Hi, I`m Mimi, and if you sit down, there`s a pretty good chance I`ll be joining you.I wasn`t always an indoor cat. A family found me outside when I was just a kitten and decided I deserved a better life. They brought me home, spoiled me with love, and somewhere along the way I became very good at being somebody`s companion. That`s kind of my specialty.I was recently returned because my family was dealing with medical issues, so now I`m looking for another place to call home. It`s a big change, especially for a girl who`s used to quiet days and familiar faces.The shelter is a little louder than I`d choose for myself. I tend to hang back while all the excitement happens around me, but if you spend a few minutes with me, you`ll quickly discover that I`m not shy because I don`t like people. I`m shy because I like peace.Once things settle down, I`m all about the pets. I love being brushed, scratched, and fussed over. I`ll happily keep you company while you read, watch TV, or stare out the window with me pretending we`re both very invested in what the squirrels are doing.I still have a playful side too. I love scratching posts, enjoy chasing toys, and I`ve even lived happily with dogs. I just don`t feel the need to make every moment an adventure.Some cats are the life of the party. Hi, I`m Willy, and if my folded-over ear has already caught your attention, I should probably tell you not to worry. It`s from an old injury, it doesn`t hurt, and it adds a little character.For years, I had a home and a person. Then one day, my owner became very sick and had to go to the hospital. Suddenly the house was quiet. A kind neighbor came every single day to feed me and spend time with me, and I`ll always be grateful for that. But when you`re used to sharing your life with one person, two months is a long time to wonder when they`re coming back.Eventually, it became clear that I needed a new beginning, and that`s how I ended up here. I`m still learning that this chapter isn`t something to be afraid of.You can probably see it when you meet me. I watch people with curious eyes, like I really want to come over, but my feet aren`t quite as brave as my heart yet. Hi, I`m Oliver, and I`ve never really understood why anyone would wait for an invitation to ask for attention.If I want pets, I`ll simply come let you know. It`s a system that has worked out very well for me.I came to the shelter because my owner was dealing with health issues and could no longer care for me. It was a difficult goodbye, but one thing hasn`t changed through all of it: I still love people just as much as I always have.I`ve never really found a reason not to make friends. People, cats, dogs, all friends.When I`m not making my rounds collecting affection, you`ll usually find me perched at the very top of a cat tree. For a cat my size, people seem genuinely shocked that I can get up there as gracefully as I do. I don`t know why everyone acts so surprised. I have this climbing thing completely under control.I`m the kind of cat who makes himself part of the family without even trying.
