Literally. Fostering Mattie brings irony to the concept of foster home based rescue, considering the whole point is so that cats don't have to remain isolated, but solitude is truly Mattie's safe space: she has a single spare room all to herself, and will not come out of it. She’ll need a very special adopter; someone with a bounty of both time and patience to help unravel this fuzzy little ball of neuroticism. (And handling skills, as we would not consider her the easiest kitty to medicate, and the sensitive tummy makes for secretly medicated treats a challenge). Mattie lives with SIGNIFICANT anxiety that makes new environments and people overwhelming for her. She is very easily stressed and now that she is finally starting to become a bit more “cat-like” in her foster environment, we are eager to send her off to blossom in her forever environment. Despite her persistent state of “I Am Afraid,” she is truly soft at heart. She greets her food with enthusiasm, is passionate about fuzzy blankies, enjoys birdwatching from her cat tree, and is also a fan of chin scritchies and brushies. She has a proud purr and quite impressively (and perhaps slightly unsettingly) large eyeballs. Mattie’s anxiety does not actually present itself in a fractious nature; she doesn’t bite, she just hides when overwhelmed. Mattie wouldn’t hurt a fly. In fact, she is probably afraid of them. She does get along with cats as long as they respect her space. She will likely do best in a home with adults and older children. Our vet estimates miss Urabella at 2 years old. I've had Tugger for about 4 years and I adopted him when he was only a couple of months old. I got him from a client of mine who's kitchen I remodeled. He has the sweetest little soul. Loves to cuddle and get head rubs and scratches. He's an indoor / outdoor cat. I've seen him interact with other cats that come around my house, and he seems indifferent toward them. I really want him to go to a good home where he can live out the rest of his golden years. He's a good boy, and if it wasn't for my new born, I would be keeping him.

Pawzy is a gentle little survivor who’s ready to trade the chaos of the streets for the comfort of a loving, calm home. Lyra, is the loving mama to our solar system kitties, though she's just a kitten herself at only a year old! Lyra seems to have spent a lot of time as an outdoor cat and has top notch hunter skills. However, now Lyra is ready to settle down from the exciting life of the outdoors and adventures in motherhood to a new, calm, loving home. Lyra loves pets and attention, but isn’t quite a lap cat yet. Lyra has been a wonderful mother to her own kittens as well as her six year old human foster sibling. She has been patient and loving with all. Lyra has responded well in all situations with her foster family and has been loving learning to be on a harness for outside adventures. She still loves the sun and outside from her glory days, but Lyra has also shown so much growth in her in home skills. She is litter trained as well.
