Zelda is a chunky girl who is very sweet and loving once she is warmed up to you. Food is the quickest way to her heart. We have had her for about a year and she loves sleeping with mom at night. Outside of that and wet food time, she spends most of the day hiding under our bed. She is definitely shy around people and would prefer a quiet home. She loves being brushed and pet, including belly rubs! We believe she needs to be an only cat. We have 4 cats and she doesn’t particularly like the other cats. She does not like it when they try to play with her. She does enjoy the laser point however — the fastest you will ever see her move. She does NOT have jumps — no need to worry about her hopping on the counter!

She’s full of energy and loves to explore and cuddle. Sunny (Orange Tabby): A sweet boy who was diagnosed with Feline Infectious Peritonitis (FIP). Sunny has been on an 84-day treatment plan since August 7th, and he’s responding well. He will need his second bottle of pills soon, and while the treatment is expensive, we’re happy to help cover the cost to ensure Sunny continues to get the care he needs. Why They’re Special: Bonded Pair: Cali and Sunny are incredibly close, always playing and snuggling together. We’re looking for a home where they can stay together and continue their special bond. Friendly and Social: Both kittens are loving, affectionate, and will bring joy to any home. Healthy & Happy: While Sunny is in treatment, we’ve been closely monitoring his progress and will support his ongoing care as he completes the program. Skippy is a former street cat, who really enjoys her foster's other cats, is neutral about the small dog and is skittish with people. She is a cat's cat. More than anything, Skippy needs an adopter who is patient, lives in a low-key home, and loves to cuddle. All of our adoptable pets have their age appropriate vaccines, dewormer, feline leukemia and fiv test, spay or neuter surgery and a microchip. We have no public facility, but operate with a network of dedicated foster parents and volunteers. To respect the privacy of our foster parents we do require an approved application to visit any of our fostered animals.

A CAT THAT LIKES BELLY RUBS?Yes!! Lizzy loves belly rubs and she cannot think of anything better than spending time with her humans getting plenty of pets. Lizzy is a bit cautious to begin with, but don’t let that fool you. Once she gets to know you, she is an affectionate people pleaser. In Lizzy’s mind there is no such thing as too much peopling, she wants all pets and snuggles she can get and sleeps on your bed at night, so you can drift to sleep listening to her gentle purrs. Playtime is catnip time! Give Miss Lizzy a catnip toy and she’s a happy camper.Lizzy does have diabetes and is on a special diet for food allergies, but both are easily managed. She gets a tablet daily for her diabetes and is fed a prescription diet for her sensitive tummy.She gets along well with kids and laid-back cats and dogs. She looked out for her blind sister during her first two years of life so when it comes to other animals, she is more of a leader than a follower. FANCY A CAT WITH A FANCY BUTT?Simone Biles the cat has a lot in common with Simone Biles the star athlete. Both have overcome adversity to rise high, and are an inspiration in their ability to bounce back.Simone was left to fend for herself on the streets while suffering from a prolapsed anus. Poor Simone went from one house to the next meowing for help until a Good Samaritan took her in and contacted AARF. Show Your Soft Side’s Street Kitty Medical Fund helped Simone get her needed surgery and now she is one happy girl who can give all the shiny butt greetings you could wish for.Simone is a healthy, playful cat who has long forgotten her sad past. She loves to play and snuggle, and her favorite robot laser toy will come with her to her new home. She has a great appetite and is not picky and her new improved backside does its job admirably. She does get constipated on occasion, but a little bit of Miralax in her food fixes that.Not only does Simone have the gold standard of all rear ends, her front end is pretty awesome too! She is one smart kitty cat who knows high-five and loves to be sung to. Sweet, cuddly Betty would be perfect ... if her poop chute wasn`t a bit slow.Betty’s bowels have been x-rayed and she spent a night at the vet for observation. The diagnosis: there is nothing visibly wrong, her intestines just need to develop some more. She strains in the pan and leaves little poops on her travels through the house, think Hansel and Gretel, only browner. She leaves 2-3 peanut M&M sized poops here and there and an occasional poop in the pan. The trail is easy to clean up as the morsels are pretty firm. She gets meds three times daily to help the brown stuff move and she takes her meds like a trooper. Betty is on high-fiber prescription food. She may be able to stop taking her meds entirely when she (and her poop chute) have finished growing; her foster parents are happy to say that in the months they have had her, Betty has gotten better at leaving the poops in the pan.Now for the good stuff! Betty is gentle, playful and cuddly. She loves wand toys, chases balls all over the house and when she`s all tuckered out, she will bake biscuits next to her foster mom or snuggle on her chest while purring up a storm. If you sit down, Betty will come running and jump on your lap. Prepare for this cuddly girl to jump on top of you for some lovins even when you`re lying down! Betty has good manners and does not practice acrobatics on top of sleeping humans. She is friendly with people and cats, and would love to share her home with another cat.
