Story
Gus is your 'oh-so-typical' bouncy big puppy with a heart of gold. He's got the softest golden brown coat with four white feet, white tuxedo chest and white tip of his always wagging tail. Shiny white teeth and his teenage aura makes us believe that he is just about a year or so. At approximately 55 lbs, he may fill out more but in his mind he is a lap dog with his main goal to just be a snuggler. Boxer like ears and black tinged muzzle add to his soft expression as he melts under all pats and strokes. Rumor has it that he was found hanging around in a cemetery during that bad weather we all experienced and made no attempt to leave. That makes his love and trust in people even more endearing. Although he tries hard, his skills can use some work, but he is very attentive and wants to learn and will be a great student. He will be a joyful addition to anyone, especially an active home. Although he has been living with cats at his foster home, he would do best in a home that doesn't have cats.

Story
Ace is the sweetest boy. He's about 50 lbs and thinks he's a lap dog. He would love a fenced back yard to run around for a few minutes but mostly wants to come back inside and be a couch potato the rest of the day. He is an excellent car rider and loves riding around observing, but also likes car naps. He needs and wants a lot of attention. I think he would be best suited for a family or retired person that spends a lot of time at home and has time to give him a lot of snuggles. He loves a good sunning on the porch or in the yard. Needs work and patience on a leash. He's always seemed to have some dry itchy skin so we upgraded his food to grain free Jinx brand and that seems to help some but he's still a little itchy. He's 5 years old, we have had him for 4 years. We got him from the Forsyth humane society (first owner went to military) -- but can no longer manage the dander and hair with our child whose allergies aren't backing down.

Kind neighbors took him in when he kept returning to their house to eat and be cared for, when he was no longer wanted after a family's son went to college. He has been mostly an outdoor dog, but will come inside when invited and treats involved...Would make a nice family pet...He needs a forever family to love him. ❤️ Fenced yard required; VET'S REFERENCE REQUIRED.May 17, 2026, 10:52 pm
