Say hello to Hibrew! It took Hibrew about seven months to understand that all humans aren't out to hurt her. She is now ready for adoption. She's quite shy at first and will cringe/cower if you come at her too fast but she (now) warms up quickly and accepts the love you offer. Hibrew is fully vetted, UTD on vaccines and microchipped. She does well with other cats but still worries about dogs and has never met any children. I think she would do well with older children but younger ones would be "too much" for her fractured little self. She needs a quiet home where her family understands that she will come to love you, given the time. She does take a minute to warm up to new people but it's only a minute, or two. She prefers to be a loner type of girl in that she doesn't want you to come at her for love but wants to bring it to you. Meet Socks! Socks was a stray that came to the rescue through its TNR program who is now fully vetted and ready to roll. He’s been with his foster for 8 months. Socks is the definition of curiosity that killed the cat. He’s a very curious and adventurous boy. He wants/needs to know what’s going on at all times. He loves to play and get pets, though he isn’t too fond of being held. However, he is a BIG cuddler. If you sit in a chair he’s in your lap, if you lay down he’s laying on you, if you bend over to clean his litter box he’ll hop up onto your back. He’s a sweet, funny guy who just wants a home where he can run and play and jump all day. Somewhere, he can sprawl out in plain sight or tuck himself away in a hidey hole. They thought I would like to be a barn kitty, but after I got used to humans and realized they were not all bad, my personality came out big time. I like being petted and love to wrap myself around your legs. I like being around my people, but I seem to be a one girl kind of kitty but will warm up more to other people with time. I can co-exist with other animals but would be happier with only 1 cat or alone. I'm ok with older children but still shy way from small ones as they still scare me.
