Story
Meet Keke! Keke used to be an outside girl, but after a nice family took her in for the winter storm, she`s decided she`s over that life. From her short vacation before arriving with us, we`ve learned a few things about her. Keke does NOT like other cats. She coexisted well with a small child and a dog, mostly just keeping to herself. Keke is a litterbox pro and is a very tidy girl.Keke can also get overstimulated pretty easily sometimes. Although she tolerated the young child in the home petting her all over, here in the shelter she has shown some issues with being poked and prodded too much. A quieter home might be best for her. She also doesn`t enjoy being picked up and carried longer than what it would take to move her somewhere. If you have a (relatively) calm home and a little bit of patience, Keke would love to be your new best friend!

Story
Meet Splotch!Splotch found her way to us after a good samaritan found her wandering a park looking a little rough. She was super sweet and came right up to them, knowing she was about to get her second chance. In the shelter, she`s been nothing but an angel; great for vetting, handling, and occasionally playing. Splotch loves catnip and catnip toys, and will readily bat around a feather wand. She also has a tiny quirk. If given the chance, Splotch has decided that her FAVORITE snack is clay litter. She now gets pine pellet litter and hasn`t had any litter-eating tendencies since. We believe the litter-eating could have been caused by the stress of environment changes, but we are erring on the side of caution; she can likely be transitioned to regular litter in a home environment with no issues once she`s settled in. We will send Splotch out with a bag of her pine pellet litter to help with the transition!Besides trying to snack on cat litter, Splotch would be great for almost any home. She did spend a few days in an adoptive home before being brought back due to allergies. Her adopters say that she was a perfect houseguest besides not getting along with their dogs. She just needs a home with no canines, but she loves other cats! Splotch also did great with the children in the home. In the shelter environment she can be a little withdrawn, but she warmed up in the home so quickly and was a major lap-cat. Cuddling was her favorite pastime! If you think Splotch sounds like a good fit for you, come meet her today!

Story
Meet Lucy!Lucy came to us as an owner surrender after the resident dogs didn`t get along with her. After a month of being confined to a closet to avoid the dogs, Lucy`s owner knew that she deserved better and surrendered her to us. Understandably, Lucy was very afraid, shut down, and scared of being stuck behind doors. She had a lot of trouble with barrier reactivity behind her closed cage door. After her barrier reactivity continued to regress, we moved Lucy into a quieter room with less activity. Unfortunately, being able to hear, see, and smell the other cats in the room caused Lucy to continue her reactive behaviors; she was still her sweet self, but would sometimes react in an aggressive way when approached. We knew she had to be in a room with no other animals so she could blossom. Lucy now reigns over our Foster Coordinator`s office, where she gets to soak up all the space and attention for herself. She is now showing her true colors: a sweet girl that loves butt scritches and head pats. She`s not a huge player but has even started showing interest in toys. Feather wands and crinkly things are her favorites! If you have no other animals and think that Lucy sounds like your perfect one-and-only, come meet her today! She`s waiting for you to give her the second chance she deserves.

Story
Meet Allie!Allie came to us as an owner surrender after not getting along with the resident felines after two years of trying. She`s been in and out of a few homes in her lifetime; we know now that Allie is just simply not a fan of other animals. At all. In her most recent home, her feline roommates caused her so much stress that she started refusing to use the litterbox. Since returning to the shelter and being given her own space, she`s become a litterbox pro again. She just likes all the attention for herself-- and who can blame her!Allie also has another `quirk.` She`s had a few UTIs throughout her life and has now been prescribed a special urinary diet to prevent her from developing one again. After her course of antibiotics and starting her special food, our medical team believes that she should be UTI-free as long as her diet and litterbox cleanings are kept up with!

Story
Meet Asher!Asher came to us as an injured stray in need of some TLC. After about a month of medical treatment, and plenty of love, Asher is finally ready to find his forever home. The most important thing to know about Asher is that he is FIV+. However, cats with FIV can live the same long and healthy lives as cats without the virus if given proper veterinary care! Asher can even live with other cats that don`t have FIV with proper peaceful introductions. He`ll need a low-stress environment to stay healthy, but he`s a pretty low-energy guy anyway.Asher is also a very silly cat. He loves to yell until he gets the attention that he wants. If you`ve been thinking that your house may be too quiet, Asher says no problem-- he will fix that for you. He can also sniff out treats like a bloodhound. No treat container is safe from Asher`s nose!In the shelter, Asher has had no issues seeing other cats in their cages, but in a home environment he will of course need a slow, proper introduction to any resident animals. He loves to play with a feather wand with people, but he`s more of the coexisting type with other cats.If you think Asher sounds like your next best friend, come meet him today! He`s waiting for the second chance he deserves.
