Story
When senior Kodi’s owners moved and couldn’t take him with them, Kodi was fortunate to find safety in our care once again. Time with our vets revealed this gracious lap cat had a health crisis brewing, but thanks to their diligence, support for his diabetes is easily handled through a special diet and medication—no insulin shots required! Kodi’s medical care is covered at cost through out Pet Health Centers. In such a short time, we’re already marveling at his health progress. His determination to find a purrmanent lap to claim as his own is quite possibly all you’ll need to fall in love with your new best friend. We know that’s all it took for us! ##2590768##

Story
Birthdate: 9/23/2025Breed: One of a kindThere's just something about this perfect little woodland creature that leaves us breathless.  Feathered and fluffed like a little bird, her soft tabby coat has beautiful blazes of coral and rose.  Named MIEP by her rescuer to honor a righteous soul who safeguarded Anne Frank and her family during WWII, her eyes are proud and sincere and her gaze is purposeful.  She's adorably chatty and Miep actually does "meep"!  But it's when she comes into your arms, purring steadily, that you feel a real sense of serenity and comfort.  We love when she prods us with a paw, hoping for some quality time and we've actually had legit conversations in cat-speak.  Found in a schoolyard, this little girl feels like an old soul who knows all about life and love.    The Rescue is open 7 days a week for you to come and meet our pets! Walk-ins are welcome! In order to interact with them, you’ll need a simple questionnaire filled out. You can fill this out at the Rescue or before you come in at: https://petstablished.com/adoption_form/36923/generic If you have any questions, please email us at adoptions@pawscrossedny.org for more information. Please understand that we cannot hold pets for any reason. All adoptions are done on a first come, first adopt basis for pre-approved applicants.January 22, 2026, 1:01 am

Story
Birthdate: 1/4/2023Breed: One of a kindOh if these crystalline blue eyes could only talk!!  Perhaps we'll never know what our TOBY has seen before rescue by friends in the Bronx, but it's hard not to be immediately smitten.  It's a good bet that life on the streets didn't hold the promise of consistent meals, so he is always eager to eat.  Even moreso, he's been starved for loving touch and kindness and will rub and mark you with the softest of cheeks, sweetly desperate to connect.  A beautiful flame point softy, it's been our privilege to offer him comfort and the promise of love and safety and we can't wait to see him find his family.  Curling into our arms, content to be special to someone, his name is said to mean "God is good"; come meet one of His angels.   The Rescue is open 7 days a week for you to come and meet our pets! Story
Birthdate: 9/25/2025Breed: One of a kindIn the frigid cold of winter, love is in BLOOM!  Our little tuxie baby has a way of warming more than your heart, all the while feigning an adorable kind of innocence.  "Who me?  Breaking hearts?".  You betcha!  Dramatic eyes that read both green and then gold, she is always ready for her closeup!  A proper full bib and dainty matching socks, she fits perfectly in the crook of your arm where she rests like a lady, with paws properly crossed.  One little butt scratch gets her flirty and fun and she'll never shy away from play time.  If Bloom was a flower she'd be a perennial, who would love you time and again, forever.    The Rescue is open 7 days a week for you to come and meet our pets! Story
What my friends at ACC say about me:My history is a mystery and my friends here do not know much about me yet!I love getting pets and - you guessed it - snuggles! My purr motor is always running!Lunar Eclipse is laying on top of his den, observing the assessor with wide eyes as they approach. When the kennel door is opened and he is called to, he comes down from the top of the den, stretching and greeting the assessor at the front of the kennel with a head bunt. He allows and leans into all petting and is able to be easily picked up, remaining calm and purring as he is held. When he is placed back into his kennel, Lunar Eclipse remains at the front of the kennel, continuing to purr, head bunt, and lean into all petting.Lunar Eclipse interacts with the assessor, solicits attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. This cat is suitable for any level of adopter experience. Primary Color: Black Secondary Color: White Weight: 7.2 Age: 1yrs 0mths 0wks
