Story
Spiff, a tabico with striking facial markings, was one of a trio of tabicos rescued scared and hungry from an Arlington school parking lot during the times of the 2024 Paris Olympics. She is named after American Olympic Women’s Rugby Sevens player, Alex “Spiff’ Sedrick who made the stunning, last-seconds try to help secure the Americans first ever Olympic medal. Spiff exemplifies the pluck and prowess of her Olympian namesake. She is smart and inquisitive and really wants to be a part of the action. Spiff’s girth is almost twice that of her extremely streamlined, skinny bonded sister, Sydney Olympian. They are quite the pair. She is light on her feet and loves to leap after fishing pole toys with stunning Cirque du Soleil-like lithe and limber acrobatics. Spiff has always been a chunky, food motivated feline and likely could be clicker trained well. She is a happy lap kitty that as soon as you sit, she’s leaping up for a kiss. Good with dogs and children. Born 6/2/2024 If you are interested in meeting me, please contact my rescue family at MeowtownAR@gmail.com to arrange a visit with my foster home!

Story
Sydney Olympian, a dilute tortie with a coat most elegant in its minimalism, was one of a trio of torties rescued, scared and hungry, from an Arlington school parking lot during the 2024 Paris Olympics. She is named after American Olympic hurdler, Sydney McLaughlin Levrone and she is as quick and athletic as her namesake. When she gets the zoomies, she runs and leaps like a lovely leaf whipped in the wind. She is bonded to her sister Spiff (she really doesn’t like any other kitties). Born 6/2/2024 Sydney loves her down time and lolls on her back to entice you to stroke her lovely coat. You will find her curled in soft chair or languidly lounging in the kitchen on the linoleum and tile, as she is a cool customer but also an intense and intrepid hunter. Pity the fly the finds its way on to her savannah. If you are interested in meeting me, please contact my rescue family at MeowtownAR@gmail.com to arrange a visit with my foster home!

Story
Nova came into my life through my best friend, which makes her incredibly special to me. She is now 4 years old and has grown into the most loving, expressive companion. Nova has such a big personality, sassy, vocal, and never afraid to share her opinions but she is also incredibly cuddly and sweet. She loves being close to her person and will happily curl up with you, always ready to give affection. This has been one of the hardest decisions we ever had to make. We are moving into a home where we unfortunately cannot have pets, and it makes us so sad knowing we can’t bring her with us. She deserves a loving home with someone who will welcome her cuddles and cherish her every day. Nova is truly family, and our greatest hope is that she finds a safe, loving forever home where she can continue being her sweet, sassy self

Story
Every now and again we come across a cat who isn’t like other cats, a cat who doesn’t fit any of the molds and whose behavior leaves us puzzled. Peaches is a perfect example. She and several other outdoor cats had been hanging around a warehouse, scavenging for food. She was underweight, skittish and we knew it was only a matter of time before she became pregnant. One of our intrepid fosters felt compelled to help. She managed to trap her along with two other cats, Clementine and Mr. Apple, and introduced them to indoor living. While they have all made huge progress in adapting to their new life, Peaches is still a little wary around people but her body language suggests that, deep down, she really does want to trust them. She follows her foster mom around the house and she loves to play with toys. She will flip over on her back and expose her belly, but quickly recoil when anyone tries to pet her. Peaches enjoys playing games on the kitty iPad and she loves playing with her feline buddies. She’s just not quite ready for a touchy-feely relationship with a human. She is very food motivated and would probably be happiest in a home with one of her feline friends or another young cat. As she is not yet confident around people, she would do best in a calm home with experienced cat owners. For more information, please contact us at animaladvocatesofnorthtexas@ymail.com
