Story: Annie is a beautiful, sweet senior Calico who was adopted in September 2025 from the Clarke County Animal Shelter. Unfortunately, our resident cat wasn't happy with the addition to our family, and we are reluctantly looking for a new home where she can be happiest. Annie has stage 2 chronic kidney disease which is being managed with a prescription diet and plenty of hydration (she loves her water fountain!). Chronic kidney disease will inevitably progress, but for now she is otherwise healthy, happy, and very active! Annie supposedly came from a house with other cats but they didn't get along (that's the extent of info the shelter could provide).  Because our resident cat was the dominant cat and aggressor with Annie, it's hard to guess how she would do with another cat. The safest placement would see her in a single-pet home. Born May 9th 2022 I acquired the my sweet baby girl at only about four weeks old because the owner of the mother needed to move out of state the following week. Mochi is a very playful and smart girl as a kitten. She figured out how to get out of her playpen she had no fear or worried about my older boy cat at that age she quickly made him love her, but it did take her a while to love me as deeply as she showed a fellow cat. I truly do love her, and it breaks my heart to know I have to rehome her so I am truly hoping someone that shows her as much love as I gave her allows her to live her rest of her years with them

Sassy is a beautiful calico cat who is around 1.5-2 years old. This sweet girl hasn’t had the easiest life. Prior to our rescue taking her in, she was with another rescue who adopted out of Petco and Petsmart, where she was sent. Being in a glass box was not for Sassy. Being poked, prodded and stared at every day for hours upon hours turned her from a very loving cat to a very scared and withdrawn one. This is when the rescue decided to surrender her to us where we could safely put her in a foster home. She has been in a foster home for about 3 months and is thriving now. She has come out of her shell and learned she’s safe once again. No more glass boxes for her. One of 5 kittens, they were found outside in the rain. Their mom never came back and so they became ours. We tried taking care of them for as long as we could but the expenses became too much. Chica is 9 months old, having been born in March. We are looking for a home with a lot of love and care for her. She’s a bit skittish and is definitely the most suspicious out of the 5. She may seem shy at first but once she becomes comfortable, she can be the most loving and affectionate little guy with an adventurous spirit.
