Story
Ruby is a six year old American Pitbull Terrier/Cain Corso mix from a hoarding case where she endured physical abuse and many hungry nights. We suspect that Ruby was born and raised in that environment and has never received exposure to the outside world. Due to this, it takes Ruby some time to warm up to you.Once she does, she is an in your pocket type of pup! A wonderful sponsor is willing to cover my adoption cost of $225.00 so I can be adopted and enjoy being someone's best friend! All adopters must be vetted and approved to adopt from FOCCAS.Ruby has a way of making you feel wanted, when she greets you with a wagging nub and sweet face after a long day! She is very quiet and doesn't mind other dogs but would do best with a Male. She likes long walks and is doing well with leash training, and knows sit, down, touch and shake already! She does excellent when her foster mom bathes her and clips her nails, and is very patient. She is sweet and gentle until something scares her, then she jumps. She's good on a leash until something startles her, then she pulls.... And she's strong. She's a beautiful girl. Loving and gentle, loves attention but hates excitement. She's not a guard dog, she'll hide behind you in the threat of great danger, or if a butterfly scares her. Quiet, soft, and sweet Ruby, she wants to be right at your feetFOCCAS is a foster based, non-profit rescue in Crossville, TN. The adoption fee Includes Age-Appropriate Vaccinations (DA2PPV, Bordetella, Rabies), Deworming, Spay/Neuter, Microchip, Flea/Tick/Heartworm Prevention, and Sheltering. Adult Dogs are Heartworm Tested and Treated as Needed. FOCCAS does not DNA test or guarantee breed. My adoption fee has been donated by an anonymous donor!!! If transport is needed, $300.00 will need to be added to cover extra vetting and testing requirements by the department of agriculture and transport fees (out of state, East Coast, Great Lakes or New England regions). Story
She is a good dog and very loving. She is good with other animals. Doesn’t chase cats, but she is kind of and alpha, but doesn’t act aggressive. She has a problem of chasing kids when they’re running and can nip at them, but she isn’t trying to be mean. I think she is trying to play, but she is too rough for my kids. She seems to listen to men better, but I could be wrong. Ginny is a great dog, but she is too much for us. She is cane Corso and pitbull mix. Please meet her and you won’t be disappointed.

She is a little more hesitant with strangers but warms up to every person she meets eventually!  She is a big snuggler and loves chewing on tenis balls! Glinda is a resilient rescue dog who was saved from a large litter where her mother posed a hazard to the puppies due to being overzealous. Despite her rough start, Glinda has adapted well and shown a loving temperament. She has experience being around medium to large dogs and enjoys playful interactions with them. While she hasn't been exposed to cats or young children, Glinda has demonstrated good behavior around older kids (12+ years). She is working on crate-training, which helps her feel secure and provides her with a sense of comfort in her own space. Glinda is curious, affectionate, and eager to please, making her an ideal companion for outdoor activities and a loving addition to any family willing to continue her socialization and exploration journey.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 2, 2024, 5:23 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Meatball! Meatball joined our rescue after his owner fell ill and entered hospice. HDDCR happily stepped in to help the Meatball's family. Meatball is a very sweet guy that loves belly rubs, going for walks, playing in the yard and wrestling with his dog buddies. Meatball is very puppy-like and you must love doggy antics to love this guy. Meatball is very smart and understands complete sentence commands.  He also knows the difference between his ball and various balls. Meatball loves to play fetch and he will find the exact ball that you threw. He will pick up that ball to show you he found it but if it's not his favorite ball, he will drop it and find his favorite ball to bring back to you. Meatball is crate trained and he loves rides in the car.  Meatball is always happy to see his person! Meatball is an all-around great companion and an absolute joy to have around. If you think Meatball is the dog for you, fill out an adoption application and give this fellow a home!   Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue microchips all dogs and cats before adoption.
