Story
I am sadly looking to rehome my two cats who were inherited to me after my sister passed away. I love them very much, but I am allergic and can’t give them the care they deserve long-term. They are bonded brothers and must stay together. They are very friendly, playful, and extremely cuddly. They get along great with dogs, other cats, and people. Both are up to date on shots, vet care, and everything they need. These boys are gentle, affectionate, and love attention. They enjoy playing, napping together, and following you around the house for cuddles. They deserve a loving home where they can stay together and continue to feel safe. If you’re looking for two sweet, well-behaved cats who will bring love and companionship into your home, they are perfect for you. Rehoming because of allergies – not their behavior. Serious inquiries only. A good, safe home is a must.

Story
Meet Frosting 🤍 Frosting is a gentle boy with a soft heart who is still learning that the world can be kind. He was rescued as part of one of the most severe neglect cases the Humane Society of Greater Dayton has faced in recent years. Coming from an environment with 33 other animals where they endured long-term filth, confinement, and neglect, it’s completely understandable that Frosting is a bit nervous as he adjusts to a new, safer life. At first, he may seem unsure—but give him a moment and a few gentle cheek scratches, and you’ll see the magic happen. Frosting leans right in and melts into the affection, clearly enjoying the attention and showing just how much love he has to give. Beneath his nerves is a cat with tremendous potential to be sweet, loving, and devoted. We hope Frosting will continue to gain confidence and begin to flourish. He will do best with a patient, understanding adopter who can help him feel safe and move at his own pace. With consistency, kindness, and time, Frosting’s true personality will shine. Now receiving the care and comfort he deserves, Frosting is ready for the next chapter of his life—a calm, loving home where he can finally feel secure and loved. 🐾✨

Story
Meet Brownie, a big, handsome boy with a gentle heart and a quiet hope for a brighter future. Brownie is still a little unsure of his new environment, which is completely understandable given what he’s been through. While he may be shy at first, it’s clear that he wants to trust and accept affection. With a calm voice and a little patience, you can see him soften and show the sweet, loving cat he’s meant to be. In the right home, Brownie will have the chance to build confidence and truly let his personality shine. Brownie came to the Humane Society of Greater Dayton as part of one of the most severe neglect cases our team has encountered. Thirty-three animals were rescued from unimaginable conditions—living in filth, darkness, extreme confinement, and without basic necessities like clean water or medical care. Once safe in our care, surrounded by clean bedding, fresh food, and gentle hands, the relief was visible. For many, this was the first time in a long while they experienced comfort and kindness. Now, Brownie is ready for the next chapter of his life. He’s looking for a patient, understanding home that will give him the time and love he needs to feel secure and confident. In return, Brownie promises quiet companionship, a grateful heart, and the joy of watching a resilient soul blossom. This big, beautiful boy has survived so much—and he’s more than ready to find his forever home. 💛🐾
