Story
BEAN (watch my video!) Male, neutered 11 months old Boxer/Pit bull mix 47 lbs. Microchipped, up-to-date on core vaccines and takes monthly flea/tick/heartworm prevention Meet Bean. This adorable little guy has already stolen our hearts. This sweet boy came to us underweight and sick, but with lots of love and care, he has blossomed into a healthy and happy pup. Bean's favorite pastime is playing with his squeaky rubber duck. You'll often find him running around, squeaking away with joy. He also loves chasing tennis balls and enjoying a Kong filled with spray cheese which is one of his absolute favorite treats. A close second is his newfound obsession with watermelon!  Foster mom even makes watermelon popsicles for cool him down on hot days. He has also recently discovered how much fun it is to play with water squirting out of the hose and tries to catch it in his mouth.  Bean is a playful and energetic pup who would thrive in a home where he can run around and play with his toys. He is friendly and loves to snuggle up to his humans while chewing on a bone. Bean is well-behaved, knowing commands like sit and shake, and he is always eager to learn more. Come meet this sweet boy and see for yourself what a wonderful addition he (and his duck) would be to your family! Interested in adopting? Of course you are! Story
ISABELLA  Female, spayed 1 year old Boxer/Terrier mix 60 lbs. Microchipped, up-to-date on core vaccines and takes monthly flea/tick/heartworm prevention I'm Isabella and despite my young age, I've learned that love is the most important thing. I have so much of it to give and I can't wait to share it with my future family. You see, I was found tied to a pole behind an abandoned building with my canine brother.  I believe hardships make us appreciate the good things in life even more. I'm the kind of girl who can't get enough of your company. I love to be right next to you, or even better, right on your lap (really, I have no sense of personal space)! I'm a loyal companion, always there to offer comfort and a friendly paw. My favorite times are those spent together, whether it's a walk in the park or just a quiet evening at home. I must admit, I'm not a fan of the crate. It's not that I'm a troublemaker, I just prefer to be as close to my people as possible.  I'm slowly learning that my crate is a happy space where I can eat my meals in peace and enjoy yummy chews. Life in my foster home is pretty simple. I wake up, stretch my legs and then it's off to my favorite activity - chasing squirrels! It's a thrilling game, you see. They zig, I zag. They scamper up a tree, I wait patiently below. I can't climb, but it's the chase that excites me. Why should you adopt me? Because I promise to be your loyal companion, your confidante and I'll bring a touch of squirrel-chasing madness into your life.   Interested in adopting? Of course you are! Story
APPLICATION LINK: https://shaynesrescue.com/adoption-application/ We must have an application to move forward. (Shayne's Rescue is an affiliate with PetCentralSATX). If there are problems with the website, please email me for help. SCOOBY is a big boy...at least 66#. His estimated DOB is 1/5/2020...so he is almost 4 yrs old. He is a very FUN dog and loves playing with other dogs but he is exuberant and easily intimidates smaller dogs. He would be a great companion dog for a large breed dog. He loves everyone and just wants to play. He has not had in-house training...in a shelter with lots of dogs, the big ones don't necessarily get the royal treatment. He has been leash-trained and loves to go on walks. After he get rid of the initial excitement about going out, he walks gently on the leash. I do not trust him with a cat. If it runs, he will chase. He sees them as lots of fun. Scooby would be great with a family with older children. Smaller ones would probably get knocked down during playtime. He needs a home with large back yard, I would not recommend him for an apartment. Check out our YouTube Video: https://youtu.be/KD9BUCFmQCs This dog is CURRENTLY IN TEXAS and available for pre-adoption. Adoptions include neuter/spay, vaccinations (DHPP, Bordetella, Rabies), microchip, health certificate, transport with our professional dog transporter, and 6 mos of heart worm prevention. If you have any questions or would like an e-mail from us as to how all of this works, text me (Terry); identify the dog's name and give me your email address... 210-394-6060. You can also go to our Facebook page... https://www.facebook.com/Pet-Central-SATX-866684826744181/ and LIKE us to help us out. After we review your application, we will contact you, and you'll have the opportunity to find out more from the rescue. If you experience any issues filling out the application you can contact us directly at petcentralsatx@gmail.com. This is ONLY if you have problems applying. If you have not applied, you will not receive a response so please only email if you have any issues applying. Adoption Fees The adoption fee includes transportation to the NE. All pups and dogs are fully vetted, spayed/neutered, microchipped, dewormed, have a negative heart worm test for all dogs over 6 months at time of transport, have a health certificate, and have all age-appropriate vaccinations. Some dogs/pups have additional medical, including but not limited to FHO, ACL, hernias, dental, and other vetting. All medical records will be provided to the adopter at the time they pick up their dog. This is a post on behalf of Pet Central SATX Rescue, headquartered in San Antonio, Texas, where there are over 350,000 homeless pets. We have hundreds of puppies/dogs available so there really is no need to apply anywhere else. Also, one application is good even if you are interested in several different dogs...one application no matter which one you choose. Thank you for choosing to adopt a rescue pup/dog. We firmly believe there is NO breed other than "rescue" for all species. Thank you for being part of the village it takes to save these precious lives.

I am a young, playful soul always ready for a game of fetch or a brisk walk. I am also pretty smart, as I am quick to learn new tricks, and eager to please. I am a bit dominant around other dogs but I am working hard on some additional socialization so I understand how to behave around other doggies. By the way, besides people, I am also cat-friendly. My fun-loving spirit is infectious and I'm sure to bring joy to any home. Will you be the lucky one to welcome Lollie into your home?Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training.
