Story
Misha is a 5 year old female cane Corso, pure bred. We got her from a breeder in Vancouver Washington when she was 8 weeks old. She is a wonderful dog, great with cats and loves other dogs. She loves snuggles and laying by the fire. She is very low energy, enjoys walks. We did get Misha in the middle of the pandemic in March 2020, Misha is a “pandemic dog” meaning she wasn’t properly socialized in puppyhood. She is generally suspicious of strangers at first but she does warm up and welcome strangers as long as they give her proper space for her to feel comfortable. She requires a gentle introduction, people cannot be in her space too fast, she likes to observe and sniff first. Once she is comfortable with you she is a complete teddy bear. She loves to give “blessings” by putting her paw on you to initiate pets. Misha is fully house trained, non destructive, and kennel trained. She has been raised with children of all ages. She is a big girl so give caution to her size with littles.

Story
Welcome Bob to CCPAL Rescue. He is a 5.5 year old Cane Corso/Mastiff mixed dog. He is about 70 pounds and he is very sweet. He is now ready for his forever home. He is an adorable bubble blower and he had the most adorable drool on the video. If you love the Mastiff breed then you know they drool. It is a part of their charm. He will be a loyal boy and he is lower on the energy scale. He was extremely happy to be walking her at the rescue. We have been spending lots of time getting all the adult dogs good on leash. He has a lower coat and not a huge shedding dog. He would be great for an older couple looking for a large and lower energy companion. He would also be good for a family where the man works out of town and he wants to know his kids and wife feel safe with a dog watching the scene. He is healthy and getting vaccines. He is neutered and ready for his forever home. He is in Texas and can be adopted locally. We work with one of the wonderful transporters to get him to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. His adoption fee is $300 and transport is $200. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states. Story
Welcome Jacks to CCPAL Rescue. Jacks is an 11-month-old Cane Corso/Australian Heeler. He is very affectionate, knows sit, loves water and can open a fence latch. He is a smart boy. He really is attentive and has had a wonderful foster before entering the shelter. He is wonderful at sitting when you ask him to sit. A carabiner is adequate to block him from flipping the latch of the gate open. This is what we use to secure the gate of his kennel. We don’t think he is the type that wants to run away. He is smart and bored in his kennel is all. He is a great dog and we think he would be a great hiker, walker and companion dog for an outdoor enthusiast. He loves all people and doesn’t seem at all bothered by strangers. He is friendly to everyone. He would be fine with children. We like them to be 8 and older due to his size. He weighs about 60 pounds and looks to be a good weight. He has a beautiful blocky head and with the harness on he was relatively easy to walk. We are looking for a moderately active family for this dog. We think he is very handsome and is going to appeal to men because of his beautiful head and athletic build. He is neutered, vaccinated, healthy and ready for his forever home. He is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally in Texas. We can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get this gorgeous dog to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minnesota, Vermont or all along the east Coast. His adoption fee is 300 and transport is 200. . Story
Kane is a super sweet boy that LOVES attention! He turned two in November. He is a heavy chewer but with the right toys and attention he is good with not chewing on your house and furniture. He needs a big yard to play in and someone that is home enough to work with him on training and just give him lots of love. He is great with kids and is not aggressive towards new people he meets. He is leash aggressive meaning if you put him on a leash he goes into protective mode. he is dog aggressive. I think he would be fine if you brought in a new animal and introduced him when they are a baby. He is a protective breed so he does bark at any outside noises to let you know someone is outside. He loves to play tug-a-war and fetch. He loves to cuddle up on the couch next to you or will lay on the bed at the bottom of your feet at night until he gets too hot and moves to the floor. he will follow you around the house, wants to be by your side at all times. He is kennel trained.

Story
Animal Profile: Pebbles is an approximately 2-year-old, 65 lb female bully breed mix -- we think Cane Corso and/or Boxer.  She has a docked or bob tail and has recovered from cherry eye surgery.  She was friendly with people and dogs during her shelter evaluation.  Foster Update: I'm pretty sure Pebbles is a Bully/Boxer mix as she definitely has the personality to match!  She is very playful and energetic, loves toys and romping around like a goofball so her ideal home would include a yard. She does very well in her crate when it's time to quiet down, is quiet all night and does well for up to 7 hours while I am away. She is a bit shy and unsure with new people but once she is given some time to build trust she is very affectionate and loves to get pets and scratches. We have been spending the most time currently on leash training. She is food motivated, so smart and learns very quickly.  Training Update: Pebbles is thriving with formal training -- she has learned loose leash walking, place, recall basics, and not jumping up. She is working on her confidence with new people and in public. She is shy but tolerant with new people, and tolerant of dogs and cats. She would be well matched with a more quiet household and patient owners who are willing to work on building trust but won't coddle her entirely.  Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $550 which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations per AVMA standards, heartworm test if applicable, microchip with registration, and health certificate. Your adoption fee may be tax deductible as DGS is a 501c3 organization. All adoption fees go toward the care of all dogs in our rescue.  Includes Take Home Training Session Apply Online: www.DogGoneSeattle.org/adoption-application Animal History: This dog came into the San Bernardino animal shelter as a stray and was listed for euthanasia due to space and cherry eye.  She arrives in Seattle on 11/12 and will will be available for adoption in the greater Seattle area once evaluated in foster care.  November 6, 2024, 5:36 pm

Story
Rene was wandering around the block for several weeks, until he was given the opportunity to enter the home of one of the rescuers. He has been a very protective, loving dog, and from the first moment he was always grateful. He has gained weight and is ready for his new home. He loves to get close to the fence to be petted by neighbors. He is good with cats, although because of his size we do not leave him unsupervised when he is with them, and he lives with most females. He doesn't like to have another male around, he is the alpha and everyone knows it, but with people, he is the biggest baby of them all. He loves treats, lots of love and affection, going for walks and playing with balls and rubber toys. The $550.00 adoption fee covers the following: Transport to Oregon or Washington. Spay/Neuter. All vaccines up to date. Deworming (puppies 2 sets). Flea medication up to date. Tick control up to date. Microchip. Microchip registration to new owner paid for. Collar. Temporary leash.
