Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Honeybee is a very sweet girl who was rescued from living on the street by a Good Samaritan. She is dog friendly and likes to play, and very used to being around large dogs. She is FIV+. FIV is typically transmitted through deep bite wounds and mating (she is now spayed). She currently has no health issues relating to this diagnosis. She is approximately 2 years old and has a $100 adoption fee -- her adoption fee is partially sponsored, and is now just $50. All cats adopted through our rescue are vaccinated, combo tested (negative unless otherwise noted), microchipped and spayed/neutered before adoptions are finalized. If you would like to adopt, please fill out the application through the link or the website at -www.whiskersofohio.org - please note that the "I'm interested" tab does NOT act as an application, this should only be used for specific questions before committing to an adoption. Please only apply for a specific kitten if you are committed to adopting! We make no breed guarantees, we are a rescue, not a breeder. Our workers are all volunteers and it takes time to process applications. We are a registered 501c3 non-profit organization, with ZERO paid workers or admins. Transport is regularly available to Wayne/Holmes County areas! We do have the ability to fly a cat or pair of kittens via Southwest's SWATT program to any location served by Southwest Airlines. It isn't free but has been a great way to transport animals in a timely manner.

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Little Tig came to our rescue after his mom went to a nursing home and was unable to care for him. His world has been turned upside down, and he needs a safe & quiet place to land so that he can regroup. He warms up slowly, but he does learn to trust -- and once he trusts you, he will love you unconditionally, and reward you with big throaty purrs. He completely enjoys chin scratches, and he has elevator butt when he's really into the pets. His coat is thick and so silky soft -- he's more of a medium length fur, and he does enjoy being petted. He uses his litterbox like the good boy he is:) Little Tig is approximately 6 years old; he was previously neutered and ear tipped at that time. He has not been dog tested but did live with other cats. All cats adopted through our rescue are age appropriately vaccinated including rabies & FVRCP/Feline Leukemia vaccines, dewormed & free of fleas, combo tested (negative unless otherwise noted), microchipped and spayed/neutered before adoptions are finalized. Kittens are spayed/neutered no later than 4 months of age or upon intake if older than that. If you would like to adopt, please fill out the application through the link or the website at -www.whiskersofohio.org - please note that the "I'm interested" tab does NOT act as an application, this should only be used for specific questions before committing to an adoption. Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Calli is a very sweet girl who was taken in as a friendly stray -- she came to us already spayed and ear tipped. She warms up very quickly and loves chin scratches -- she leans right into you for more; she does not seem to be afraid of dogs but will require an acclimation period with cats. She has a soft purr, and is just the sweetest girl. She does seem to be quite frightened and unsure of other animals (this could most definitely change over time), and she has that calico personality and loves pets and affection on her terms. Calli is chatty and vocal, and talks to her humans. She would do best as an only pet in a quieter household. Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Gunny was an owner surrender through no fault of his own. Gunny is a heartwarmingly shy tripod cat with a gentle soul and a curious spirit. He is shy, but he will warm up when given the chance to relax and get comfortable! He is a tripod cat, he is missing a back leg from an injury when he was a baby that resulted in an amputation. He needs a quiet home and safe space to call his own. With a coat as soft as down and eyes like golden autumn leaves, Gunny carries the warmth of the sun in his fur and the quietude of dawn in his demeanor. Though he may first appear reserved, those patient enough to earn his trust are rewarded with the tender headbutts and soft purrs that are the hallmark of his affection. Gunny spends his days exploring the nooks and crannies of his home, from the cool shade under the porch to the warm patches of sunlight that dance across the living room floor. He has a particular fondness for watching birds from the window, mesmerized by their flights and chirps, always content to observe and never disturb. Despite his shyness, Gunny possesses a curious courage, often surprising his human companions by venturing a little further into the unknown or bravely inspecting new guests from a safe distance. At heart, he's an adventurer who maps the contours of his comfort zone, then gently, gradually expands them. By night, Gunny transforms into a silent guardian, curling up at the foot of the bed, offering silent company and warmth. He's not just a pet; he's a gentle soul who enriches the lives of those around him with his quiet love and subtle companionship. In Gunny's world, every day is an opportunity to quietly marvel at the beauty of life, making him a beloved figure in his home, a silent, soothing presence that speaks volumes of the joy of simply being. Gunny is almost 3 years old and has a $50 (partially sponsored) adoption fee. All cats adopted through our rescue are age appropriately vaccinated including rabies & FVRCP/Feline Leukemia vaccines, dewormed & free of fleas, combo tested (negative unless otherwise noted), microchipped and spayed/neutered before adoptions are finalized.
