Meet Miss K — a stunning calico with a big heart and a little sass.Miss K came to us from a loving home that could no longer care for her due to urinary issues. Since arriving at the shelter, She’s been using her litter box perfectly and keeps her space spotless. As a true calico, Miss K knows she’s beautiful — and she carries herself with that classic calico confidence. When she feels overwhelmed, a bit of sass may slip out, but it’s all part of her charm. Underneath that bold exterior is a cat who genuinely loves attention and wants to feel safe and understood. She’s still learning that the stress she’s experiencing now won’t last forever. With patience, love, and a calm environment, Miss K will blossom into the affectionate companion she’s meant to be.Will you be the one to show her that the stressful days are behind her and that a peaceful, loving home is waiting ahead?Miss K's adoption fee has been paid for. Story
Submit your application here: www.passportanimalrescue.org/app Skippy is back with us after a failed adoption - to a less than patient human. Skippy is a former street cat, who really enjoys her foster's other cats, is neutral about the small dog and is skittish with people. She is a cat's cat. More than anything, Skippy needs an adopter who is patient, lives in a low-key home, and loves to cuddle. All of our adoptable pets have their age appropriate vaccines, dewormer, feline leukemia and fiv test, spay or neuter surgery and a microchip. We have no public facility, but operate with a network of dedicated foster parents and volunteers. To respect the privacy of our foster parents we do require an approved application to visit any of our fostered animals.

Story
Sassy is a beautiful calico cat who is around 1.5-2 years old. This sweet girl hasn’t had the easiest life. Prior to our rescue taking her in, she was with another rescue who adopted out of Petco and Petsmart, where she was sent. Being in a glass box was not for Sassy. Being poked, prodded and stared at every day for hours upon hours turned her from a very loving cat to a very scared and withdrawn one. This is when the rescue decided to surrender her to us where we could safely put her in a foster home. She has been in a foster home for about 3 months and is thriving now. She has come out of her shell and learned she’s safe once again. No more glass boxes for her. The foster says this about her: Friendly Vocal – Loves to talk to you Loves to explore and roam around Loves cat trees Learning to love what toys are again Gets along with other cats, but prefers her own space Would do fine with older children, ideally no young ones for Sassy Dogs would be fine with slow introductions (refer to pictures with dog in the background) Wonderful lap cat Very Entertaining Inside Only Sassy is a calmer cat that loves to lay around and just hang out. Sassy is spayed, FIV/ FLV Tested negative, current on vaccinations, microchipped, will be seen by a vet and given a clean bill of health prior to adoption. To apply to adopt you can go to our website at: www.pawsitive-Impact-animal-rescue.org This animal is currently located in Texas, but we do NOT adopt animals out in Texas due to the hundreds of animals being euthanized here daily. We do adopt in Central US and the East Coast. Transport goes to the following locations: Albany, NY Wells and Brattleboro, VT Willington, CT Port Chester, NY Dayon and Akron, OH Grove City and Bloomsburg, PA Ridgefield and Mt Laurel, NJ White Marsh and Falls Church, MD We have happily adopted hundreds of animals this way (long distance), and we do our best to make sure the animal you are applying for is best fit for your home.

Story
Zelda is a chunky girl who is very sweet and loving once she is warmed up to you. Food is the quickest way to her heart. We have had her for about a year and she loves sleeping with mom at night. Outside of that and wet food time, she spends most of the day hiding under our bed. She is definitely shy around people and would prefer a quiet home. She loves being brushed and pet, including belly rubs! We believe she needs to be an only cat. We have 4 cats and she doesn’t particularly like the other cats. She does not like it when they try to play with her. She does enjoy the laser point however — the fastest you will ever see her move. She does NOT have jumps — no need to worry about her hopping on the counter!

Story
I originally acquired her as a foster placement about two years ago when she was just 8 weeks old. Her previous owner was unable to take her back, so I adopted her myself and it was one of the best decisions I have ever made. She is two years old, but still wants to play all day, every day, like a kitten. I lost my DoD job and now I'm losing the house, none of my potential living situations allows cats, and it breaks my heart. Penny is soft, cuddly, and affectionate. She is a Calico who bonds closely with her person and she often sleeps right on top of my hip. She is comfortable with human interaction and is generally a very gentle companion. She is the best cat in the world, please help her have a great life.

Story
Meet Mrs. Voorhees 💅🐾 — a playful, fun-loving young cat with energy to spare and a personality as bold as her namesake from Friday the 13th! She adores wand toys, dashing around like she’s on a mission, and showing off her silly, fearless side. Once playtime is over, though, this clever girl is ready for her beauty sleep — recharging for her next adventure.Mrs. Voorhees came to us with her four adorable babies, who are still growing and not quite ready for their own homes. But Mom? She’s more than ready for her next chapter — a cozy home, a sunny window perch, and maybe even a little “lake” to call her own.Sweet, spunky, and full of charm, Mrs. Voorhees is ready to steal your heart — no slasher mask required! 🐾💖Mrs.Voorhees's adoption fee is $45, which helps support their medical care and preparation for adoption If you are interested in meeting any of our animals, we encourage you to first visit our website and submit an adoption application: https://www.acskc.org/adopt-1Once your adoption application has been approved, we will call you to set up an appointment to meet with the pet! Story
DipStick is a bright‑eyed, endlessly chatty two‑year‑old cat with a personality big enough to fill any room he strolls into. Having spent most of his young life outdoors, he’s grown into a confident, savvy explorer who’s just as comfortable lounging inside as he is patrolling the yard. That balance makes him the perfect indoor‑outdoor companion. His name comes from the tiny white tip on his tail—a little “dip” of color that stands out like a badge of honor. And trust him, he wears it proudly. Whether he’s telling you all about his day, chirping at birds, or curling up for a well‑earned nap, DipStick brings joy, energy, and a whole lot of conversation wherever he goes.DipStick's adoption fee is $45, which helps support their medical care and preparation for adoption. Story
Etta Mommy came to us from a feral colony, and her gentle, sweet nature made it impossible to send her back. She’s the proud mother of two adorable kittens who arrived just a few days before her, and she’s been showing them all the love and care a mama cat can give.Etta is an older girl, but don’t let her age fool you — she still has plenty of affection, cuddles, and warm companionship to offer. She’s learning what a safe, cozy indoor life can be like, and each day she’s discovering just how wonderful it feels to relax, play, and enjoy life without worry. This sweet mama would thrive in a calm, loving home where she can continue to learn and blossom at her own pace. Etta Mommy is ready to share her heart with someone patient and kind, rewarding them with her soft purrs and gentle affection.Etta Mommy's adoption fee is $25, which helps support their medical care and preparation for adoption If you are interested in meeting any of our animals, we encourage you to first visit our website and submit an adoption application: https://www.acskc.org/adopt-1Once your adoption application has been approved, we will call you to set up an appointment to meet with the pet!
