Story
During the entire month of August, we will be having a Clear the Shelters event. This means half-price adoptions! Cats will be $50 and Dogs will be $75. Hushpuppy is a male Domestic Shorthair adult kitty. Some cats ask for the spotlight. Hushpuppy would rather share it.He may be a little shy at first, but behind those gentle eyes is one of the biggest hearts we've ever seen. Hushpuppy has taken on the role of surrogate dad to our tiniest kittens, happily curling up with them, keeping them warm, and offering them comfort whenever they need it. Watching him snuggled up with babies who aren't even his is enough to melt anyone's heart. Now it's Hushpuppy's turn to be cared for. He's looking for a patient family who will give him the time to blossom and the love he's so freely given to others. We know that once he feels safe, he'll become the quiet, loyal companion you've always hoped for. After spending so much of his time comforting little ones, we think it's time someone showed Hushpuppy just how loved he is. Could that someone be you?He is described as a 'Secret Admirer'. When it comes to relationships, I'm very level-headed. I don't leap in paws first, if you know what I mean. But give me a little time, and then I'll shower you with purrs, head-butts, and plenty of lap time. In the meantime, you may not see a lot of me, but I'll be thinking a lot of you! It is recommended that whenever you add a new animal to your household, it is done with a slow and monitored introduction.Adoption fees:Cats - $105 for one or only $150 for two!Dogs - $155For more information on this animal contact washingtonpawsandmore1978@gmail.comor call 319-653-6713All our animals have been spayed/neutered (or will be arranged if currently too young).Dogs will be tested for heart worms, vaccinated against distemper/parvo and rabies. We recommend crate training until you’re confident that your dog is used to his/her new home.
