Slurms MacKenzie came to us as a stray, but thanks to a kind foster person, we now know so much more about this handsome young man! He likes to take things at his own pace when it comes to getting to know you, and he appreciates a very Zen household with plenty of hidey holes for him to relax in. Give him some time to settle in, entice him with treats, and you may get to see a rare zoomie or two from this fetching guy. He`s also got a keen sense of curiosity, so make sure that your trash bins are secure against his inquisitive nature. We also know that this quiet dude is FIV+, which means that his immune system is more susceptible to things that another cat would brush off, and will require biannual wellness checkups. His outdoor excursions are also at an end, but with enough gentle attention, tempting meals, and warm napping spots, we`re sure that he`ll be content with this change in his life. He`d also thrive best as your one and only cat; he`s just too commanding to share the spotlight!Does your home lack the mindful serenity that Slurms could bring into it? Photos could never do this young girl any justice! You can`t feel how soft she is or see just how gorgeous she is without meeting her! And that tail! Again, the photos will never do her any justice. Ruby came to us with her brother housemate, Chiller, who was recently adopted. Now it`s Ruby`s turn. Unfortunately, her history is a mystery. We don`t know anything about her and children or dogs. What we do know is she is beautiful, soft and really sweet. She loves to roll around on the floor when you sit with her and will crawl into your lap. Her purrs are divine and she`s just an all around sweetheart. Sweet little Mandy was brought to CUHA by a good Samaritan when she was found laying by the road, injured. She was eventually transferred to the shelter, where are medical and animal care team, as well as her foster family, took such amazing care of her. She did end up having to have her leg and tail amputated and she had some work done on her mouth. We`re happy to report that she`s good as new and ready for her furever home! Darius was brought to us by his owner's brother after they had passed away. He is a quiet and reserved senior cat, at least 10 years old, though likely even older. He seems to be mostly blind in his right eye, but still has vision in his left. He's missing quite a few teeth and has seen better days, but is still very gentle and calm. Darius is quite timid and spends most of his time cuddled up in a place he feels safe. He is still somewhat stressed and confused about life at the shelter and could use someone to spend lots of 1 on 1 time with him in his new home so he can learn that he is safe and secure.
