Story
Sweet Jackson climbs into his foster's lap for snuggles, happily dashes all over the house like a fuzzy maniac, then rolls around on the carpet in the hallway, eyes half closed with a happy grin on his face! His foster says he's totally talkative too, getting their attention and chatting with them in his cute, high-pitched mew.... It's so cute, they sometimes call him squeaky! Our vet estimates Jackson to be just over a year old. Included with the adoption is his neuter, all current-due FVRCP, FeLeuk, and rabies vaccinations for kitties over 1-year, deworming, flea treatment, a wellness check, FIV/FeLV combo testing, and microchipping. In addition to being fully vetted, our cats and kittens are highly socialized. We offer a 2-week getting acquainted period and a 2-week wellness guarantee, so you can comfortably settle in with your new kitty! Story
Clover and his sister have had some rough luck, to say the least! At 7 years young, their family added a new family member with severe allergies, and suddenly these two sweeties lost the home they knew. Clover is more outgoing, and his sister Daisy watches to see if he says things are ok before she ventures out as well. They will do fine in separate homes, but if you're thinking of adopting a pair of kitties, these calm, sweet tabbies would make a fabulous duo! Included with the adoption is the kitty's spay/neuter, all current-due FVRCP, FeLeuk, and rabies vaccinations for kitties over 1-year, deworming, flea treatment, a wellness check, FIV/FeLV combo testing, and microchipping. In addition to being fully vetted, our cats and kittens are highly socialized. Story
Odie is a nervous guy. He's been with his foster mom for quite some time, and still isn't so sure about it when she walks over to him. There ARE a lot of foster siblings there, though... it's possible that with just the right balance of a quiet home and a very patient person, Odie may decide he wants a bit more human interaction (but we don't know, and cannot promise that.) Odie would do best in a quiet home without kids, dogs, or dominant kitties, somewhere he can feel safe and comfortable enough to let his guard down. Included with the adoption is the kitty's spay/neuter, all current-due FVRCP, FeLeuk, and rabies vaccinations for kitties over 1-year, deworming, flea treatment, a wellness check, FIV/FeLV combo testing, and microchipping. Story
Ozzy is a loving and affectionate boy who has overcome a few health challenges in his short life. He has taken everything in stride, and continues to be a light in his foster's household! EVERY new kitten that comes in is his best friend, and EVERY new toy is a new adventure!! He is constantly purring, and LOVES being in the same room as his people. Ozzy had a ruptured eye which led to its altered appearance. While it may effect his vision to some degree, he does not show it! He also has recurrent FHV-1 which leads to flare ups of sneezing, congestion and discharge. His foster has worked tirelessly to find ways to prevent and manage his flare ups, and is more than happy to share these with his future family! While he may look a little silly winking most of the time, this boy has nothing but LOVE and HAPPINESS to share!! Our vet estimates Ozzy's age at under 1 year old. Included with the adoption is the kitty's neuter, all applicable birth-to-one-year FVRCP, FeLeuk and first round of rabies vaccinations, deworming, flea treatment, a wellness check, FIV/FeLV combo testing, and microchipping. In addition to being fully vetted, our cats and kittens are highly socialized. We even offer a getting acquainted period, so you can comfortably settle in with your new kitty! Please note, young kitties do best with another kitty in the household. Story
Bastion is a big tomcat originally meant for Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR), but fate had other plans for this handsome seal point bicolored siamese boy! It was obvious that Bastion had a very hard life up until he was caught. When he came in, he had entropion in both his eyes, which then caused eye infections making him practically blind until properly treated. And because he had been forced to fight for his life on the streets, he is FIV positive. Very soon after his neuter, Bastion showed signs that maybe he could be successfully socialized though, rubbing all over the trap and meowing for his trapper's attention! Even so, after providing Bastion with the necessary medical care, his trapper had to decide what would give this boy the best outcome - the street life he was familiar with, or something new and unknown. She considered returning him to his trapping site per standard TNR practice, but after someone in the neighborhood said he would shoot Bastion because he'd previously seen him stalking birds, she knew the decision was made; she couldn't bear something like that happening! We are VERY happy to report that Bastion has taken to his new life with absolute enthusiasm! Bastion loves to rub up on you, and loves getting chin rubs and long strokes from head to tail. He doesn't like scratches on his belly or butt, and if he's lying down he doesn't like to be approached. (These things are probably residual instincts because of having to defend himself from attackers for so long.) He really enjoys spending time with his foster mom though, and she understands love needs to be on his terms. (His foster says that on the day of his eye surgery, he returned from the doctor and climbed up to stay in her arms, actively seeking comfort from her after such a rough day! She got a photo after he'd crawled up into her arms, still in his cone, looking for reassurance and love.) Bastion does sometimes give warning nibbles if something is not to his liking, but will almost always start huffing before he bites. His people must understand that he has feral roots and will take some time to feel comfortable in any new setting. A well-versed cat person will likely be able to read his body language to know when he's getting uncomfortable, but children and other animals in the home must also be able to respect his boundaries. All in all, he seems pretty accepting of other animals as long as he does not sense any aggression from them, and seems to not be bothered by his foster's dogs at all. He is also ok with the other cats in her home unless they try to start something with him. Bastion does love to sit with his foster, either on her lap or in her arms, getting chin rubs. He'll happily accept love, and will communicate to you when he's had enough petting and just wants to chill. After having such a hard life previously, this sweet boy is making amazing progress as a fabulous indoor companion, and with the right person we believe he'll keep getting more and more comfortable and loving! Since his eye surgery was successful, his eyes shouldn't need any special care, but the left one may look a little odd or have some drainage from time to time. He still has a couple of stitches on the right currently, but they will continue to come out on their own. Our vet estimates Bastion at approximately 4 years old. Included with the adoption is the kitty's neuter, all current-due FVRCP, FeLeuk, and rabies vaccinations for kitties over 1-year, deworming, flea treatment, a wellness check, FIV/FeLV combo testing, and microchipping. In addition to being fully vetted, our cats and kittens are highly socialized. We even offer getting acquainted period so you can comfortably settle in with your new kitty! Story
This is Yara! She has one gold eye and one green eye. She's a calm girl! Her foster has tried to talk her into playing with toys, but she would much rather hop onto the couch with her person, get some pets, and fall asleep curled up (always making contact). She got comfortable in her foster home pretty quickly, but sometimes loud noises throw her off and she will hide. She HATES the vacuum, so much so her foster will move Yara to another room or just using a broom to clean up instead, in order to keep Yara's stress levels down. Yara loves to look out the window, but has not many any advances towards the door. She was destined for the couch life, and is loving the life of indoor luxury!. She is a lap cat, and loves to be pet. She is not yet into the idea of being held, but isn’t as opposed to it as some kitties are. She would do well in a loving home that’s typically quiet. She gets along with her foster siblings - They started off very close but as she’s gotten more comfortable in her foster home, she has started to attached to her people and less to the other kitties. Our vet estimates Yara at just barely over a year old. Included with the adoption is the kitty's spay, all current-due FVRCP, FeLeuk, and rabies vaccinations for kitties over 1-year, deworming, flea treatment, a wellness check, FIV/FeLV combo testing, and microchipping.
