Story
Our boy Graham has packed his bags! He is headed to our friend Lyndsey of Obedient Blue for board and train! (This is a great example of where your donations go!). We would LOVE for him to have an adopter lined up to work with him as he “graduates” out of training. Graham is only a year old, he is neutered, current on preventatives, microchipped, house and crate trained. Graham is incredibly smart, highly trainable and very eager to please his handler. He seems to bond closely with a male handler. He is a shepherd mix who needs a confident handler with Shepherd experience who will help him grow into the amazing dog we know he can be! If interested in Graham please email rescueblackdogs@yahoo.com for an adoption application. July 25, 2024, 7:14 pm

Story
***Reduced Adoption fee*** Diamond 2-4 year old Pitty/Staffy/Bully mix 50 pounds Diamond is a completely deaf sweetheart that is looking to find an equally loving family. She was once a part of a loving family, then sadly found herself in a shelter where she delivered 12 babies. Diamond spent some time focusing on herself and has now deemed herself ready to move on from them. Let's talk about how amazing Diamond is. She is completely house trained. Although she is not crated in her foster home, she is also crate trained. She walks well on a leash but could use a refresher. Being deaf, she sleeps beautifully. She doesn't need a quiet or calm house, she doesn't startle even when kids wake her up. She is instantly great with other dogs. She loves to settle down in bed with a chew toy and just relax with her family. She even knows the sign for SIT. Diamond has no quirks you need to worry about. She would do best with another friendly dog in the home that she can take cues from due to being deaf, but it's not Mandated. For a large fenced in yard though, she knows to come in when they come in. Diamond was heartworm positive but we already handled that treatment. She is also spayed, microchipped, and has ALL of her vaccines. All that's missing is you. To add her to your forever family, please send us a detailed application from www.puppiesareworthsaving.com then reply to our email. The adoption would be within 2-3 days of applying and the entire family must be present. Foster location: Forest Hill, MD

PLEASE NOTE! Unless stated otherwise, our dogs and puppies are located in Arkansas, and transported to the north/northeast once adopted. We do occasionally have dogs/puppies placed in foster homes in the north/northeast. In the cases where the pet is somewhere other than Arkansas, it will be noted beside the name of the pet.7/9/24 STILL AVAILABLE! 6/3/24 AkiraI'm a little late welcoming Akira to rescue because she's actually been with us for a little while. I finally got to meet her today and what a pleasant surprise! Photos do nothing to show how adorable and tiny she is. She is maybe 20 lbs. See the photo of her with the cat- shes not much bigger than him. Akira was dumped near tractor supply in Benton, AR a while back. She ran around the area, evading people for months. She was just scared to death. But one of our awesome volunteers was able to trap her a few weeks back. After she got past the initial fear of being trapped, she just gave in. And now her personality is really shining! This tiny girl is so friendly and sweet! Good with other dogs, good with kids but gets a little nervous with the toddler who visits, so older kids would probably be best. Great with cats as well! At about 2 years old, she is done growing and is about 20 bs. She is now fully vetted and heartworm negative.Located in Arkansas, but transport is available. Adopter must be able to pick up or arrange for someone to pick up for them at one of the following times/locations. Story
Buddy is the happiest, friendliest, cuddliest guy you'll find anywhere around. He ended up in a local shelter and was running out of time, but thanks to some tireless networking, Buddy ended up in our care. He's a compact guy, weighing in at 46 pounds, and already knows basic commands like sit and paw. He is crate and house trained. Buddy loves other dogs, cats, and kids. He would be a wonderful companion to someone who enjoys being outside for walks and hikes. Buddy has gotten the all-clear at the vet, is ready to travel, and would love to find his forever family very soon. If you're interested in welcoming me or any of my delightful Funny Farm companions into your home, kindly visit ffpets.org. There, you can find information about our Tennessee-based rescue, and gain insights into the adoption process! Buddy's adoption fee is $325, with an additional $200 required for northern transportation if needed. Local transportation can be provided at no cost within 100 miles of Jackson, TN. Please note that at the moment, this adorable pet is in the care of a foster home in Tennessee but will be lovingly transported to your location once the adoption process is successfully completed. For details on meeting locations and transport arrangements, simply click on the "Transport" tab at ffpets.org. We strongly encourage you to thoroughly review all transport-related information before submitting your adoption application.

Story
"Melody is a lovely girl with lots of love to give. She is friendly, affectionate, loyal, playful, smart, curious, funny, athletic and quiet all in one! She is a very dignified dog but can be a bit of a couch potato too, and she definitely loves her doggie kisses. Melody is a lovely, unique girl and I'm sure she will bring lots of joy to her new owners. She came into rescue with her 4 babies and was a wonderful mom. She just completed heartworm treatment and is a happy girl. She gets along with other dogs but would love to be the only dog in the home so that she can receive all the love and attention from her new family. She is a very special girl and all she needs if to find the right home." Melody is two and a half years old, weighs 52#, is spayed, vaccinated, wormed, microchipped and on heartworm and flea prevention. Her adoption fee is 400.00
