Story
Add some ‘purr’ to your life, with cutie boy, Burr! This sweet chubby cheek boy is as snuggly as they come. He loves to curl up with you, purr his little heart out, and be your bedtime buddy. At night especially, he’s the best cuddle partner around. He’s also super talkative and will happily “chat” with you throughout the day. And when it comes to other cats—he’s all about making friends!Burr is known to be a little dramatic if you try to leave the room without giving him the love and attention he feels he deserves. If he’s talking to you, he expects to be acknowledged—he knows his worth!Like all of us, he’s had a few struggles. He has had some bowel issues in the past, though his new medicine has made a world of difference. He’s also FIV positive, which sounds scary but really just means he needs a loving, low-stress home and good care (and he has lots of years of love to give!). He’s not the biggest fan of dogs, though with time and patience he can adjust—but with cats, he’s all in!At the end of the day, this boy is pure sweetness wrapped up in a furry little package. He just needs the right home to see past “the ugly” and embrace all the good and love he has to give. We believe Burr to be around 2 years old, and currently weighs around 10 lbs (but still needs to put on a few more pounds). You may apply to adopt Burr at www.pawpatroldayton.com/adopt. Burr is vaccinated, FELV tested negative, microchipped and neutered. His adoption fee is $50. All of our animals are vaccinated, micro-chipped and spayed/neutered before being adopted.

Story
Lyra, is the loving mama to our solar system kitties, though she's just a kitten herself at only a year old! Lyra seems to have spent a lot of time as an outdoor cat and has top notch hunter skills. However, now Lyra is ready to settle down from the exciting life of the outdoors and adventures in motherhood to a new, calm, loving home. Lyra loves pets and attention, but isn’t quite a lap cat yet. Lyra has been a wonderful mother to her own kittens as well as her six year old human foster sibling. She has been patient and loving with all. Lyra has responded well in all situations with her foster family and has been loving learning to be on a harness for outside adventures. She still loves the sun and outside from her glory days, but Lyra has also shown so much growth in her in home skills. She is litter trained as well. Lyra will go home spayed and up to date on vaccines. You can apply to adopt Lyra at www.pawpatroldayton.com/adopt. Lyra's adoption fee is $50. All of our animals are vaccinated, micro-chipped and spayed/neutered before being adopted.

Story
This distinguished gentleman of a cat is equal parts snugglebug, lap-warmer, and charming curmudgeon. Much like his famous namesake, Wilford Brimley (Brim) comes with a deep, soothing purr that could probably sell you oatmeal or read you a bedtime story. The moment you touch him—or better yet, bring him food—he rumbles like a bass note. Wilford Brimley the cat is an absolute people’s cat. He loves to be brushed, petted, cuddled, and adored by anyone willing to give him attention (kids included!). He takes his insulin shots like a champ—seriously, you won’t even see him flinch—and thanks to his care, his “diabeetus” is well-managed these days. That said, he’s a chow hound who can’t be trusted with an open buffet. He’ll eat anything in sight faster than you can say “Quaker Oats”, so he needs a family who can help him stick to his special diet. He sheds a bit and needs regular brushing (which he enjoys anyway). Now, let’s be honest: Wilford Brimley is not a fan of other pets. Dogs? Absolutely not. Other cats? He’s unpredictable at best, scrappy at worst. His ideal role in life is as your one-and-only—your faithful companion, your lap-warmer, your oatmeal-commercial co-star.If you’re looking for a loyal, affectionate, people-loving cat who will give you endless love (and a touch of dramatic flair), then Wilford Brimley is ready to make your home his forever. Wilford Brimley (again, the cat) is neutered, microchipped and fully vaccinated. His adoption fee is $50! Follow Wilford “Brim” Brimley’s journey on our Facebook page. All of our animals are vaccinated, micro-chipped and spayed/neutered before being adopted.

Story
Sarabi is a medium sized tri-colored domestic short haired cat, around 3 years old. She is a total sweetheart! She loves attention and lives for pets and scritches. Sarabi is quiet and gentle. She loves to play with toys and explore her surroundings. Don't let her calm demeanor fool you, however--Sarabi has an ornery streak and has been known to dash out of doors in the blink of an eye! Sarabi is a healthy eater that always comes when called at dinner time. She is an avid litterbox pro and exudes main character energy. Sarabi would do best as the only kitty reigning over her kingdom, or with one or two loyal and laid-back feline subjects. Sarabi would do best in a household without guests of the canine persuasion. Her adoption fee is $50. She is vaccinated, FIV and FELV tested negative, microchipped and spayed. An application for Sarabi can be completed at www.pawpatroldayton.com/adopt All of our animals are vaccinated, micro-chipped and spayed/neutered before being adopted.

Story
Oreo is a classic black-and-white tuxedo snack, but listen… this man has a very specific preference.Women? He does not see you. You are air. You are a faint breeze. You are the “skip intro” button on Netflix — useful, but not something he emotionally connects with. No beef. No fear. Just… neutrality. You are Switzerland. He is simply not moved. But MEN?? Ohhhhh, the MEN.He transforms into a love-sick Victorian poet. He will lean his head against a guy’s chest like he’s reenacting a movie poster, slow-blink like he’s writing a love ballad in his mind, and purr like he’s charging a Tesla.Oreo is Yin and Yang in one feline masterpiece. Tuxedo formal on the outside. Frat-boy golden retriever affection on the inside. He's a tuxedo icon, grown adult of 3 years old, but still young enough to make questionable life choices. His personality is gentleman, charmer, and selectively affectionate. His hobbies include bro cuddles, lounging, completely ignoring women with dignity. His ideal home is with a guy seeking his feline life partner / wingman / emotional support buddy. He has mastered the litter box and won't damage the furniture. He's not sure how he feels about other cats, but who needs them anyway when you have the magnificent Oreo? If you're a man looking for a cat who will treat you like the main character of a romance novel, Oreo is your guy. If you're a woman… you can still adopt him. Just know he will regard you as a set decoration.Adopt Oreo. Bring balance. Bring harmony. Bring your boyfriend so he'll act interested. You can stop in anytime and visit him at County Lane Kennel in Troy.Oreo tested negative for FeLV but positive for FIV. Cats with FIV can live long wonderful lives with other FIV positive cats and with non-FIV positive cats with proper acclimation. You may apply to adopt Oreo at www.pawpatroldayton.com/adopt. Oreo is vaccinated, microchipped and neutered. His adoption fee is $50. All of our animals are vaccinated, micro-chipped and spayed/neutered before being adopted.
