Shelby, a 2-year-old American Bulldog mix. Shelby is a very shy and sensitive girl who needs time, patience, and a calm approach to feel safe. Please go slow with her—once she trusts you, her true personality starts to shine. She knows her basic commands and wants so badly to be a good girl. Shelby would do best as the only dog in the home and prefers older children, as younger kids can make her anxious. The shelter environment is scary for her, and she’s overwhelmed right now—but in a quiet, loving home, she blossoms. Once she’s comfortable, Shelby is incredibly affectionate and will happily cuddle up and become your loyal protector and best friend. I will not be able to take him with me. Wherever Doc winds up needs to have space for him to run. He is a fence hopper and he is quick so anytime he is outside he has to be on a leash and is just not fair to him. He also likes to pee a lot and house training has been a bit of a struggle. >
