DOB: 3/1/2017  Haley is a 7 year old calico with a sweet and calm personality. She loves being around people, lounging where she can see you, and gentle pets. Her soft, beautiful coat and polite requests for attention (like head rubs or leg brushes) makes her even more endearing. Though laid-back, she has a playful side and loves showing off her white tummy for pets. Haley gets along with independent cats and prefers a quiet home. After being left behind by her previous adopters, she's hoping for a second chance at a forever home with someone who will cherish her gentle, easy-going nature. FIV+Meet Blanche, a stunning calico beauty with a striking mix of black, orange, and white fur. Born around March 8, 2021, Blanche joined our adoption center on March 16, 2024, after being caught as a stray in Blacklick by our dedicated TNR (Trap, Neuter, Release) volunteers. Despite her life on the streets, Blanche is not feral. She has an independent spirit that makes her an intriguing and charming companion. Blanche is spayed, vaccinated, and has tested negative for FeLV. Additionally, she is FIV+ (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus positive), which means she has a weakened immune system compared to FIV-negative cats. While this requires some extra care to keep her healthy, it doesn't stop her from living a fulfilling life. Blanche is extremely shy and tends to be reserved around new people. However, if you approach her slowly, she enjoys a good head scratch and will purr contentedly. She may not be the most attention-seeking kitty, but she still appreciates love and care. Her friendship is won through gentle pets and tasty snacks, making the bond you form with her all the more special. Blanche got her name because of her beautiful white patches of fur that reminded our volunteers of fresh snow. Her name, meaning "white" in French, seemed like a perfect fit for her unique and elegant appearance. Blanche is slow to trust and doesn't like new people, but once she warms up to you (which takes a while), she is incredibly sweet and loyal. Maple is a stunning 2-year-old calico (born around 9/17/2022) with beautiful green eyes that reflect her gentle soul. Weighing in at around 9 lbs, Maple came to us after being found as a devoted mom, caring for her four kittens. Now it’s her turn to find a loving home where she can be the center of attention. This sweet girl is a perfect balance of calm and curiosity. She loves lounging by a sunny window, watching the world outside, or curling up for a cozy nap. Though she’s a bit shy at first, once Maple gets to know you, she blossoms into an affectionate, purring companion. Headbutts, chin scratches, and snuggles will quickly become part of your daily routine with her. Maple has a playful side too! She enjoys interactive toys, especially ones with strings, and will happily come running for her favorite wet food treats. While she’s still a little cautious around other cats, she’s open to making new friends once she feels secure. Arnold is a sweet cat that needs a new home as his owner's health is declining and can no longer take care of him. He is active, affectionate, likes to play, and loves to follow people around. This is the only home he has known since he was almost a newborn (he's almost 4) so it might take him a minute to warm up to you/get comfortable but you'll fall in love once he does. We hope to find him a home where he is loved just as much as he is loved with his current owner and to find someone who will be mindful of his integration into a new home, especially if other pets are present. We lean towards a dog free and baby free home because Arnold has never been around dogs or babies in his life. He has been fed a mix of wet and dry food his entire life and we hope to find him a home that has the financial capacity to continue to do this.

Truffles is a big bombshell beauty who is looking for her new loving home. Truffles likes to spend most of the day napping with the occasional fun playtime in between. She likes having her space, but that doesn't make her any less affectionate. She is a couch potato who is happy to share the space with a human friend. Truffles is likely to get on the couch with you and either lay right against you, or right in your lap. You'll just have to make sure to leave plenty of lap space for this chunky kitty. Truffles is somewhat of a diva (we mean that in the most loving way possible), as in she would prefer to have her new family all to herself. Being adopted into a home without other cats and without dogs would be ideal for her. She prefers being pet over being picked up and held. Come by the Humane Society to meet Truffles!

Meet the big and beautiful Holt! She was adopted from us in 2020. Her previous owner unfortunately passed away, so that's how Holt ended up at the shelter again. Holt was saddened by her owner's passing, but we are sure that she'll be accepting to open up her heart to another family once again so she can like out the rest of her golden years. She deserves it! Holt is a couch potato. She spends most of her days sleeping, curled up in a nice and cushiony cat bed. She would enjoy having one or two to sleep on in her new home...But we think that YOUR bed would soon become her favorite! Her previous owner's family expressed that all she loved to do everyday was lay next to and sleep with her favorite person. She prefers head and ear scratches rather than back scratches. Even though Holt is a bit lazy... We have seen her playing with a ball track toy that spins, as well as a fun dangling wand toy. She still has some youthful energy left in her yet! Another thing that Holt loves: FOOD! She gets excited and starts meowing for her tasty food and lickable treat snacks. Holt likes her solidarity away from other cats as well as dogs. We think the best type of home for her would be one where she is the only pet. Come by the Humane Society to meet sweet old lady Holt!
