Story
How this pet arrived: Remi was brought in by her previous owner on January 24, 2026. Why this pet is the one for you:Are you looking for a best friend who thinks you are the absolute center of the universe? Meet Remi! This sweet girl is a professional "people person" who has never met a human (including kids!) she didn't want to charm. She is incredibly affiliative, which is just a fancy way of saying she's a world-class snuggler and your future #1 fan. Remi has a very important request for her future home: She wants to be your one and only! While she loves humans with all her heart, she's not exactly looking for a canine roommate. She's looking for a home where she can be the sole recipient of all the treats, belly rubs and attention. Because she's not a fan of other pups, she's trading in the dog park and doggie daycare life for on-leash adventures and other bonding activities in places with low dog traffic. Remi is a smarty-pants who needs more than just a quick walk around the block. She's looking for a family that can keep her busy with lots of exercise and mental enrichment. Think puzzle toys, scent work or learning cool new tricks! She thrives on positive reinforcement training (did someone say treats?) and is ready to show off how quickly she can learn. Ready to make Remi the center of your world? Come meet her today! At SDHS:Remi has been vaccinated, microchipped and spayed. She is now ready for her new home! Primary Color: Brindle Secondary Color: White Weight: 78.4 Age: 5yrs 9mths 3wks

Story
Apollo is a beautiful purebred Cane Corso. He will need a strong owner who has experience with mastiffs, pit bulls or bulldogs. Apollo would do best in an active home with good fencing. He loves to run and play but dog parks are a no no. Typical of this breed, he does not do well with other male dogs. Apollo likes to play hard so supervision with female dogs is needed at the start. He is also loving and sweet and would love to curl up on the couch with you! Very good on a leash as well.

Story
Caruso joined Frosted Faces Foundation in January 2025 after being found tied to the entrance of the Lancaster Shelter. Following his required stray hold, he was placed on the euthanasia list. Thankfully, we were able to welcome him as a Frosted Face. Once safe with us, Caruso quickly showed his true colors. He is a sweet, affectionate boy who loves to cuddle and soak up attention. He walks beautifully on leash, sits politely for treats (without even being asked!), and takes them with the softest touch. Caruso also enjoys car rides and outings, making him a wonderful companion both at home and on the go. With so many wonderful qualities, it’s no surprise that Caruso was soon adopted. He and his new dad were a great match - truly two peas in a pod. Sadly, after 10 happy months together, his dad’s declining health made it impossible for him to continue caring for Caruso, and Caruso was returned to us through no fault of his own. While Caruso misses his dad and the comfort of a home, he's ready to open his heart again and is hoping this next chapter will be his forever. Do you have room in your heart and home for this handsome hunk of love? To meet Caruso, please email: placement@frostedfacesfoundation.org

Story
How this pet arrived:This pet was brought in by their previous owner on January 22, 2026. Why this pet is the one for you: Meet Mozart, a friendly, energetic dog who thrives on quality time with his humans, adventure and lots of cuddles. Ideal for an active owner, Mozart loves long walks on a leash and enjoys having all the attention to himself, making him best suited for a home without other pets. After burning off some energy, Mozart quietly settles in for a nap or solo playtime with a toy or enrichment items. His zest for life and sweet personality make every day a new opportunity for fun and bonding. Mozart loves to be the star of the show and soak up all the love and attention, so he is requesting to be the only dog in his new home. Mozart has also been found to have two fractured teeth and may require treatment after adoption, so we recommend following up with your veterinarian to keep him happy and healthy. Adopting Mozart means gaining a cuddle bug of a companion ready to fill your days with joy and activity. At SDHS:This pet has been vaccinated, microchipped and spayed/neutered. This pet is now ready for adoption! Primary Color: Brindle Secondary Color: White Weight: 82 Age: 7yrs 2mths 0wks

Story
Meet Fiona 💕 Fiona is a beautiful Neapolitan Mastiff estimated to be around 3 years old. It’s very clear that she was used extensively for breeding before coming to us, and despite everything she’s been through, she is nothing short of incredible. She is incredibly sweet, gentle, and affectionate. Fiona has a playful side but is overall a super chill, easygoing girl who truly loves the simple things like cuddling, belly rubs, and being close to her people. She has the kindest soul and a very soft presence. Fiona is non-reactive and tolerant around other dogs, but she would do best as the only dog in the home. Due to the heavy facial folds common in her breed, her vision is not the best, so fast-moving dogs, especially during playful moments can sometimes startle her. She does have severe hip dysplasia, likely a result of being bred repeatedly, and she will need a home that understands and can manage her orthopedic needs. When Fiona arrived, she was very underweight, but with proper care and nutrition, she is slowly and steadily putting healthy weight back on. We are looking for a home with mastiff or giant breed experience, someone who understands her structure, limitations, and the special care she deserves. One of the sweetest things about Fiona? Sometimes she sings and it is absolutely adorable. Fiona has so much love to give and deserves a calm, understanding home where she can finally just be a dog, loved, safe, and cherished by her humans. If interested in meeting Fiona, please apply on our website today! https://www.underdogheroes.org/applytoadopt

Story
How this pet arrived: Kona was brought in by her previous owner on December 6, 2025. Why this pet is the one for you:Meet Kona! This gorgeous brindle girl is looking for a new home! She's been a bit fearful in our care, but with slow introductions and patience, her warm, affectionate side truly shines. Once she feels safe, Kona is the kind of pup who loves soaking up pets, riding shotgun on car adventures and enjoying a breezy day at the beach. Kona is both crate trained and potty trained, giving her a great head start in her new home. She has done well with other dogs out and about, but she prefers not to share her favorite people - so she's looking to be the only dog in the home. Any kids in the household will need to meet her ahead of time to ensure it's a great fit for everyone. If you're looking for a sweet companion who just needs a little time to blossom, Kona may be your perfect match! Come in and ask about adopting today! At SDHS:Kona has been vaccinated, microchipped and spayed. Kona is now ready for her new home!
