Story
Gracie is an 8 year old cat who lived with her previous owner since she was a kitten. Her owner died last month and there was no one who could take her so I volunteered to keep her until I could find a good home for her. She is loving and loves to sit in a lap. She is not good with other animals. She probably wouldn't be good with young children. She weighs about 7 lbs. and she is so beautiful. She needs someone to take her and love her and give her a furrever home. She is not declawed and I would ask that any prospective owner would agree to not having her declawed. She is healthy and active.

Story
This is O’Malley. He is just over 2 years old. He enjoys sitting on all things that he very clearly does not fit on. He is your typical orange kitty. Likes to cuddle, but on his own terms. For the most part, he is a lover. Being only two years old he can be a bit rowdy from time to time but it’s mostly entertainment.

Story
I'm Moxi, a 7 year old sweetie with a little extra weight on me. Although I'm quite timid at first, once I warm up and feel comfortable in my surroundings - I love to cuddle! I may need to dial it back on the treats, but my personality makes all the difference. I like other cats as well as dogs, as long as I have time to adjust.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Kate was adopted from us in 2015 when she was just a few years old, but unfortunately her owners moved out of state and into a new living situation that prohibits pets. So Kate came back to Safe Haven last year as a senior cat now, and we readied her for adoption - which included having a much needed "kittie dental" appointment that found her to need all her teeth pulled. However she has totally recovered from that appointment, and Kate's oral health is much better now and she is back to eating her senior kibble food just fine!  At her vet appointment it was also discovered that Kate now has a heart murmur, so she is on daily oral medication to help her heart function properly. Luckily this medication is a common human medication (Atenolol) that is very inexpensive, so this shouldn't slow down her adoptability one bit!   Since Kate is now a senior girl, she is looking for a quality senior cat home (ie quiet, peaceful, and plenty of relaxing views out windows) and it seems like Kate may be happiest if she was the only kitty in her new home. Since she is currently our oldest resident, she holds a special place in many hearts - so much so that one of our volunteers has sponsored her adoption fee! So all Kate needs now is for a potential adopter to open up their home and heart to let Kate in! Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.May 1, 2024, 4:35 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Hermione was adopted as a kitten in '21 and had a happy home until her owner had health problems and needed to return her.  She has grown into a gorgeous cat, that is affectionate and seeks attention from almost every person that enters her room. If she doesn't come running up for attention, she may be having a day where she sometimes prefers to be quiet and looks like she is deep in thought - we just think she is dreaming of her forever home! These are the moments that we have found it's better to let her come to you, because she doesn't usually love to be pet when she is trying to nap. Most volunteers get to know the fun, loving side of Hermione - the one that shows she is quite the spunky, sweet girl!  Hermione definitely does have boundaries though, such as not enjoying her hindquarters being touched, and can also be a handful at vet appointments. Since she can be a bit unpredictable to over-handling or to someone not paying attention to her body language, we feel she would prefer a quieter home without young kids. However a family with a school aged kiddo that is fairly cat savvy would enjoy her playful side, and like most cats she will lose it over a wand toy! Hermione is moderately active, but also enjoys lots of naps throughout the day. She has experience living with a small dog, but would likely prefer to remain the only cat.  We just know the perfect family is out there for Hermione - and the last bit of great news is that her adoption fee has been sponsored, so all she needs now is someone to give her that chance to be the great cat that her previous owner knows her to be! Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.May 1, 2024, 4:35 pm
