Story
Rose. Sophia. Dorothy. Blanche. Milchreis. Golden girls, through and through. Just like these feel good divas from the sitcom, Milchreis has a lot of life experience under the collar, but also a lot of love to share. She`s spunky and loves to show off her cunning prowess and experience when it comes to catching that tricky little orange jingly ball! Curious by nature, be ready for her to be your buff little shadow while you`re walking through the kitchen, hallways, or getting ready to face the day. We`ve noticed that she doesn`t seem to enjoy sharing the limelight with any other kitties here, though, so she might truly prefer to be your one and only at home. If you`re ready to meet this tiny powerhouse of purrs and leg rubs, come on over to the Adoptions Center during our walk-in hours of 12pm - 4:30pm Wednesday-Sundays (Thursday extended hours to 6:30pm).You can also reach our adoptions team:by email: adoptions@spcaonline.comby phone (during open hours): 607-257-1822 x221

Story
Slurms MacKenzie came to us as a stray, but thanks to a kind foster person, we now know so much more about this handsome young man! He likes to take things at his own pace when it comes to getting to know you, and he appreciates a very Zen household with plenty of hidey holes for him to relax in. Give him some time to settle in, entice him with treats, and you may get to see a rare zoomie or two from this fetching guy. He`s also got a keen sense of curiosity, so make sure that your trash bins are secure against his inquisitive nature. We also know that this quiet dude is FIV+, which means that his immune system is more susceptible to things that another cat would brush off, and will require biannual wellness checkups. His outdoor excursions are also at an end, but with enough gentle attention, tempting meals, and warm napping spots, we`re sure that he`ll be content with this change in his life. Does your home lack the mindful serenity that Slurms could bring into it? Come on over to the adoption center Wednesday-Sunday 12-4:30 (Thursday 12-6:30) and meet the dude himself. He`ll be waiting! You can also reach our adoptions team:by email: adoptions@spcaonline.comby phone (during open hours): 607-257-1822 x221

Story
Are you curious about Jackson? He`s looking for a quiet, laidback home where he can hurkle durkle the day away in his comfy bed, or maybe keep a quiet eye on you while you work. He definitely appreciates a slower introduction that allows him to control the pace of things, so if you`ve a like mindset of `slow and steady wins the race`, why not come and meet him at our adoption center Wednesday–Sunday: 12:00–4:30 PM (Thursday: 12:00–6:30 PM)You can also reach our adoptions team:by email: adoptions@spcaonline.comby phone (during open hours): 607-257-1822 x221

Story
Check out this sweet letter he wrote (with the help of his foster, mom). If you’d like to make Tagalong part of your family, let our adoptions team know at adoptions@spcaonline.com and they’ll put you in touch with his foster!Hi! My name is Tagalong. I’m 7 months old and I was born blind. I have a complicated history, but I’m doing so much better with my foster mom. Here’s a little more about me:-My absolute favorite activity is cuddling. I’m getting better at making biscuits.-I’ve been told I sound like a frog, a bird, and a dinosaur. -I am really good at entertaining myself. Play-fighting with toys and blankets is my second favorite activity! -My dream home will be calm and quiet and one where I’m an only child. I might like siblings in my future, though!-I can map the layout of rooms and remember them almost perfectly, but sometimes I bump my head. Maybe that’s why my foster mom calls me hard-headed.-I am 100% potty trained! I’ve had zero accidents since moving in with my foster mom. -Apparently I am “easy to medicate” but all I know is that I love Churu so much I just lick the powder right off the top and keep licking. -I don’t like to be picked up, but I can jump like a pro so just let me know where you want me. -I can get startled pretty easily, but my foster mom tells me I’m getting braver every day. -You will never be lonely with me around because I love following my foster mom everywhere! (even the place she calls the bathroom) In the past, I lived in a loud house with a lot of siblings. My emotional needs weren’t getting met, so I had to resort to extreme measures (aka urinating outside my litterbox). Things didn’t go how I wanted them to, but it all turned out for the better. My foster mom wants me to really emphasize I now pee in the litterbox every time and that I’m growing more confident by the day. She told me earlier today that she wouldn’t even know I was blind if I didn’t keep running head-first into everything but it’s really only *some* things. I hope we can meet in the future! Tagalong

Story
This is one little dust cloud that won`t be swept away! Say hello to our Dust Bunny, our residential tabby queen. She may be hiding behind the curtains of her hidey-hole when you come in, but she`s grown comfortable enough around us to hop on out with an inquisitive chirp! She prefers to eat her meals with you, but she`ll pause to give you a quick little headbutt and purr of approval before going back to it. She was surrendered to us with her sister, but our Adoptions counselors would still love to have a chat with you about slow introductions to other animals or kids in the home. Swing by the shelter to meet her at our adoption center Wednesday-Sunday: 12:00-4:30 PM (Thursday: 12:00-6:30 PM)You can also reach our adoptions team:by email: adoptions@spcaonline.comby phone (during open hours): 607-257-1822 x221
