Haley is a sweet senior who found her way back  to colony cats after she was dumped by her previous adopter.  When she came to us she was scared and not eating well but she has slowly become more comfortable. I was living on my own in a parking lot until I was rescued so I can be shy with new people.  Just pick me up and put me on your lap, though, and I'll purr for hours.    I'm not a fan of other cats but that may be from scavenging for dumpster scraps or I might have a touch of diva in me.  I'd do best in a quiet home with no small children.  DOB: 11/10/2023 Come meet me at the cage-free Adoption Center! Crocus is very sweet but was fending for herself outside after being an inside girl. She is cautious of new people and commotion. Once she trusts you she is a playful sweet kitten. Gazpacho is a 14 year old Senior diabetic boy. He's currently doing very well off-site in his foster home. Special notes from his foster: Gazpacho is super friendly and kind of quirky, starting with his crooked mustache markings. He loves and anticipates his routine, which is pretty laid back. He resides in his bed in the sunny window, generally just waiting for an opportunity to eat or to get brushed and petted. He's always polite while introducing himself to the various cats and dogs that pass by, whether or not they reciprocate. Gazpacho loves to chit chat and makes a number of adorable noises to express himself. Being elderly and diabetic, there are some challenges. His litterbox needs to be cleaned frequently, as he urinates A LOT. Upside is that he's very neat; always uses the box, but tracks litter everywhere if I'm not keeping up. Gazpacho still gets around well for his age; he doesn't jump, but uses steps and ledges to get up to his perches. Gazpacho needs to be maintained on a prescription diet. He is currently on insulin and may need more veterinary management for his chronic diabetes at any time. Gazpacho has lost most/all of his teeth and needs help maintaining his beautiful, silky coat. He loves being held, brushed and cuddled though, so grooming is just more awesome bonding time. Mittens is sure to keep your hands warm this winter as you pet through her soft black and white fur. She'll provide snuggles to help warm both her and you up on any particularly cold winter days. Mittens may be a little shy at first, but once she's comfortable, she makes a great furry friend! She's a friendly lady who likes to approach people and greet them with a cute meow. She searches for people to pet her and will rub against their legs, so they know she's there and ready to be pet. She enjoys playtime too! She'll get a certain look in her eyes as they grow big and scan the room for a fun toy for her to play with. Then off to the races she goes! She'll scurry around the room and chase a ball or mouse toy. It's fun to watch! Mittens prefers her own space away from other cats. In her previous home, her owners had at least one dog that Mittens didn't mind the presence of. Perhaps being in a home with a calm dog would be better for her, though. Dahlia is a "hidden gem" type of cat. She's a beautiful jewel who just needs some gentle polishing to truly sparkle. She's a pretty brown and white tabby with dazzling golden eyes. She is timid, but with a lot of TLC and patience, she has the potential to blossom into a very friendly and loving cat! Being adopted into a quiet and not very crowded home would be the best environment for Dahlia. A patient and gentle family who understands cats well would be a good fit for her. Once she gets to know her new family and becomes more comfortable, she would be just fine! Dahlia doesn't mind other feline friends at all. She enjoys spending time with the other cats in the room and snuggling with them. She really enjoys being pet! She'll purr loud and roll onto her side and show her cute little belly. It seems like she's already starting to overcome her shyness, slowly and steadily.
