Story
About a year or two ago I was walking out of the grocery store and I saw Simeon was handing out kittens for free. It was very cold that day and I knew I had to take at least one home with me. Shes is an indoor/outdoor cat and sweetest girl ever. She adapts very well to her surroundings and people. It breaks my heart to have to give her up but with my knew job I’m rarely home and I know it not fair for her. Please help me find her a new forever home!

Story
Meet Stumble & Fumble — double the charm, double the joy Stumble (black & white, male) and Fumble (gray & white, female) are two 6-month-old Domestic Medium–Long Haired kittens who just happen to have built-in playmate energy. They are not bonded, but they do wonderfully together and would be happy adopted as a pair — or could thrive individually in homes with another friendly cat. Both kittens have Cerebellar Hypoplasia (CH), a non-progressive neurological condition that affects balance and coordination. In simple terms, their “balance center” didn’t fully develop before birth. CH is not painful, not contagious, and does not worsen over time. Stumble has a mild wobble, while Fumble is a bit more unsteady — and both have already learned how to navigate the world in their own adorable ways. They eat well, use the litter box reliably, and get around just fine in a kitten-safe environment. These two are absolute sweethearts. They love being petted and enjoy belly rubs, soaking up affection until they’re ready to hop down and explore. They’re starting to play with string toys and become more confident with each passing day. They’re friendly with new people (a little petting helps break the ice!) and seem comfortable around other cats. Stumble and Fumble are healthy, parasite-free, up to date on vaccinations, and will be spayed/neutered and microchipped prior to adoption. They’d do best in homes that understand CH — think soft rugs for traction, ground-level lounging spots, and no very tall cat trees. In return, they offer gentle companionship, resilience, and a whole lot of heart. Whether adopted together or separately into cat-friendly homes, Stumble and Fumble are ready to bring love, laughter, and a few happy wobbles into your life.       GENERAL INFO:   Housebroken?: Littertrained Crate Trained?: NA Leash Trained?: NA Rides Well in Car?: In a crate Non-Shedding?: No Good with cats?: Yes, we think so Good with dogs?: UNKNOWN Qualifies for Seniors for Seniors?: Regular adoption fee applies Umbrella of Hope does not have any strict rules on ages of children because all children are different, but our best approximation is that this animal would do best with children over the age of 5 Umbrella of Hope is an all-volunteer, donation-run, non-profit animal rescue based out of Pittsburg, CA that rescues animals from local shelters, places them in private foster homes, provides them with needed medical care and then finds them new homes.  Also, ask us about our seniors for seniors program, where we adopt animals 5 years or older to qualified homes with a $5 donation as an adoption fee. Meet Nugget & Dot – A Bonded Pair Full of Personality!  Born May 7, 2025, Nugget and Dot are a lovable brother-sister duo who couldn’t be more different—or more inseparable. Story
Capone is very shy to start off and it will take him a little while to warm up. Once he does you will see how playful he is. He doesn’t like to be picked up but loves to come and sit/lay with you on his terms. He is very affectionate once you start petting him and will turn his purr motor up loud and insist on more and more pets. Capone loves to race his sister, lay in a quiet place in the sun and bird watch through the window. He loves his scratch pads and any crinkly toy. Capone is a bonded pair with his sister Piper and must be adopted together. He would do well in a dog -free home, as well as no other male cats. Likes children as long as he isn’t picked up and has a quiet space to retreat to when he is done socializing. Gets along well with other cats.    Please contact their foster for further info:  sarah89murray@gmail.com    Thank you for considering a rescued kitten!! These HALO kittens can be seen at Pet Food Express in  Clayton.     Clayton hours are every Saturday and Sunday, 10:30am-2:00pm.  Clayton store is located at 5404 Ygnacio Valley Rd.   Please bring your own carrier!     For further information, please email the foster, or contacthalo@yahoo.com.  To see more of our cats and dogs, go to http://www.eccchalo.org December 12, 2025, 8:02 pm

Story
Taz was found at the Antioch Library as a kitten by friends. She has lived with the same friends with multiple cats throughout her 11 years and has never caused problems. She has been picked on by some cats, though, so she tends to keep to herself. Taz is extremely shy and only comes out for people she really trusts. She needs a home with an experienced cat owner who can be patient with her while she gets comfortable. When she does feel comfortable, she loves to play with toys and be brushed and sit on a lap. Her current home is now unstable as some people have moved out, and the person left is not able to care well for the cats.
