Story
PLEASE NOTE! Unless stated otherwise, our dogs and puppies are located in Arkansas, and transported to the north/northeast once adopted. We do occasionally have dogs/puppies placed in foster homes in the north/northeast. In the cases where the pet is somewhere other than Arkansas, it will be noted beside the name of the pet. 3/31/24 Homer What a gem! Homer was in a municipal shelter here in Arkansas, where he had run out of time and was in danger of being euthanized. Thanks to a wonderful foster opening their home, we are able to save this sweet boy in the nick of time, and we are so glad we did! Homer may not look fancy, but he makes up for that with his winning personality. He LOVES going to Doggy daycare and playing with all the other dogs there. He is an affectionate dog, but is not demanding at all. He is thankful for any little pat on the head or kind word. He is smart and very receptive to training, so he quickly house, crate, and leash manners. He is not a high energy dog with his humans at all, but when other dogs initiate higher energy play, he's game! Homer recently underwent heartworm treatment and came through it with flying colors! He is now recovered and is ready to find his forever home! We would love to see him go to a home with another dog companion, or a family who will enroll him in a daycare one or two times a week to keep him social. He is not anxious when left alone, so he would do fine with a family that has a regular work schedule out of the home. He is nit a l loud dog and would be OK for apartment or condo dwellers, as long as they can give him proper exercise and stimulation. We are unsure of Homer's breed, but he is about 60 lbs and we believe he is 3 or 4 years old. This website makes us pick a breed to list him as, he is probably a mix of several breeds. We put Boxer mix because a breed ID app listed Boxer as a potential breed. Who knows! He does have one wonky ear which is probably due to an old hematoma that was left untreated or an old injury. It does not seem to bother him at all and there is nothing to be done for it. If you are looking for a chill, sweet natured dog who is content to just keep you company, Homer is your guy! Please consider giving him a forever home, and if you can't do that, please share his post to help him find a good home. Located in Arkansas, but transport is available. Story
Buddy is the happiest, friendliest, cuddliest guy you'll find anywhere around. He ended up in a local shelter and was running out of time, but thanks to some tireless networking, Buddy ended up in our care. He's a compact guy, weighing in at 46 pounds, and already knows basic commands like sit and paw. He is crate and house trained. Buddy loves other dogs, cats, and kids. He would be a wonderful companion to someone who enjoys being outside for walks and hikes. Buddy has gotten the all-clear at the vet, is ready to travel, and would love to find his forever family very soon. If you're interested in welcoming me or any of my delightful Funny Farm companions into your home, kindly visit ffpets.org. There, you can find information about our Tennessee-based rescue, and gain insights into the adoption process! Buddy's adoption fee is $325, with an additional $200 required for northern transportation if needed. Local transportation can be provided at no cost within 100 miles of Jackson, TN. Please note that at the moment, this adorable pet is in the care of a foster home in Tennessee but will be lovingly transported to your location once the adoption process is successfully completed. For details on meeting locations and transport arrangements, simply click on the "Transport" tab at ffpets.org. We strongly encourage you to thoroughly review all transport-related information before submitting your adoption application.

Story
This lovely dog had been waiting at the neighborhood animal shelter since June. We couldn't let her stay there any longer, so we pulled her as soon as a foster home became available. She is now enjoying every second of being in foster care! With this girl, you can forget about the puppy stage because she is crate trained and housebroken! She is such a well-rounded young girl who would be a great addition to any home! She is the ideal size and weights about fifty five pounds! We sincerely hope she finds a family of her own soon! She has been fully vetted and is ready to travel! If you're interested in welcoming me or any of my delightful Funny Farm companions into your home, kindly visit ffpets.org. Story
We are calling this adorable trio of pups the "Legally Blonde Crew. Bruiser, Elle and Emmett were being given away in a Walmart parking lot in rural TN. Thankfully a very nice couple who has been involved in rescue since moving here from Chicago got them and brought them home so they could get them into rescue. They were born the first of February and are so very sweet and playful. They are perfect mutts. They are getting lots of love while being fully vetted and they will be ready to go to forever homes April 19th. They are already very smart and prefer to wait until they are out of their play area to go potty. They will make great additions to any home ready for a fun, playful puppy. If you are interested in adopting one of the TN pups please visit funnyfarmpets.org to read all about our rescue and the adoption and transport process and to submit the adoption application. once your application is approved, you will receive an email from us and then we will connect you with the foster parent to ensure a perfect match.
