Story
Found this little guy outside and gave him a home around 2 months ago. Great little monster, but unfortunately our lease is up and we can’t bring a cat with us. Wasn’t able to get him shots or anything but he seems healthy considering we found him outside. Eats well, plays with our senior dog and uses the litter box with no problems. He’s very vocal and loves to greet you in the morning when he sees you’re awake. Honestly would love to keep him but the new lease doesn’t let us and he definitely deserves a home with more resources to take care of him.

Story
Adoption Fee Reduced for December! Say hello to Buddy! Easygoing and Friendly are two words that perfectly describe him. Back in 2019, Buddy was fostered by his current foster mom. He was surrendered back to AOSC through no fault of his own and was adopted. No fault of his own was surrendered a second time in 2024-- he would love to find his FUREVER home. Buddy has a luxating patella, and it is causing arthritis in his knee. He has been responding well to Solensia shots, but that is an ongoing expense prospective adopters should be aware of. His foster mom has this to say about him: "Before coming back to me as a foster, Buddy was up for adoption at an adoption center, but was terrified at that particular adoption location. As soon as I brought him home, he has been nothing but sweet and affectionate! It has been fun fostering a previous foster of mine! Buddy loves human attention and loves to rub against your legs and be petted. He wants to be wherever YOU are! His foster home has 2 adult cats and he gets along with them very well. His last home he also got along with the other adult cat in the home. Buddy is curious and loves to sit and stare out the window. He LOVES Catnip and his favorite treats are Catnip Temptations! As a matter of fact, his favorite toys are filled with Catnip too! Buddy is a Good-Natured fellow who prefers to keep his space clean, including no bad litter box habits. This Handsome, Affectionate boy will be a great addition to a new family, and hopefully find the forever family that he deserves! Buddy is currently in a foster home. If you feel like he would be the perfect fit for your family, please consider visiting shelbycats.com/adopt to begin the application process!

Meet Sammi: A Handsome Tuxedo Gentleman Ready for His Forever Home! Get ready to fall in love with Sammi, a stunning 4-year-old tuxedo boy with gorgeous medium-length fur and a personality to match his good looks! This beautiful gentleman has spent his life as a beloved indoor companion, and he's ready to bring his charm and easygoing nature to a new family. Sammi is wonderfully low-maintenance and adaptable. He's not overly needy, which means once he settles into his new home, he'll fit right in with your routine. While he currently lives with two small dogs and even wrestles playfully with one of them (it's absolutely hilarious to watch!), Sammi would likely flourish in a quieter home where he can shine as the only pet and soak up all your attention. This laid-back boy has moderate activity levels and loves anything that moves—whether it's a feather wand, a crinkle ball, or a simple piece of string. He's the perfect companion for someone looking for a sweet, independent cat who doesn't demand constant entertainment but still enjoys interactive playtime. Sammi is a sensitive soul who prefers calm environments, so a home without young children would be ideal. He gets a little nervous during storms or loud noises like fireworks, but with patience and a cozy hiding spot, he'll feel safe and secure. This handsome tuxedo is waiting to meet you!
