Story
Hi, I’m Dahlia! 🌸 My journey didn’t start out easy. I was found all alone without a mama to care for me. When I first joined the APL family, I was malnourished, dehydrated, and in need of fluids and a special diet to help me gain weight and get the nutrition my little body desperately needed. Thanks to lots of love and care, I’ve grown into a happy, healthy kitten who’s ready to find my forever family! If you’re looking for an adorable kitten who’s equal parts cuddly, curious, and playful, I think we should meet! One of my favorite places to be is perched right on your shoulder. Yep, I’m the kind of girl who likes to be part of whatever you’re doing! When I’m not giving shoulder snuggles, you’ll probably find me rubbing against your legs, curled up in your lap, or watching the world go by from a sunny window. I absolutely love to play! Whether it’s chasing toys, enjoying a tasty treat, or wrestling with my kitty friends, I’m always ready for some fun. And when playtime is over? I’m more than happy to curl up with my feline pals for a cozy nap. I’m a social butterfly and love meeting new people. If you stop by, there’s a good chance I’ll be the first one to come say hello and ask for pets. I get along wonderfully with other cats, dogs of all sizes, and kids, so I’d fit into just about any loving home. While I’d be happy soaking up all of your love, I’d also really appreciate having another kind, playful kitty friend to romp around with and snuggle up beside when the day is done. Having a feline buddy would make my heart so happy! I don’t have any special needs anymore—just a family who will appreciate all the purrs, cuddles, shoulder rides, and love I have to give. I’ve overcome a tough start in life, and now I’m ready for my happiest chapter yet. Could that chapter be with you? 💗 Dahlia is microchipped, up to date on age appropriate vaccines and will be adopted with a spay agreement (because she’s still an itty bitty thing). Story
Hi, I`m Oliver, and I`ve never really understood why anyone would wait for an invitation to ask for attention. If I want pets, I`ll simply come let you know. It`s a system that has worked out very well for me.I came to the shelter because my owner was dealing with health issues and could no longer care for me. It was a difficult goodbye, but one thing hasn`t changed through all of it: I still love people just as much as I always have.I`ve never really found a reason not to make friends. People, cats, dogs, all friends. When I`m not making my rounds collecting affection, you`ll usually find me perched at the very top of a cat tree. For a cat my size, people seem genuinely shocked that I can get up there as gracefully as I do. I don`t know why everyone acts so surprised. I have this climbing thing completely under control.I`m the kind of cat who makes himself part of the family without even trying. I`ll remind you when it`s time for pets, quietly keep you company while you go about your day, and happily greet anyone who walks through the door like they`re an old friend.Life has changed a lot for me recently, but I`m ready for another home where I can settle back into what I do best: loving my people, supervising the neighborhood from my window, and reminding everyone that affection should never have to wait for a special occasion. If you`re looking for an easygoing, social cat who believes every stranger is just a friend he hasn`t met yet, I think we`d make a pretty great team

Story
Hi, I`m Zorah, and if I could spend every minute curled up with my favorite person, I absolutely would. I`m the kind of cat who believes laps were invented for napping, shoulders were made for riding, and arms are simply another place to cuddle. Being close to the people I love is where I feel safest and happiest.I`m not needy because I expect something from you. I just genuinely love being together. A quiet evening on the couch, following you from room to room, or resting my head against you while you read or watch TV... that`s my idea of a perfect day.I`ve shared my home with other cats before and have always enjoyed having feline friends around. Here at the shelter, though, everything is busy and unfamiliar, so I tend to be a little quieter. Once life slows down and I know I`m safe, my affectionate personality really begins to bloom.I think my perfect home would be one where things are peaceful, where someone enjoys a constant companion, and where love is given freely. I promise I`ll return every bit of it, probably while sitting directly on your lap.If your heart has room for a cat who wants to make you feel loved every single day, I have a feeling we`re going to get along just fine

Story
Hi, I`m Willy, and if my folded-over ear has already caught your attention, I should probably tell you not to worry. It`s from an old injury, it doesn`t hurt, and it adds a little character. For years, I had a home and a person. Then one day, my owner became very sick and had to go to the hospital. Suddenly the house was quiet. A kind neighbor came every single day to feed me and spend time with me, and I`ll always be grateful for that. But when you`re used to sharing your life with one person, two months is a long time to wonder when they`re coming back.Eventually, it became clear that I needed a new beginning, and that`s how I ended up here. I`m still learning that this chapter isn`t something to be afraid of.You can probably see it when you meet me. I watch people with curious eyes, like I really want to come over, but my feet aren`t quite as brave as my heart yet. I think I`ve just forgotten that it`s okay to trust someone new.The people here discovered something pretty special about me, though. If you take your time and let me come around, I`ll eventually roll onto my side and let you rub my belly. Not because every cat likes belly rubs. It`s almost like all my worries disappear for a little while, and I remember what it feels like to simply enjoy being loved.I don`t need much anymore. I`m a senior, after all. I`m happiest in quiet places, with gentle people who understand that some friendships aren`t instant. They grow slowly, one soft pet, one little purr, one tiny moment of trust at a time.I may take a little time to settle in, but I have a feeling that once I do, you`ll wonder how your home ever felt complete without me quietly keeping you company.
