Story
Sycamore is a 4-month-old blue Cane Corso mix with a heart as big as her playful personality. She is a lively, wiggly little girl who loves to explore, play, and be the center of attention. Full of puppy energy, she is curious about the world and thrives on interaction, making her a joyful companion for an active household.Being so young, Sycamore will need a family ready to commit to basic puppy training, including learning manners, leash skills, and proper socialization. She is eager to please and responds well to positive reinforcement, but she will need guidance as she grows into her big, strong adult body.Sycamore’s playful and enthusiastic nature means she is best suited for a home with children aged 10 and up who can handle her boundless energy and puppy antics. She loves to be part of the action, enjoys cuddles when she’s tired from play, and is looking for a family who will shower her with attention while setting clear boundaries. This sweet girl is searching for a loving home that understands puppies take patience, consistency, and plenty of affection. If you’re ready for puppy wiggles, playful kisses, and lots of love, Sycamore is ready to be your loyal, fun-loving companion. If you are interested in adopting me or another homeless pet at Macomb County Animal Control, walk-in adoption hours are Monday-Friday from 10am-4pm.My adoption fee is Sponsored!

Story
Nico is an 8-month-old, 76 lb gentle giant with a goofy heart and a loyal soul. I raised him from a puppy, and we’ve been through so much together he’s not just a dog to me, he’s family. He’s loving, playful, smart, and very in tune with people’s emotions. He’s been in training to be my service animal and naturally picks up on emotional distress offering comfort, leaning in close, and trying to make things better. He thrives when he knows he has a purpose and someone to love. Due to unexpected housing circumstances, I’m having to make the incredibly painful decision to find him a new home. I want the very best for him a family who sees his worth and gives him the love, stability, and space he deserves. A home with a yard to run in, maybe another dog to play with, and humans who understand just how special he is. This isn’t giving up on him. This is loving him enough to let him go somewhere he can thrive. If you’re that kind of home one full of patience, and love.

Mazie is a small dog in a large dog's body. She was on a sleep over away from the shelter and the family knew she was one of the good ones so they decided to foster her. Story
**If you are interested in adopting Blade Tyrone, please contact Alicia at 248-875-0654.** Meet Blade 🐾 Blade was the runt of his litter, but you’d never know it from the size of his heart. He is an incredibly sweet, gentle, and well-mannered dog who truly loves being around people. Blade absolutely adores children and plays with my nieces and nephews all the time. When someone comes over, he has to say hello—usually by leaning in for hugs or asking for rubs. Blade is a quiet dog and not much of a barker. The only times he makes noise are when he needs to go outside (he is fully house-trained) or when he’s “talking” to you—he has his own little motions and specific barks for certain things. It’s actually very endearing. He loves chewing on empty plastic bottles, relaxing, and laying or sitting right next to you. Blade has never bitten anyone and is very friendly with adults—sometimes he’ll even get so happy that he jumps up briefly for a head rub or hug. He also gets along well with cats, which is great since there are many in the neighborhood. Blade is very sensitive and protective in the sweetest way. He does not like yelling or fighting—if voices get raised, he will step in between people and gently push them apart. Sometimes he may lightly grab an arm (without biting) to pull someone away, as if to say, “Please stop.” He does not dig holes in the yard, which is rare, and overall he is a calm, loving companion who just wants to be near his people. Blade truly needs a loving home as soon as possible. He is a wonderful dog with a big heart, and he deserves a family who will give him the love he gives so freely. If you have any questions or would like to meet Blade, please don’t hesitate to contact me. Thank you for taking the time to read about this amazing boy. 💙 *This pet is featured through our Pet Re-Homing Program. This is a private pet. Please use your best judgement when deciding to meet. Any questions or comments regarding this pet should be directed to the owner listed. Again, this is not a pet affiliated with Oakland County Animal Shelter. This program was created to help residents of Oakland County needing placement of a loving pet and hopefully avoiding a stressful shelter environment.
