Story
Meet Beautiful Dot, Dot was rescued in the middle of July during a heat wave with her mom and brother Saddle without any resources to food or water. We knew time was against them and the little family was safely brought into their foster home. She was very malnourished and did great with her recovery. Dot is very loving and really enjoys to cuddle and play often with her brother and foster friends, she’s also good with cat friendly dogs. Dot would do best in a home without small children because they scare her. She really appreciates lounging around in a calmer environment. Dot loves cat tunnels and toys with feathers.

Story
Gabriela and Lucas were found abandoned, dirty and malnourished when they were about five weeks old. Found by their foster mother, who brought them back to health and has raised them both as siblings with an abundance of love care. They do well with other cats, but have expressed fear with dogs when exposed. It’s possible they could warm up to them over time if the dogs were calm and non-threatening, but full disclosure they were fearful the first time they met any. They would well with a quieter calm home and with older gentle children who are respectful of animals. Gabriela is more reserved at first, but once she is given the confidence of love she begins to reveal her loving personality. She is playful and loving. just like her brother Lucas. Both Lucas and Gabriela have built a strong bond with one another that is unbreakable and are always together. They bring out the best in each other and are looking for a loving home together as they are a bonded pair. Lucas is very out going and loves to make his presence known. He loves to play and loves making new friends. Once you pick him up he begins to show you his appreciation with his outgoing purr. If you think Gabriela and Lucas would be a good fit for your family, and you can provide them with a safe, indoor only life, please submit an application on our website at www.secondchancekitty.org today! All Second Chance Kitty cats are free-fed a quality dry food with low or no grain and are STRICTLY INDOOR ONLY. Studies have proven cats live longer, healthier lives and on average require less financial burdens at veterinary offices when they are kept indoor only. There are so many predators out there, both human and animal and it is sadly unsafe to let them roam unattended. All of our babes come altered, microchipped, vaccinated, rabies (if age appropriate), FeLV/FIV negative unless stated otherwise , dewormed, flea treated, litter box trained and full of love. Our adoption fees are a minimum $150 donation. Anything beyond $150 helps rescue another babe. Adoption isn't an impulsive decision, it must be thought out carefully. Owning a cat is a 15 to 20+ year commitment. Can we afford a cat? If we're renting do they allow pets here? Is there a pet deposit? Can we afford the pet deposit? What if we get sick, what if the kitty becomes ill and has to see a veterinarian? Kitty requires routine check-ups, annual vaccines, quality food, litter and toys, can we afford this? These are all questions a responsible pet owner must ask themselves. If you can make this type of commitment please take a moment and visit our website at www.secondchancekitty.org to submit an application. Second Chance Kitty is a local non-profit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to assisting cats, kittens and an occasional dog, escape a life of abandonment, abuse and neglect.
