Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Hello, my name is Nitro. I am a super sweet, loving guy, and REALLY need a human with a strong arm, because I'm a big, eager boy!! I kind of have this high track record for getting loose.... I'm just too smart, I can't help myself! Both times I've been in a home with no fenced yard, and then an apartment setting, I did NOT like being held back by leashes all the time, so I just used my size and strength to my advantage and figured out how to get free so I can see more of this world!! The humans tell me it's not good for me to get loose like this, because we live in a busy city and so far I've been a pro at dodging these crazy city drivers on the street, but I'm worried that one day if I get loose again, I might not be so lucky. I'm just a strong eager boy, and if I don't have a strong, dedicated handler, then let's just say I'll be the one walking YOU (or... you know... dragging you along..). It's SO important I find an adopter that is truly able to physically handle a boy with power like me. The humans here will give you lots of great tips and suggestions, so we can be so successful together! Overall I am a super sweet and hilarious guy. I have been known to be a tad bit shy with men, but I'm not looking for issues by any means, I just might like to keep to myself around them. I have been friendly with every single person I have met, and love a nice head scratch and some lovin. I would do best without cats, because I just can't seem to mind my manners around them and would hate to spook them because of my size. I do well with other doggos, but I might come on a TAD bit strong. My favourite dog friends are the ones that like to interact and maybe play with me. I need a home with a fully fenced yard that is nice and secure for a Houdini like myself. I would LOVE an adopter that is familiar with large breeds, but as long as you're strong, willing to work on training on leash, and have the suitable environment I'm looking for, I'm open to any fun, loving adopter! I cannot wait to find my new home!!!

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. If interested in any of our animals for adoption, or to foster an animal, please fill out the respective application here to get the process started. Visit our FAQ webpage for commonly asked questions about our adoption/foster process. Meet the magnificent Miss Hetti. She is a playful, energy abundant Cane Corso, and likely, boxer mix. Her most recent weight has her up to 68lbs at around 16 months old. She loves tummy rubs, fetch, and Benebone chew toys. Hetti thrives on multiple walks per day however can over heat quickly in higher temps. She is very strong and still learning manners with passing animals so an experienced handler and dog owner is a must. She loves greeting people but due to her size and still puppy behaviors, a house with kids over 12 is preferred. For Hetti to live her best life she should be a solo canine with a large fenced yard and an active owner willing to give her the exercise and attention she needs. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all animals before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the animals shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. The microchips are registered to Last Day Dog Rescue with the adopter's info added once adopted. If the animal is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Animals MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our animals back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted animal. Please understand the statements about this animal are based upon the foster home's evaluation of the animal. The animal might behave differently (negatively or positively) in your home. While the animal might be good with the current foster’s dogs, cats, children, etc., it may not be with your animal(s) or children. The animal may be housebroken or litter trained in the home of the foster but may relapse in your home. The animal is represented to the public as it performs in the foster home and any statements made regarding the animal are conditional to that foster home setting. Please understand that statements made regarding this animal are simply overviews and are not guaranteed. The Petfinder.com system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our animals. Visual breed identification in animals is unreliable so for most of the animals we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each animal as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our animals based on personality, not by breed label. Thank you for looking through our list of animals needing forever homes and choosing rescue first. We appreciate you stopping by. June 4, 2023, 4:14 pm
