Benito didn’t come from a fancy background. He came from the streets, and he carries that experience with him like a badge of honor. He’s a little rough around the edges, a little spicy when he needs to be, and 100% convinced he’s seen things you wouldn’t understand. But underneath that tough-guy exterior is a cat who actually loves to play, cuddle, and hang out with his people.Think of Benito as the guy who acts tough but secretly wants a warm couch and someone to scratch his chin while he pretends he doesn’t enjoy it (he absolutely does).Benito is also FIV positive, which sounds scarier than it is. FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus) simply affects a cat’s immune system, but many FIV+ cats live long, happy, normal lives with regular vet care and a safe indoor home. It’s mainly spread through deep bite wounds between cats, not through sharing food bowls, toys, or casual hangouts.Because of this, Benito would have to be the only cat in the house or with another FIV positive cat who speaks his language. Benito wants a cozy place to retire from street life and a human who understands that a little sass is part of the charm.If you’ve got a soft spot for cats with personality and a little swagger, Benito might just be your guy.
