Story
Born in February 2026, Angus didn`t exactly get the start every puppy deserves. He came to us malnourished, had been covered in ticks, and was carrying a fractured leg that hadn`t been treated. We dont know exactly what breed mixture he is. We were told Cane Corso Great Dane mix, though he was acquired at a flea market, so who knows? Being injured and malnourished makes it hard to tell how large he will get, but were thinking big!Angus suffered a femoral fracture sometime before arriving at the shelter. We dont know how it happened, but it occurred long enough ago that the bone has started bridging the gap on its own. The leg is healing a bit crooked, leaving him with a slight limp, but youd never know it from watching him race around the yard. Thankfully, it doesnt appear to be causing him pain. Our veterinarians recommend taking things one day at a time-if the leg continues to serve him well, it can stay just as it is. If it becomes painful in the future, amputation may be the best option.Because Angus has some orthopedic challenges, our veterinarian is recommending that he wait until about a year of age to be neutered so his growing bones and joints can get all the hormonal support they can. We will require whoever adopts him to sign a contract regarding his future neuter. Now for the important stuff: Angus hobbies include carrying his food bowl around, chewing on humans, and enthusiastically launching his entire body at children he loves. He seems to adore kids but is still working on the concept that friends are not bowling pins. Once he gets the initial excitement of greeting people of his system, he`s pretty calm for a puppy.Angus is doing an impressive job with potty training and tries very hard to hold it when he can. He`s playful, curious, and seems convinced that every day is the best day ever. He can be loud when he meets new dogs, but so far, he does well with everyone he has met.His leg may be a little crooked, but his spirit certainly isn`t. If you`re looking for a resilient goofball with a permanent happy attitude and a slightly unconventional gait, Angus might just be your guy.

Story
Chloe is the total package: sweet, affectionate, and always ready for an adventure... as long as that adventure doesn`t involve stepping in puddles. Wet paws? Absolutely not. That`s simply not her journey. She`s wonderful on walks, prefers to stop and smell every flower, and fully embraces the finer things in life. Pup cups? Yes. Massages? Obviously. Being told she`s the most beautiful girl you`ve ever seen? Required.Chloe is a strong lady with some big feelings, and when excitement gets the best of her she may grab at hands with her mouth as a way of expressing herself. Her future family should be comfortable with her size and ready to continue helping her learn more appropriate ways to channel that excitement. When it comes to other dogs, Chloe is a little socially awkward. She`s not looking to be the life of the party—she`d much rather have a calm, confident canine friend who isn`t fazed by her enthusiastic personality. She`s also lived successfully with children and would do best with kids who are comfortable around a large dog and won`t be overwhelmed by her size.Chloe has so much love to give and enough personality to keep you laughing every single day. We fell for her almost immediately, and we`re pretty sure you`ll be just as smitten. Just remember to compliment her on the way home it really is the polite thing to do.If you are interested in adopting Chloe, please visit the shelter during adoption hours.

Story
Raine is searching for her forever home! WHAT MY FOSTER SAYS ABOUT ME: This sweet mama has devoted herself to raising her adorable litter of puppies, and now she's ready to embrace all the joys of life as a beloved companion. Raine is looking forward to her new adventure and all the wonderful experiences that adoption brings! Raine's foster family reports that she's doing great on walks and will quickly master her leash manners in a training class. One of her standout traits is her talent as a trained retriever-she loves to play fetch and will happily drop the toy at your feet! Recently, she's taken on the role of soccer goalie, skillfully stopping squeaky balls from getting past her. When playtime wraps up, Raine enjoys burrowing under the covers, where she can completely disappear! This sweet girl has a special fondness for cheese and won't hesitate to remind you if she hasn't had her daily share. Raine is also getting comfortable in her crate, happily settling in whether the gate is open or closed when her foster is around. With a bit of patience and training, she'll soon feel at ease in her crate even when left alone. If you're looking for a loving and playful companion who's ready to fill your days with joy and snuggles, Raine is the perfect match for you! Come meet her and see how she can brighten your life! Please check out a video of Raine here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OyI8jKYmC30 -------------- Laila's Legacy Animal Rescue does not guarantee that any dog is housebroken nor crate trained.
