Story
Every now and again we come across a cat who isn’t like other cats, a cat who doesn’t fit any of the molds and whose behavior leaves us puzzled. Peaches is a perfect example. She and several other outdoor cats had been hanging around a warehouse, scavenging for food. She was underweight, skittish and we knew it was only a matter of time before she became pregnant. One of our intrepid fosters felt compelled to help. She managed to trap her along with two other cats, Clementine and Mr. Apple, and introduced them to indoor living. While they have all made huge progress in adapting to their new life, Peaches is still a little wary around people but her body language suggests that, deep down, she really does want to trust them. She follows her foster mom around the house and she loves to play with toys. She will flip over on her back and expose her belly, but quickly recoil when anyone tries to pet her. Peaches enjoys playing games on the kitty iPad and she loves playing with her feline buddies. She’s just not quite ready for a touchy-feely relationship with a human. She is very food motivated and would probably be happiest in a home with one of her feline friends or another young cat. As she is not yet confident around people, she would do best in a calm home with experienced cat owners. For more information, please contact us at animaladvocatesofnorthtexas@ymail.com

Rosie is ready for her happy ever after. This sweet girl has the best temperament and she loves all the cats and dogs in her foster home. Her last 2 kittens were adopted this week and we’d love to find her a loving home too. She is always happy and affectionate and appreciates receiving attention. She is not needy or demanding but would make a perfect companion for the right family. Rosie is sure to bring joy to the lucky family that adopts her. Story
Satski walked into our lives one fateful night when we were returning home. She greeted us warmly at our door asking for food and love. I immediately fell in love and brought her in not knowing she was pregnant. She gave birth to 7 beautiful kittens in our bedroom, and she has transformed into the sweetest house cat ever since then. Satski has the softest meows and purrs. She loves to cuddle in bed sharing a warm blanket. Often times I would wake up to her curled up near my face. She loves to be petted and scratched. She is very clean and is also good with kids. Satski needs a stable permanent home where she can feel loved and safe and grow old. She is about 3 years old and still loves to play and chase after Stevie. She is bonded to Stevie and they love cuddling together and cleaning each other.

Meet Ayra ALL PETS AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION ONLY TO RESIDENTS OF THE DALLAS/FT WORTH METROPLEX MEET AND GREET APPOINTMENTS SET UP WITH PRE-APPROVED APPLICATION ONLY Ayra and her 3 kittens were taken in by a rescue friend so when she asked for help with finding them forever homes how could we say no! They are absolutely stunning with gorgeous markings. ! Mama Ayra is very affectionate and talkative. All of the cats including Mama love playing with each other so would do well adopted in pairs or into homes with other cats. They have learned to tolerate/scare off my dog but I wouldn’t say that they get along. If you would like to meet Ayra, the first step in the process is to complete an application. Please go to roadtrip4paws.com and click on the Adopt tab to find a link to our online application We reserve the right to refuse placement of an animal for any reason

Not good with dogs, Not good with cats, House-trained, Spayed or Neutered,
Story
This was my mom’s domestic short hair cat named Sister. She is around 6 years old and was adopted by my mom in the summer of 2020 when she was just a few weeks old. She has been spayed and chipped, but I do not believe she is current on vaccinations. After my mom passed away three years ago, my stepdad continued caring for her, but due to health issues he is no longer able to give her the care and attention she needs. He is elderly and cannot physically care for her anymore and asked me to help him rehome her. She is an indoor cat, litter box trained, and would do best as the only cat in the home. We are unsure how she does with small children, but we do know she does not get along with other cats or dogs. She is pretty independent, keeps mostly to herself, shy, easily startled, usually likes relaxing under the bed during the day. Likes to be in the same room with you but wants her space and is not a cuddler. She rarely wants affections. Need to rehome ASAP.
