Meet Chicken, Chicken was surrendered to Haven of the Heart when he developed a urinary blockage and his family asked to surrender him so he could receive proper care and ongoing prescription diet. Chicken is a bit of a chicken initially, he is timid but once out of his shell he seeks affection from his caregivers. He is a sweet cat who is currently housed with other cats. Chicken will have to be on a prescription diet for the rest of his life, otherwise if not kept on this diet he will most definitely suffer another blockage and will require another surgery. The food must be purchased from a vet clinic and must be Urinary SO, please note: Urinary Care food is not the same and will not prevent another blockage. He was surrendered to Haven of the Heart when he developed a urinary blockage and his family asked to surrender him so he could receive proper care and ongoing prescription diet. Happy is a very affectionate, sweet cat who is currently housed with other cats. But this guy loves affection and seeks attention when volunteers arrive to tend to the cats. Meet Bowser, a 2-year-old handsome Brown Tabby. He was surrendered to Haven of the Heart when he developed a urinary blockage and his family asked to surrender him so he could receive proper care and ongoing prescription diet. Bowser is a very sweet boy who loves the other cats he is housed with. He is timid with new people, but once he trusts you, he loves chin scratches and cuddles. Bowser uses his litter box but has piddled outside of his litter box, and we think he may do ok as a loved barn cat. He would need a safe, clean, heated barn as that is what we offer our barn cats. Bowser will have to be on a prescription diet for the rest of his life, otherwise if not kept on this diet he will most definitely suffer another blockage and will require another surgery. Now that her babies are grown and adopted, she is looking for a warm safe place to lay her paws too. Silver will need a very special adopter who will give her the time and space she needs to blossom She has NEVER shown any signs of aggression or protectiveness, even when her babies were small. She is still learning to trust and will come up to her foster for head scratches once in awhile. But she is hyper aware of sounds and afraid of anything new. Jade is the tortie girl and her sister Spring is a boldly marked tabby...Yes! They did actually come from the same mama! Both cats are calm and non demanding. They don't ask for affection, but are happy when you offer a good scritch or gentle petting. They are good with other cats and with gentle dogs. They have not been around children but would be fine with older kids. They are not the kind of kitties that you are going to pick up and carry around, but if you are working from home, they will stay in the office with you and keep you company.
