PEPPA (watch my video!) Female ~8 months old Cane Corso mix 39 lbs. Microchipped, up-to-date on core vaccines and takes monthly flea/tick/heartworm prevention Amazing with dogs and kids; good with cats Meet Peppa! Part baby deer, part professional snuggler, and 100% lovable goofball! Sweet little Peppa landed at the Prince George’s County Animal Shelter in mid-August. With her adorable face, irresistible personality, and tiny nubbin of a tail that NEVER stops wiggling, it’s pretty much impossible not to fall head over heels in love. Unfortunately, Peppa wasn’t feeling nearly as good as her happy little tail would have you believe. When LOVEPAWS saved her, she was severely underweight and battling a respiratory infection, painful entropion in both eyes, a still-healing docked tail, and a tick-borne infection. Thankfully, with a loving foster home, medical care, and lots of TLC, Peppa got healthy enough to be spayed and have surgery to correct both eyes. She’s healing beautifully, feeling SO much better, and back to her happy, goofy little self! Now, can we talk about those LEGS?! Watching Peppa run and play might just be one of the cutest things you’ll ever see. She looks like a baby deer who hasn’t quite figured out what to do with all four legs! She’s all lanky limbs, puppy enthusiasm, and hilariously uncoordinated moves. We suspect she’s a 7–10-month-old Cane Corso mix, and now that she’s finally getting proper nutrition, she’s starting to fill out that goofy, long-legged body of hers. Peppa’s absolute favorite thing in the world is being with her people. She’s a certified cuddle enthusiast who firmly believes personal space is completely overrated. She also ADORES other dogs and has kitty friends at home, too! Whether she’s romping around with her four-legged buddies or snuggling up with her foster siblings for a puppy pile at naptime, Peppa loves having friends around. Why sleep alone when you can use another dog as a pillow? Peppa absolutely LOVES children! In her previous foster home, she was a regular participant in bedtime routines and school pickups. She’s a social butterfly who wants to be included in EVERYTHING and naturally assumes everyone she meets has been waiting their whole life to meet HER. Honestly, she’s probably right. Despite everything she’s been through, Peppa has the sweetest heart and SO much love to give. She’d make an incredible family dog or loyal best friend, bringing endless affection, entertainment, and a little adorable puppy chaos. Now all this little girl needs is a forever family to grow up with, someone to love her through her goofy puppy years, watch her grow into those ridiculously long legs, and give her the happy ending she deserves.
