fancy is ready to find her perfect match. :) REQUIREMENTS: Fenced Yard, Another fur friendVisit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet. Please fill out an adoption application: Adoption application (Dog) Adoption Application (Cat)   Please understand we do not adopt out dogs to families with children under the age of 5. We do not adopt dogs to renters. Some dogs will have fence requirements while others may not. A pet is a lifetime commitment. The dogs and cats in our system find themselves there, for the most part, because their humans did not have the same loyalty to them as they did to their owners. We do not take the adoption process lightly, and will do everything in our power to make sure the animal is placed correctly the first time around for your sake and theirs. Thank you for choosing to adopt not shop! Athena is a hippo-shaped bully with the softest soul. She was surrendered at no fault of her own and is still learning that it’s okay to settle in and feel safe again. At first, Athena can be a little reserved, but once she comes out of her shell, her gentle, affectionate side starts to shine. Athena is looking for a calm, quiet home where she can truly relax and enjoy her golden years. Her perfect day includes long naps, cozy spots to lounge, and plenty of love from her people. If you’re searching for a low-key companion who will happily soak up affection and return it tenfold, Athena may be your perfect match. 3159 Susquehanna Trail N York PA 17406 Kennel #:3537

Story
Bubbles is an incredibly people-focused girl who bonds fast and wants to be right by your side—she loves to sleep cuddled up close, potties outside immediately, and eats great. After her initial excitement she settles nicely and truly shines with one-on-one time, forming a deep attachment to her person. She can become overstimulated and get a bit mouthy or hyper-fixated, so she’ll benefit from structure and positive training as she continues to learn. Bubbles would do best as the only pet (no cats or dogs) in a calm home where she can build confidence and routine. With patience and consistency, she has all the makings of an incredibly loyal, devoted companion. 3159 Susquehanna Trail N York PA 17406 Kennel #:3537
