Story
We adopted Rita in December of 2021. She is an extremely loyal and loving cat, but she is also very shy and anxious, so over the past 2.5 years she has only been comfortable coming out when I am alone. Unfortunately, this means she is hiding the majority of the time since I also live with my husband, 2 dogs and infant daughter. We would like to find her a home where she can feel free to roam and have access to her person all of the time. Rita will cuddle up with you on the couch for all the pets and rubs. She is also quite entertaining in the evening when she is in play mood because she isn't the most coordinated and gets the zoomies when excited. If you are a one person household, looking for a loving companion, Rita is the cat for you. She is currently taking 2.5mg of prozac to help with her anxiety, but we are hopeful that in the right household where she is comfortable you would be able to ween her off.

Story
Rosemary is a 4 year old former barn cat who has been living indoors the last 3.5 years. She has lots of energy and loves to play, but she's also a master cuddler and enjoys all forms of affection and attention. Rosemary will gladly lay with you and she wants you all to herself! She loves people but is not good with other cats or dogs. She would do best as a single cat, so new owner should not have any other resident pets, including small animals (rodents) and birds, as her prey drive is VERY high. She is incredibly food motivated and should not free feed. If you're looking for a companion who will love to be around you, this is the little girl for you! She will come with a littler box, carrier, her favorite toys, and any unopened food on hand.

Story
Bessie is a very pretty calico cat that is approximately 1.5 years old. She has gone from a skinny mama cat to a well filled out cat. After a rough start to her life and raising kittens, she is now looking for her forever home where she can be pampered. She gets along well with most of the other cats and kittens at her foster home. She likes cat trees, looking out windows, a variety of toys, and of course the laser light. She is a low maintenance cat who likes attention but is not pushy about it. She should fit in to just about any household.

Story
I attempted to take in Baby from my daughter, who is moving, but she hasn't adjusted well to our current cats. She lived peacefully with a dog at my daughter's place. At the vet, Baby needed to be sedated for her examination, but she doesn't attack unprovoked. A few years ago, she had a recurring bleed in her ear, which left her with a cute "cauliflower ear." Baby is 14 years old and takes some time to warm up to new people, but once she does, she'll love you forever. She enjoys knowing someone is around, even if she isn't interacting with you constantly. Given her age, I don't think she would be comfortable around children, so she would be best suited for an older owner who is home during the day. Baby has lost a lot of weight over the past year, and I'm not sure how much time she has left. We really hope to find someone who can give Baby the love and care she needs in her remaining years.

Story
??Everyone poops??Dogs. Cats. Heck, we bet that even *YOU* poop (gasp!!!). So really, you won't be surprised when we tell you that Freedom here - he poops. At four years old, tiny Free Free has gone through a lot of shi...stuff. Found as a kitten with burrs covering his whole behind, he had difficulty using the litterbox before he was diagnosed with a rectal stricture (in scientific terms, his poop chute didn't operate properly). After months of surgical procedures, the stricture was resolved successfully! But Freedom isn't exactly "regular": he uses the litterbox, but inevitably he leaks a little. From the butt. ***Before we share more about this Lil' Turd's little turds, let's tell you a little bit about **him**, and why he's a delight and purrfect companion. No bull??.??Freedom is an affectionate, petite cat at only 5lb (fully grown!). ??He loves kissing people and snuggling with dogs (his purrrrfect home will have a dog to play with!). ??Fun with feather toys and other games, food, and chin scratches are all on the menu when you hang out with Free Free. ***So what kind of care does Freedom need? ??Despite his poopy problem, Freedom is well litterbox trained (he's never urinated outside the litterbox, and his major stools all go there without problem). ??From a care perspective, his Foster mom uses a quick wet wipe on him twice daily (along with a weekly bath which he takes like a champ!) to keep him cleaner than a Charmin Bear's bum. ??Freedom wears a diaper when he's wandering outside of his room - and let's be real, that's ADORABLE. ??He takes probiotics and special food to help manage his stool. Freedom also has asymptomatic Feline Coronavirus, which means he will need to be the only cat in the household, but does not currently require any care or treatment for the condition. ***We know it will take a special someone to adopt a cat with an anal anomaly. But Freedom is, ultimately, a perfect cat. He's playful, cuddly, and loves everyone - he's special in the truest sense of the word. As his Foster said, she'd be happy to have him live in her office with her forever, but he deserves a chance at a real home. And it's our job to help him find one.??Everyone poops?? BUTT... only one very special someone will get to take Freedom home. If you'd like to take me home, please fill out an adoption application at this website - http://www.animalalliesrescue.org/adoption-application - and choose me, Freedom! My adoption fee is $100 and AARF wants me to tell you that their adoption package covers all expenses needed to prepare kitties like me for our forever homes. By the time you meet us, we've already been spayed/neutered (if age appropriate) and microchipped. We've been checked by a veterinarian, and we're up to date on age appropriate immunizations against rabies and FVRCP (feline viral rhinotracheitis, calicivirus & panleukopenia). Some of us have had extensive surgeries, dental work, or other necessary procedures. AARF is committed to getting all of us entirely ready for a happy, healthy, love-filled life!

Story
Hello. My name is Bia. You don't mind if I lie down on this soft cat bed while we're chatting, do you? I love combining my favorite things: in this case, a soft bed and a person who is paying attention to me. If I weren't a cat, I'd ask you to peel me a grape.Yes, I like luxury. Give me a water fountain to drink from and a licky mat to help me savor and not gulp my wet food and I'm happy. And a cat tree with a cubby for naps. But, don't worry about remembering all this. If people need prodding, I let them know. A "meow" or two always gets them back on track.I would prefer a forever home where I can be the only non-human animal, but I can tolerate a calm kitty or pup. My foster mom says I'm "mellow." Is a mellow cat who loves the love you have to give the cat you have been looking for? If so, please fill out an adoption application at this website-www.animalalliesrescue.org/adoption-application-and choose me, Bia! My adoption fee is $150 and AARF wants me to tell you that their adoption package covers all expenses needed to prepare kitties like me for our forever homes. Story
My name is Biscuit. Yes, I'm adorable, I know. I've been with AARF for most of my life. I love my foster family, but I know my forever family is out there somewhere.I do like attention from people. I'm slow to warm up and I won't come to you, but I can be held and I enjoy scratchies. What I really love is cats! Lots of cats. I don't like to be alone. I want a few kitty siblings to hang out with. I'm pretty mellow so no crazy kittens for me. I like to bat around toys and I only eat wet food. I'm really sweet. I promise. Someone just needs to give me a chance. If you'd like to take me home, please fill out an adoption application at this website - http://www.animalalliesrescue.org/adoption-application - and choose me, Biscuit!
