Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Toby is still looking for a home.  He was found as a stray in April, the owners (located via his chip), couldn’t take him back.  The vet says he’s a Sharpei mix, and estimated to be between 2-4 yrs old.  I have completely vetted him and he is now fully healed from his neuter. His vet care to this point has exceeded $300-but he is in great health and ready for a forever, loving home.  I am keeping him on flea, tick and hw prevention while in my care. Toby is: house trained, takes treats gently, has leash manners, wants to be with someone, loves lap time, enjoys being outside. Toby would love a home without small children (he gets jumpy excited) and someone able to walk him.  A fenced yard isn’t required, but would be nice.  Not sure about shared walls housing since he has a deep bark. We currently keep him separated from my dogs since they are not always nice to others.  We have taken Toby to a park to see his reaction in public. He ignores adults, nub wags at children, but gets jumpy excited when dogs walked by.  When on walks, he shows interest in squirrels, rabbits but is brought back on track with a stern “No”.  When in the fenced yard, he plays and self entertains, and checks to see you’re still there once in awhile.    Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.August 24, 2026, 4:29 pm

Story
Leo is an affectionate, loyal boy who loves being close to his people—whether he’s out on a walk or curled up on the couch. He enjoys car rides, chasing a ball, and soaking up the sun, but is just as happy relaxing at home. Leo is fully potty trained, knows basic commands, and is very treat motivated, making training both fun and rewarding. He’s currently working on his leash manners and improving every day.Leo would do best in a home that can give him time, patience, and love. A home without smaller animals would be best for him. He has done well with other dogs when introduced slowly and respectfully, and has been around small children, doing well when they respect his boundaries and space. While he would love a fenced yard, he has done well in an apartment and enjoys getting outside for his regular walks. One of Leo’s most unique features is his beautiful blue eye, a result of a past injury that has fully healed and doesn’t affect him—it just adds to his charm. Leo is a special dog ready to find a loving home to call his own.

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Meet Queen, a charming and sassy sidekick who`s equal parts snuggle bug, road trip companion, and toy-loving goofball. She’s all about her people and would happily follow you from room to room, or better yet, hop in the car for your next adventure. Queen is a professional passenger—calm, happy, and convinced that every ride needs her royal presence. She`s also potty trained, crate aware (though she’ll politely bark when she’s ready to come out), and great on leash with just a little pulling when she`s excited. Queen recently took on a 7-mile hike at Eno River State Park and absolutely crushed it. Suspension bridges? No problem. Crowds of school kids? Handled like a pro. She navigated everything with confidence and grace—earning some laughs and a few “Scooby-Doo” comments along the way. At home, Queen is a toy and treat-motivated gal who loves to chew on bones and play with her stash of goodies throughout the day. She gets along well with the calm senior dog in her foster home and minds her business like the classy lady she is. She`s also great with kids, though she prefers to enjoy her meals and bones without interruptionWhile Queen has some minor mobility quirks—likely due to a hip or leg issue—she doesn’t let it slow her down much. She handles steps with care and is happiest on flat ground where she can stay close to you. In the backyard, she’ll stick right by your side and comes when called. Queen is a sweet, spunky, and loyal dog who’s looking for a home where she can be part of the action, soak up affection, and chew to her heart’s content. If you’re searching for a loving, adventurous companion with a big personality and an even bigger heart, Queen just might be your match!

Story
Experienced, Loving Home Needed for Oso Oso is a 5-year-old Dogo Argentino looking for a new home because we are moving and cannot take him with us. He is house trained, well behaved and has never been a problem. Oso is a loyal, loving family member who wants to be included in everything and happiest when he is right in the middle of family life. Because Oso is a large and powerful dog, he needs an experienced owner who understands how to properly handle, care for, and respect dogs of his size and strength. He is trained and affectionate, but he is not suitable for someone unfamiliar with powerful breeds. Our priority is finding Oso a safe, permanent home where he will be treated with patience, love, and care. Serious inquiries only. Please share your experience with large breeds and the type of home you can provide.
