Guppy is a tough guy with a soft side... and lots of extra toes! Guppy is a fairly independent 3 year old male, a tomcat stray learning to live a quieter life inside now that he's made his way to the shelter. Guppy came to us with wounds on his ears, likely from scratching himself excessively due to a severe ear mite infection which has since been taken care of. He is quite sweet and gentle but does have a spunkier side. He will occasionally swat or even nibble at hands if they move quickly near him or attempt to take something from him. He is not particularly adventurous, preferring to lounge in his space even when free roam is offered to him. Guppy would love to go home with someone interested in taming the little bit left of his wild side and getting a loyal and loving young boy in return.

Buddy is a beautiful baby that came to my parents shed in May. He was very scared and timid at first and has learned to trust us. He loves to eat, pets and toys. Sydney is a sweet and relaxed young orange female who was found stray in an area with many other wandering cats. She had some unexplained scrapes and bumps that bothered her for a week or so, but have healed well and now no longer slow her down. She enjoys laying about from a high vantage point to watch the goings-on in whatever room she is in and loves to explore as well.

Cyrus was found by a couple of good Samaritans in the middle of the road, lethargic and seemingly not interested in running from them. Fearing for his safety they took him in for the night and brought him to the shelter the following morning, by which time he had made significant improvement from his state the night before. After multiple physical examinations, it was found that his left two canine teeth are missing which was likely caused by some sort of head trauma, explaining his lethargy the night before. We could not confirm that he was hit by a car as he did not have further injuries consistent with that, but may have been thrown from one. He is now learning to trust people and warming up to his new environment where he can now grow into a happy, healthy, and playful kitten.

Veronica is our incredibly adorable and resilient young tortie girl who made it through a very harrowing incident so early on in her life. She was brought to us after very recently having been struck by a vehicle. She was still in shock and we weren't sure the extent of the damage, but after she settled and was taken to the vet her x-rays showed only a small fracture on her chin, small enough to likely heal on its own. After only a couple weeks of rest and soft food diet, she is back on her feet and just as hearty and playful as any other kittens her age!

Chili is one of a larger litter of four 'spicy' kittens who came to us at the shelter as "semi-ferals", kittens who were not reared by humans and thus not very trusting, but still young enough to have not developed completely wild instincts just yet. Though it's taken some time to ease them into the idea of human affection, they are finally starting to come around, and while Chili in particular needs some extra TLC, he is ready to meet strangers and learn that we're here to help and care for him, not harm. Chili may shy away from pets and attention, but he is not aggressive and will accept gentle pets. The more positive contact he has with people, the more he'll understand he is safe with us and his eventual forever companion.
