Max is updated on shots, neutered, loved kids, love being petted. He has a smaller dog in the house and plays with her and has never hurt her. However, the smaller dog will whimper and cry, he told to go to place. He’s a gentle giant . The kids has pulled his tail, sat on him back, pulled his legs and he has never hurt them at all. The kids ages are 5 years and 6 years old.. He will bark when he hears something outside and will bark if someone is coming to the house . He has been introduced to strangers and once he smells their hand, he’s fine. He will allow the stranger that he didn’t know to pet him. I selected a place in my house that I call Place and will say to him to go to Place. He will stay for awhile but if I get up and move, he will follow me wherever I go including the bathroom (he tried but I don’t allow him to come in)… He tried playing with my 5 lbs Maltese but she growls at him and shows her little teeth and when he tried playing with her, she whimper and cry

Scooby Doo A18652678 lb. neutered male, approx 3 years old 💙 Big boy, big personality, and a whole lot of love to give!-This handsome guy is about 78 pounds, but he’s a little too skinny for his size and could stand to put on some good weight. He may be a big, strong boy, but underneath all that muscle is a playful, good-natured guy who is ready for someone to show him the ropes.-Let’s be honest—he is STRONG! 💪 His leash skills need some work, and he can pull hard enough that he’ll drag someone who isn’t prepared for him. He’ll definitely need a confident, capable handler who can continue working with him on polite walking and basic manners.-Once we got outside, he took care of business several times before becoming interested in my treat pouch. He was very eager to help himself, so we practiced sitting and taking treats. He started out very gently, although that last little bite can occasionally come with a little extra enthusiasm. He’ll need continued work on taking treats politely.-Inside, he came right over when I sat down and happily accepted pets. He isn’t overly needy—he’s just a busy boy who likes to keep moving and doesn’t settle for long yet. He even tried checking out the garbage, but when I told him “no,” he listened very well.-He showed some playful interest in a stuffed toy and had a brief little play session before deciding he had other things to investigate.-This big guy has plenty of energy and plenty to learn, but he’s smart, responsive, affectionate and playful. With a confident handler, some patience, and continued work on his manners, he has so much potential.-He’s a good boy who just needs someone who can handle his big body, big strength, and big personality.-Seems non reactive to dogs nearby and may do well living with a fur sibling after slow and proper intros Unknown behavior with dogs/cats/kids•Meet all of our adoptable pets on our website friendsofdacc.org/adopt •Please keep in mind that the shelter can be a very stressful environment. •Studies show that a minimum of 3 days decompression drastically lower stress hormones and allow the dog to show more personality after they have settled in. •There is a suggested donation of $100 for our dogs, payable by cash, check or through paypal at the time of the adoption. •To meet them please go to front door and a DACC staff member will assist you with adoption or fostering. **And when coming to meet one of our dogs, please bring all the humans with you, but leave any current dogs at home. Beaux was found as a stray in Rouge Park, a known dumping spot for unwanted dogs. Scared and alone a kind couple found him wandering and took him in. Reached out to the rescue and we were able to find a foster. He is still learning but does well on walks and fully potty training. Unknown with cats but great with other dogs. He already knows several commands he is a very smart dude! I got him from my sister a while ago but now I’m starting to realize that I’m too busy for him and my family isn’t making it any easier, I work from 3pm to 12AM every day. He is 8 years old but still a very healthy active dog and the friendliest most trustworthy dog to a fault and will take to anyone instantly and loves to meet new people. I want to give him to someone that can give him the attention I can’t give him throughout the day and I know will take good care of him.
