Story
Darius was brought to us by his owner's brother after they had passed away. He is a quiet and reserved senior cat, at least 10 years old, though likely even older. He seems to be mostly blind in his right eye, but still has vision in his left. He's missing quite a few teeth and has seen better days, but is still very gentle and calm. Darius is quite timid and spends most of his time cuddled up in a place he feels safe. He is still somewhat stressed and confused about life at the shelter and could use someone to spend lots of 1 on 1 time with him in his new home so he can learn that he is safe and secure.

Story
Jadis is a 5 year old black and white girl with a big personality. Her favorite past-time here at the shelter has been laying around upside down and lounging about most of the day. She is affectionate and greatly appreciates head pats, chin rubs, and cheek scratches, but can be a bit testy about being picked up and held. her left ear is a bit crinkled, we believe from an old abscess that has since healed and is no longer in need of medical attention. If you have lots of cozy, warm spots in your home, Jadis would love to come lounge around with you!

Story
Smoke is a large and in charge 8 year old male who initially may appear shy, but is actually quite outgoing and friendly when approached. He came to the shelter with his brother Harley when their previous owner could no longer care for them. While not necessary, it may be very beneficial to Harley to also be adopted alongside Smoke as he may be able to help him out of his shell. Smoke would love to come home with anyone looking for a laid-back and extra friendly guy.

Story
Meet Michael Michael is a handsome, independent gentleman with a discerning heart. He’s very particular about his people and tends to bond most closely with women, choosing his favorites carefully and loving them deeply. While he has a truly sweet and affectionate side, he doesn’t show it to just anyone — you have to earn the privilege of seeing his softer side. Michael prefers a calm environment where he can feel safe and in control. When he’s startled or unsure, he’ll retreat to a cozy hiding spot until he feels comfortable again. If he’s especially scared or around someone he doesn’t trust, he will hiss and growl — it’s simply his way of setting boundaries and asking for space. Because of his independent nature and preference for observing before engaging, he may thrive as a barn cat, where he can have space, purpose, and companionship on his own terms. With patience, understanding, and respect for his boundaries, Michael’s loyal and loving personality truly shines. For the right person, he’s not just a cat — he’s a devoted companion who chooses you back.
