Story
Hello! My mom of 5 years has to rehome me, I like treats, when mom cuddles me also when she does that cool arm stretches, I meow when I really need something or just want some affection. Sitting outside with my mom for hours watching birds was my favorite thing ever but since we moved to this new apartment I don’t sit outside on the porch anymore because we don’t have one just a window now that looks straight out to a parking lot, I have a pal through her name is panda she keeps me entertained and warm while we’re in a little tent my mom brought us, we really enjoyed high places, because of her I never spend my days alone. When I first meant her I was shy but now she licks me clean and we follow each other around like shadows. I hide when I’m in a new place but done worry I’ll find my way around. I don’t really hiss or scratch unless you’re scratching post! I’m just a really big orange cat that’s needs a New place!

Story
Meet this fabulous sweet cat who was so friendly on the street we simply couldn't look away. She is loving, easy and looks like a cute Bear. We adore her. She may have been a cat someone tnr'ed and either didn't realize what an angel she was or wasn't able to take her in. Luckily we did and we are so glad! She loves to be held, pet and cuddled. She is a wonderful girl ready for a great home.  Samantha is fiv-/felv-, up-to-date on vaccines, microchipped and spayed/neutered. If you would like to schedule a meet & greet, please go to our application here:  https://brooklynanimalaction.org/adoption-forms/ . Make sure you click on Samantha the Bear, then identify Claire as the RESCUER and fill out the form!   Thank you for thinking of a rescued angel. Every dime goes to saving the next homeless angel on the street. February 21, 2026, 12:25 am

Story
Birthdate:  02/14/2021Breed: One of a kindMELVIN may have had a bit of a rough start, but you’d never know it from his sweet personality! This handsome boy was found by a good samaritan and brought to one of our partner vets with a wound on his neck. After getting all patched up and pampered, he made his way to us and is healing like a champ. Whatever adventures led him here are a mystery, but Melvin has clearly decided they’re in the past. His current mission in life? Love. Lots and lots of love. He’s the ultimate sidekick and will happily follow you from room to room just to make sure you never alone. The only thing powerful enough to interrupt cuddle time is… string toys! Play hard, cuddle harder — that’s Melvin’s motto. If you’re looking for a loyal little shadow with a big heart and a playful streak, Melvin is ready to be your happily-ever-after. The Rescue is open 7 days a week for you to come and meet our pets! Walk-ins are welcome! In order to interact with them, you’ll need a simple questionnaire filled out. You can fill this out at the Rescue or before you come in at: https://www.pawscrossedny.org/cat-adoption-questionnaire. If you have any questions, please email us at adoptions@pawscrossedny.org for more information. Please understand that we cannot hold pets for any reason. All adoptions are done on a first come, first adopt basis for pre-approved applicants. February 21, 2026, 12:51 am
