Story
Slurms MacKenzie came to us as a stray, but thanks to a kind foster person, we now know so much more about this handsome young man! He likes to take things at his own pace when it comes to getting to know you, and he appreciates a very Zen household with plenty of hidey holes for him to relax in. Give him some time to settle in, entice him with treats, and you may get to see a rare zoomie or two from this fetching guy. He`s also got a keen sense of curiosity, so make sure that your trash bins are secure against his inquisitive nature. We also know that this quiet dude is FIV+, which means that his immune system is more susceptible to things that another cat would brush off, and will require biannual wellness checkups. His outdoor excursions are also at an end, but with enough gentle attention, tempting meals, and warm napping spots, we`re sure that he`ll be content with this change in his life. Does your home lack the mindful serenity that Slurms could bring into it? Come on over to the adoption center Wednesday-Sunday 12-4:30 (Thursday 12-6:30) and meet the dude himself. He`ll be waiting! You can also reach our adoptions team:by email: adoptions@spcaonline.comby phone (during open hours): 607-257-1822 x221

Story
Hi there, my name is Oscar! I am a shy, 8 year old lover boy! It might take me a while to warm up to you, but when I do I`ll get on your lap and you`ll be smitten! Once I know you`re safe, I`ll come out when you talk to me. Soon enough, I`ll be living up to my name and charming you with my big yellow eyes. I`m a big, long cat (but not overweight) so if you`ve always dreamed of having a small leopard in your home, come and meet me! I`m hoping to find a home where people understand me; I like the quiet life and will keep you company while you read, crochet, or watch TV. I`m not really a party guy, so if that`s what you`re into, ask the staff to direct you to someone with a wild side. You can visit me at the Shelter Wed-Sun 12-4:30 (Thursdays 12-6:30) 607-257-1822 x221 adoptions@spcaonline.com

Story
Meet Chance! This young man does not know a stranger! He`s been a staff favorite for a couple months while him and his housemates waited so patiently to be cleared for adoption. Ultimately, they ended up being surrendered for adoption and are now ready to meet their furever family(ies). Chance has a unique face shape and is quite the stunner. He has lived with cats and dogs and has done well with all of them, and like we said, he does not know a stranger. He`d likely do well in a home with kiddos of all ages. He loves wands toys, laser toys and is very food motivated. He doesn`t need to be adopted with his brother, Vic, but man! If you adopted them together, you`re in for a treat! They love to romp and play with each other, but he`s also quite looking out the window and watching the world go by or lounging on a cozy bed. Chance is the whole package, so if you`d like to meet him and/or his brother Vic, stop by the adoption center Wednesday-Sunday 12-4:30 (Thursday 12-6:30) to bring this gem of a feline home with you!You can also reach our adoptions team:by email: adoptions@spcaonline.comby phone (during open hours): 607-257-1822 x221

Story
This young man came was adopted with his housemate, Minniest and recently returned through no fault of his own. Understandably, he is a little nervous about his current environment, but he is getting really brave and coming out for pets and scritches from staff and volunteers. He has lived with other cats and dogs before. He did well with the other cats, but was not a fan of the dogs in the home. Kids are an unknown, but he might appreciate an older kiddo who understands and respects his boundaries. He isn`t a fan of being picked up, but does love to be pet and get scritches. If you`d like come meet Thomas and see if he`s a match for your family, stop by the adoption center Wednesday-Sunday 12-4:30 (Thursday 12-6:30).You can also reach our adoptions team:by email: adoptions@spcaonline.comby phone (during open hours): 607-257-1822 x221

Story
Meet Finley! Finley is a gentle, sensitive soul who blossoms once he feels safe. When he first arrived in his foster home, he was understandably shy and searched for quiet places to tuck himself away. With a little patience and a calm environment, he quickly showed his true colors. Now that he’s settled in, Finley loves being petted and enjoys calm companionship with his people. He doesn’t ask for much — just a peaceful home, a cozy spot to relax, and someone who understands that trust grows best in a quiet space.Finley would do wonderfully in a low-key household where he can continue to build confidence at his own pace. If you’re looking for a sweet, affectionate companion who will reward your kindness with soft purrs and gentle love, Finley might be your perfect match. Reach out to us today about getting in touch with Finley in foster during our open hours Wed - Sundays 12pm - 4:30pm (6:30pm Thursdays)! You can also reach our adoptions team:by email: adoptions@spcaonline.comby phone (during open hours): 607-257-1822 x221
