Story
Submit your application here: www.passportanimalrescue.org/app Skippy is back with us after a failed adoption - to a less than patient human. Skippy is a former street cat, who really enjoys her foster's other cats, is neutral about the small dog and is skittish with people. She is a cat's cat. More than anything, Skippy needs an adopter who is patient, lives in a low-key home, and loves to cuddle. All of our adoptable pets have their age appropriate vaccines, dewormer, feline leukemia and fiv test, spay or neuter surgery and a microchip. We have no public facility, but operate with a network of dedicated foster parents and volunteers. To respect the privacy of our foster parents we do require an approved application to visit any of our fostered animals.

Story
Sassy is a beautiful calico cat who is around 1.5-2 years old. This sweet girl hasn’t had the easiest life. Prior to our rescue taking her in, she was with another rescue who adopted out of Petco and Petsmart, where she was sent. Being in a glass box was not for Sassy. Being poked, prodded and stared at every day for hours upon hours turned her from a very loving cat to a very scared and withdrawn one. This is when the rescue decided to surrender her to us where we could safely put her in a foster home. She has been in a foster home for about 3 months and is thriving now. She has come out of her shell and learned she’s safe once again. No more glass boxes for her. The foster says this about her: Friendly Vocal – Loves to talk to you Loves to explore and roam around Loves cat trees Learning to love what toys are again Gets along with other cats, but prefers her own space Would do fine with older children, ideally no young ones for Sassy Dogs would be fine with slow introductions (refer to pictures with dog in the background) Wonderful lap cat Very Entertaining Inside Only Sassy is a calmer cat that loves to lay around and just hang out. Sassy is spayed, FIV/ FLV Tested negative, current on vaccinations, microchipped, will be seen by a vet and given a clean bill of health prior to adoption. To apply to adopt you can go to our website at: www.pawsitive-Impact-animal-rescue.org This animal is currently located in Texas, but we do NOT adopt animals out in Texas due to the hundreds of animals being euthanized here daily. We do adopt in Central US and the East Coast. Transport goes to the following locations: Albany, NY Wells and Brattleboro, VT Willington, CT Port Chester, NY Dayon and Akron, OH Grove City and Bloomsburg, PA Ridgefield and Mt Laurel, NJ White Marsh and Falls Church, MD We have happily adopted hundreds of animals this way (long distance), and we do our best to make sure the animal you are applying for is best fit for your home.

Story
Zelda is very sweet and loving once she is warmed up to you. We have had her for about a year and she loves sleeping with mom at night. Outside of that and wet food time, she spends most of the day hiding under our bed. She is definitely shy around people and would prefer a quiet home. We believe she needs to be an only cat. She used the litter box with no issues when we first brought her home and kept her in a bedroom for a few of weeks before introducing her to the other cats. After introducing the cats — she started having litter box problems. We tried calming supplements, Prozac, different litters and litter boxes, etc. She consistently goes in the same 2 spots outside the littler boxes. The shelter we adopted her from think she was a barn cat prior to being brought in since she smelled like one. We think it’s a territorial issue and she needs to have her own litter boxes. Which is hard to manage with 4 cats. We can provide 2 litter boxes to adopter.

Story
Archie and Dahlia have been indoors for years; however, they never quite became social with people. They are adorable and funny, hilarious to watch. They love to play and will even take food from people, but they just don't want to be touched. This may change when they get to a home or barn where there aren't so many other cats. They try to stay out of the way of the other cats. Email today if you'd like to meet these gorgeous and gentle cats. Archie and Dahlia have been neutered/spayed, vaccinated, and tested negative for FIV and FeLV.

Story
Meet Tippsie, an 8-year-old dilute tortie with a gentle soul! Tipssie’s world changed when her beloved owner from kittenhood, now facing advanced cancer, could no longer care for her. She is a little timid at first, but once she feels safe, she blossoms into a sweet loving companion. She loves head and chin rubs, brushing, and even gives the cutest little forehead bumps. Since moving to a foster home from our shelter, she is much more comfortable. Tippsie is a laid back girl. She spends her afternoons napping, like most kitties, then joins her foster family when they get home from work for some petting and attention. Though not a lap cat (yet), Tippsie enjoys being close to her fosters and lets them carry her around. Tippsie would do best in a calm, quiet home with understanding adopters who will let her settle in at her pace. In return, Tipssie will reward you with companionship, gentle affection, and a loyal presence by your side! To learn more about this kitty, please email adopt@catsrusrescue.org or submit an adoption application online at https://catsrusrescue.org/adopt/adoption-application All of our cats and kittens are rescues. They are mixed breed unless otherwise noted. If a cat or kitten is designated as a particular breed we do not have papers to verify the breed information. We assign breeds to our cats and kittens based on similar appearance, size, and temperament as described in the breed description of a purebred cat. Our adoption fee is $120.00 for kittens under 1 year (2 for $200), $100 for cats over 1 year (2 for $180), and $150 - $250 for exotic breed cats or kittens. We do not have our own spay/neuter clinic so the adoption fee we charge helps our rescue pay for a portion of vet fees incurred to prepare a cat or kitten for adoption. The adoption fee includes a wellness exam, spay or neuter, age appropriate vaccinations, FeLV and FIV testing (negative/negative unless otherwise noted), treatment for parasites (fleas, ticks, intestinal worms, ear mites), and microchipping.

Story
Sandy came to us with her three siblings, but unfortunately, she had to be kept separate when one of them decided they weren’t her biggest fan. Why? Your guess is as good as ours—because Sandy is nothing but sweet, calm, and gentle. She’s the type of cat who won’t push herself on you but instead waits patiently for you to come to her. Once you do, you’ll find a loving and steady companion who is simply ready to be loved whenever you are. Sandy’s quiet, easygoing nature makes her a wonderful match for someone looking for a calm, affectionate friend. And even though she’s a senior, don’t let that fool you—Sandy still has a spark of playful energy in her. She absolutely loves a good cat wand session and will happily show off her gentle pouncing skills when the mood strikes. All this little lady needs is a safe, cozy home and someone who will appreciate her patient heart. If you’re looking for a cat who will love you deeply and quietly, Sandy may just be your perfect match.Sandy's adoption fee is $25, which helps support their medical care and preparation for adoption If you are interested in meeting any of our animals, we encourage you to first visit our website and submit an adoption application: https://www.acskc.org/adopt-1Once your adoption application has been approved, we will call you to set up an appointment to meet with the pet!
