Story
It doesn't get better than Quill! Named for her resemblance to a hedgehog when she was found, this girl isn't even a little bit prickly. She loves you from the moment she looks at you, rolling over, purring, and making biscuits in the air. Quill is easygoing, entertaining, and loves to sleep on her foster at night. She looks at the world like everything is *just the most exciting, fascinating thing* yet she's also remarkably calm and well adjusted for a kitten. Quill was found in Crown Heights crying behind an air conditioner until a kind neighbor took pity on her. She was brought inside, slept for 2 days (her little body must have been so exhausted), and then blossomed back into a loving and social kitten. Quill was born in early April. She will be spayed in July. She's up to date on vaccines, free of fleas and parasites, and negative for FIV and FeLV. She must be adopted with another kitten, or into a home with a young, friendly, playful resident cat. To adopt this angel, please fill out the form on our Website: https://brooklynanimalaction.org/adoption-forms/ Mention Quill as the cat, and Suse as the rescuer. June 29, 2026, 11:43 pm

Story
Orangino is an affectionate, playful, and social floof who can't wait to meet you! He also has the coolest markings! When we first met and held him, he introduced himself with purrs and immediate biscuits...and he's only gotten more loving since. His foster says "he's been perfect," telling us Orangino slept in bed with him from night one. He'll do best in a home where he can get a fair amount of playtime (like any kitten) and lots of love. He'll give it back in spades. Orangino came to us after his caretaker passed away. This boy got lucky that neighbors were looking out for him.  He was born in January 2026 and is neutered, vaccinated, free of fleas and parasites, and negative for FIV and FeLV. He must be adopted into a home with another kitten or young cat. We're happy to make a match! To apply to adopt, please fill our the form on our Website:  https://brooklynanimalaction.org/adoption-forms Mention Orangino as the cat, and Suse as the rescuer. June 29, 2026, 11:43 pm

Story
Meet Tessa! (Though her foster family affectionately calls her 'Tess Tess'!) At just 10 months old, this gorgeous tabby girl has a remarkable story. Tessa was originally found as part of a Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) project. But one look into her eyes said it all: 'I am meant for the indoor life!' Her foster parent took a chance on her, brought her inside to socialize, and boy, did that leap of faith pay off! Tessa has blossomed into an incredibly sweet, confident, and loving companion. She is truly so thankful to be an indoor kitty and shows her gratitude every single day. Here is what makes Tessa the perfect addition to your home:   * The Ultimate Shadow: She will happily follow you from room to room just to be near you. * Purr Motor & Cuddle Bug: She absolutely loves being held, petted, and will purr up a storm to show her appreciation. * Chatty Companion: Tessa is finding her voice and loves to have sweet, vocal conversations with her humans. * Playtime Expert: She is full of kitten energy and absolutely adores playing with all kinds of toys. * Cat-Friendly: She thoroughly enjoys the company of her foster kitty siblings and would do wonderful in a home with other pets.   Tessa is ready to be the brightest light in your home. She just needs someone to give her a chance—will you be the one to give her a forever home?        June 29, 2026, 7:37 pm

Story
Apply to adopt here: https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/ROSE/Cat Luna is a 1.5-year-old gentle observer- low-maintenance, soft-spoken, and slowly but surely learning that love is worth trusting. Her history before rescue is unknown, but whatever she experienced along the way shaped her into a cautious, gentle soul who takes her time before trusting. All of Luna’s skittish-but-loving siblings have already found their homes and are thriving, and now it’s her turn. Luna is curious, careful, and deeply observant. She’s skittish at first and may hiss if startled, but she has never swatted or bitten - she simply needs space and patience to feel safe. She may always be a bit skittish by nature, but that doesn’t stop her from enjoying love on her own terms. Her foster mom regularly goes and scoops her up for snuggle sessions, and Luna melts into them every time - purring and making biscuits the whole way through. She also tolerates grooming, nail trims, and is surprisingly easy to medicate, making her a low-maintenance cat despite her shy side. She’s a true cat’s cat: she is endlessly determined to make friends with every feline she meets and she’s also lived comfortably around large dogs. Luna truly feeds off the energy of those around her, whether feline or human, and she does best when she has a steady companion to mirror and draw confidence from. Because of this, a home with another cat already in it - or someone who can dedicate a lot of calm, consistent presence is strongly preferred for Luna. Litter box habits are impeccable, and she has never had an accident. 🐾 Health & Care: • Spayed • FeLV & FIV negative • FVRCP & rabies vaccinated • Microchipped • Current on dewormer & flea prevention Fostered in Houston, TX — transport available to the Pacific Northwest, the Northeast, and stops along the route. Transport costs are covered by the adoption fee. Your adoption fee saves two lives: it brings Luna home and funds spay/neuter surgeries, vaccines, and critical veterinary care for homeless cats and community cats in need. One fee. Two lives saved.
