Story
Dixie is a gentle & affectionate cat - when she feels safe. Once she feels safe, she’s incredibly affectionate, loyal, and eager to bond. When it’s just you and her, she absolutely blossoms: curling up on your chest, snuggling in your lap, and chirping in conversation. She adores catnip, watching birds, has a few favorite soft toys, and will roll around contentedly when she’s happy. Dixie is healthy and recently had a full checkup—she's up to date on all vaccinations and has no known medical concerns. She does wonderfully at the vet—no biting or scratching. She’s never shown aggression toward people. Her only challenge is coexisting with other female animals, which has caused some stress-related litter box issues. Due to issues with our other female, and our family growing, we have made the very difficult decision that she would thrive in a home where she can be the center of attention—no other pets, a calm environment, and someone patient who will give her time to settle in.

Story
Born on May 7, 2023. Has 5 other siblings.* All are ready for adoption. Never been outside - flea free. Eating hard cat food. Weaned. Litterbox trained. I am NOT 100% certain of the sex of the kittens so make sure to double check before finalizing the adoption. "Are dilute calico cats rare? Yes, even female dilute calico cats are rare. As we saw above, only one in every 1,000 cats is born a standard calico and dilute calico cats are that much harder to come by. One of the reasons for this is that the dilution gene is what’s known as a recessive gene. That means that a more dominant gene can mask it and a kitten would need to inherit the dilution gene from both parents in order to be born a dilute calico. "...- so, consider yourself very lucky indeed if you become the pet parent to one of these beauties." https://www.petsradar.com/advice/dilute-calico-cat

Story
Say hello to Miss Mattie! Mattie is a young adult estimated to be around 3 years old. She once had a home, but was one day suddenly left to fend for herself which made her very sad and lonely. Sweet, spice and everything nice - Mattie loves pets and making biscuits on your shoulder, and also enjoys just hanging out nearby as a perfect little loaf. She would love a "forever, FOR REAL this time" home, but there is one catch: Mattie is a proper princess, demanding alllll of the attention goes to her - she cannot be housed with dogs or other cats. So if you're a one pet kind of person, can Mattie come cuddle with you? Included with the adoption is the kitty's spay, all current-due FVRCP, FeLeuk, and rabies vaccinations for kitties over 1-year, deworming, flea treatment, a wellness check, FIV/FeLV combo testing, and microchipping. In addition to being fully vetted, our cats and kittens are highly socialized. We offer a 2-week getting acquainted period and a 2-week wellness guarantee, so you can comfortably settle in with your new kitty! To apply to adopt, please complete an adoption inquiry at www.bluesmews.org so our adoption specialist volunteer can review it and contact you!

Story
Friendly, playful Odell loves watching the birds outside while sitting on the highest part of the cat tree. Odell loves lounging in sunny spots, watching the world around her. She was around dogs as a young kitten, but is not at her current foster home. She does well with other cats if they are not too timid. She's an absolute doll! Included with the adoption is the kitty's spay, all applicable birth-to-one-year FVRCP, FeLeuk and first round of rabies vaccinations, deworming, flea treatment, a wellness check, FIV/FeLV combo testing, and microchipping. In addition to being fully vetted, our cats and kittens are highly socialized. We offer a 2-week getting acquainted period and a 2-week wellness guarantee, so you can comfortably settle in with your new kitty! Please note, young kitties do best with another kitty in the household. To apply to adopt, please complete an adoption inquiry at www.bluesmews.org so our adoption specialist volunteer can review it and contact you!

Story
Urabella is straight up royalty! She carries herself and walks like she should be on the red carpet. She's so vocal and regal, and her foster says she will definitely be the boss in any home. She loves being petted and laying beside her people. Please note, she's had negative experience with dogs in the past, and won't tolerate them now; she will attack if they get in striking distance, so she'll need a calm, kitty-only home. She does get along with cats as long as they respect her space. She will likely do best in a home with adults and older children. Our vet estimates miss Urabella at 2 years old. Included with the adoption is the kitty's spay all current-due FVRCP, FeLeuk, and rabies vaccinations for kitties over 1-year, deworming, flea treatment, a wellness check, FIV/FeLV combo testing, and microchipping. In addition to being fully vetted, our cats and kittens are highly socialized.
