Story
Purrnado... Part tornado, part purr... He is a VERY vocal boy, loves to talk to you even though he seems to be entirely deaf -- he has learned to live with other cats and does very well with others. Purrnado sleeps like the dead, he is an incredibly sound sleeper. He definitely likes to be around people, and loves his special cushion where he naps the better part of the day. He LOVES the vacuum and will follow you around, simply fascinated. He looks like a bobtail kitty, but we believe that his tail is short due to an injury a long time ago. He does have a puffy nose that we haven't found an explanation for, but definitely gives him some character. He is estimated to be about 6 years old, and has a $100 adoption fee. All cats adopted through our rescue are age appropriately vaccinated including rabies & FVRCP/Feline Leukemia vaccines, dewormed & free of fleas, combo tested (negative unless otherwise noted), microchipped and spayed/neutered before adoptions are finalized. If you would like to adopt, please fill out the application through the link or the website at -www.whiskersofohio.org - please note that the "I'm interested" tab on Petfinder does NOT act as an application, this should only be used for specific questions before committing to an adoption. You will receive an email confirmation when your application goes through. We make no breed guarantees; we are a rescue, not a breeder. Please only apply for a specific kitten if you are committed to adopting! Our workers are all volunteers and it takes time to process applications. We are a registered, volunteer run 501c3 non-profit organization. Free transport is regularly available to Wayne/Holmes County areas! We do have the ability to fly a cat or pair of kittens via Southwest's SWATT program to any location served by Southwest Airlines. It isn't free but has been a great way to transport animals in a timely manner.

Story
Octavia is a torbie girl with a big personality packed into a small, whiskered frame. Her coat is a beautiful blend of tabby stripes and tortoiseshell splashes, making her look like a tiny work of art. Curious and clever, she loves watching the world from sunny windowsills and always seems to know when something interesting is about to happen. Sweet but independent, Octavia enjoys affection on her own terms—and when she chooses you, it feels like a special honor. We believe she is afraid of other cats; she would do great as an only kitty but would require very slow acclimation with another pet. She has a $100 adoption fee.🐾 All cats adopted through our rescue are age appropriately vaccinated including rabies & FVRCP/Feline Leukemia vaccines, dewormed & free of fleas, combo tested (negative unless otherwise noted), microchipped and spayed/neutered before adoptions are finalized. Story
Rainy, Cloudy, Misty, and Foggy are a charming little litter whose personalities match their weather-inspired names perfectly. Rainy is the gentle soul of the group, always the first to curl up in your lap with a soft purr that feels like a cozy afternoon shower. Cloudy is dreamy and observant, often perched on the highest cushion, watching the world drift by with calm curiosity. Misty is playful and light on her paws, darting through rooms like a swirl of morning haze, turning every shoelace and shadow into an adventure. And Foggy, the quiet explorer, loves to wander just out of sight before popping back into view with bright, mischievous eyes. Together, they’re a soft, whiskered forecast of cuddles, curiosity, and endless kitten mischief. Cloudy has a $150 adoption fee. Story
Cayenne and Cumari are the last of their litter; it has taken some time to work with them as they were spicy little peppers on intake. They will both need someone with patience and time to allow them to grow comfortable, and need adopters who will continue to work with them. Cayenne LOVES bigger, friendly cats and would thrive from an affectionate role model. Cumari is just a little slower to warm up but she is getting there. Both are extremely playful and so curious about human ways, and very observant of their humans. Each has a $125 adoption fee. All cats adopted through our rescue are age appropriately vaccinated including rabies & FVRCP/Feline Leukemia vaccines, dewormed & free of fleas, combo tested (negative unless otherwise noted), microchipped and spayed/neutered before adoptions are finalized.
