Story
When Cyndi arrived at Whiskers as one of many kittens from a large outdoor colony, she wasntso sure what to think of her new digs and people always around. She started out pretty shy andscared, says her foster dad. It took a little bit more work to bring her around, but once theswitch flipped, she became a different cat. Today, Cyndi completely lives up to her namesake,80s legend Cyndi Lauper, from the wild splotches of color in her hair to how she boldly seeksout attention. Shes right at your feet once you walk in the room. She is the cuddliest kitten ofthe bunch. In fact, Cyndis favorite hobbies are snuggling on a lap or making biscuits on asoft blanket (or one of her siblings). Now, she just needs a home of her own for those true colorsto keep shining through. Could it be with you? - Buzz.

Story
Amid arctic temperatures and feet of fresh snow, one of Whiskers TNRs longtime supporters spotted an incredible sight: a cat shed never seen before trying to take shelter under her shed. Cecilia, as shes been dubbed since, was strikingly beautiful but clearly had a severe injury on her tail. But, as it turned out, Cecilia had even bigger challenges. Upon veterinary exam, it was determined that this girl is mostly blind and deaf, says her foster dad. The injured part of her tail has been amputated and she is happy and healthy recovering in the Whiskers building. Cecilia, whose name means blind, is a very quiet, sweet girl, he added. She loves to get pets but seems to be always be on guard. Even still, shes a standout with her gorgeous lynx point markings and stunning blue eyes. Her foster dad thinks she would shine even more in a quiet home where she could gradually settle in maybe even with a feline friend to show her the ropes. Is your home where sweet Cecilia will find all the pampering and love she so deserves? - Buzz.

Good with cats,
Story
This handsome orange and white boy doesnt sport a mullet or a cowboy tie for that matter but we most definitely see a resemblance to his namesake on The Walking Dead. A little shy and awkward at first? Check. Determined to love his people wholeheartedly and become braver every day? Double check. Eugene has quickly come out of his shell in our care, says his foster mom. He is a calm, curious and sweet boy who likes to rub on me, get pets and purr! Eugene also enjoys playing with ball towers and hiding in a cat tunnel with his littermates, but nothing tops quality time with his humans. I feel that as he gains more confidence, he will get even more playful, but for now he is content with a lap and chin scratches. Is your home where Eugene of The Walking Dead litter will really come to life? - Buzz.

Story
Mabel has two loves in life: relaxing like a lady of luxury and swapping affection with her people. After all, not long ago she was part of a large outdoor colony, before showing her former caretakers and Whiskers volunteers that she was just too sweet not to have a chance at indoor life. She likes being around people and is very lovey when she wants to be, according to her foster mom. But her very favorite thing about Mabel? That shes quite the conversationalist. I like how she talks all the time. She talks back to me whenever I ask her something. Mabel is also the queen of cat naps and seems to enjoy quiet surroundings, so a laidback household would be a purr-fect fit. Her foster mom suspects that Mabel would prefer to be the only cat as well, in order to have her peoples undivided attention whether for a heart-to-heart or snuggle fest. Can Mabel have a word with you next? - Buzz.

Good with cats,
Story
There are cats that immediately warm up to anyone, anywhere. And then there are cats like Jake. You have to earn his trust, says his foster mom. But once you do boy, oh boy. He has so much love to give. After all, Jake came from a large outdoor colony where he didnt get much socialization. But just like his namesake on Blues Brothers, he was ready to hit the road to a better life. His foster mom used Churu, head pets and scratches behind the ears to quickly win him over, and she encourages potential adopters to remember the 3-3-3 rule: It takes three days to decompress, three weeks to learn a routine, and three months for a dog or cat to feel at home. And once Jake does? Hell charm his future family with his cute antics while batting at stuffed mice or little balls, and his shy but cuddly ways. Were on a mission from God to find Jake the home he so deserves. - Buzz.

Story
On a bleak day back in January, Jersey found himself on the side of the road, unable to walk and lying among dirty chunks of snow. Thank goodness a kind passerby found him, too, and made the decision to pull over to get Jersey the help he needed. It was obvious that this boy was pretty beat up, recalls his foster dad. When initial X-rays showed serious fractures to his left rear leg as well as his pelvis, Whiskers TNR turned to Critter Crusaders of Cedar Rapids, who took on Jerseys care through Iowa State Universitys Hixson-Lied Small Animal Hospital. Jersey needed extensive surgery to get everything repaired, but he is all healed up now and ready to find his forever home. Hes an all-around great cat who can bat at balls in a circle track for hours, gets along with other felines as well as pooches, and has been the absolute sweetest boy from the very beginning. Through everything that he has been through, his sweet demeanor has always shone through. He has never gotten snippy, even when in a considerable amount of pain. Will Jerseys long road to recovery lead to the home of his dreams with you? - Buzz.
