Marcello is a curious yet playful boy with so many wonderful traits. He loves heights and can often be found perched at the very top of the cat tree, gazing out the window and watching birds at the feeder. He loves foodboth his own and human treats. Whenever raw meat is being prepared, hes right there, hoping for a little taste. He loves playing with the cat wand and laser pointer, and his zoomies are incredibly entertaining to watch. Once hes burned off his energy, hes happy to relax and chill for the rest of the day.Marcello is a quiet boyyou hardly ever hear a sound from himbut when you do, its the sweetest, softest little meow for such a handsome, charming boy.Marcello is being fostered in AuroraIf you would like to meet Marcello and are interested in adopting him, please fill out an application at https://pawsaboverescue.ca/cat-adoption/   Please visit our website www.pawsaboverescue.ca to learn more about this amazing pet and to see other available dogs and cats.

Story
Paisley is at Purrfect Cafe (https://purrfectcafe.ca) Paisley is one of our 17 kittens at our rescue. She is from a litter of 5 and has been cared for by one of our fosters. She has been with her other siblings and her mom for the past three months. This cat was born at our rescue; we discovered the mom while she was pregnant.   Please note: Paisley had an eye infection when she was only 6 weeks old. She has lost sight (mostly) in that eye. It has completely healed, but the sight hasn't recovered.   Don't let her size fool you. Paisley is the smallest of the litter, but she has never once acted like it. She holds her own with her siblings, jumps into the chaos headfirst, and brings a fierce little energy that is impossible to ignore. When the playing is done, she finds the warmest spot in the room, curls up, and purrs like a machine: big personality, big purr, tiny cat. Paisley is proof that the best things really do come in small packages.       This kitten needs to be placed with another kitten at our rescue, or can be adopted if you have another cat under the age of five. It is really important to us to never adopt kittens on their own. Adopting kittens in pairs helps them develop essential social skills, keeps them entertained, and reduces unwanted behaviours like biting and scratching. They also keep each other company, making them happier and healthier pets. If you have an older cat, adopting two kittens can help maintain harmony in your home.       Paisley has had two vaccinations and is soon to be neutered at the end of June. Everything is included in the adoption fee - all vaccinations, neuter/spay, vet wellness checks, and microchip. July 10, 2026, 5:05 pm

Story
Kaper is at Purrfect Cafe (https://purrfectcafe.ca) Kaper is one of our delightful 23 kittens currently residing at our rescue organization, where we strive to provide a haven for these adorable felines until they find their forever homes. Each kitten in our care has a unique story, and Kaper's journey is particularly heartwarming. He hails from a charming litter of four kittens, each with their own personality and quirks, and he has been lovingly cared for by one of our dedicated foster volunteers, who has nurtured him and his siblings. They have been at our rescue for only a few weeks, having been rescued from the streets of Toronto, where they faced numerous challenges and uncertainties, including hunger, exposure to harsh weather, and the constant threat of danger. Our team worked tirelessly to bring them into a nurturing environment, ensuring they receive the love and care they deserve as they transition from the streets to a warm, welcoming home filled with safety and affection.   Kaper is an orange tabby kitten with a beautiful, soft coat that glistens in the light, making him a striking presence among his peers. He is a sweet little kitten, full of charm and personality, who can easily be picked up and cuddled. With his soft, fluffy fur that feels like a warm cloud against your skin, he invites affection from anyone who approaches him. His big, expressive eyes gleam with curiosity and playfulness, making it hard to resist his adorable presence. When you hold him, he often purrs softly, a gentle rumble that signifies his contentment and enjoyment of the moment.   This delightful kitten thrives on human interaction, often seeking out attention and affection. He nuzzles against your hand, hoping for gentle strokes along his back, and he responds to your touch with little purrs and playful swats of his tiny paws. His playful antics, such as chasing after a feather toy or pouncing on a rolling ball, showcase his lively spirit, while his calm demeanour when being held reveals his affectionate nature.   Kaper needs to be adopted alongside another kitten from our rescue or into a home that already has another cat under the age of five. We place a high priority on ensuring that our kittens are not adopted individually, as this can lead to feelings of loneliness and anxiety. Kittens are inherently social creatures, and when they grow up together, they form strong bonds that provide emotional support and companionship. When kittens are adopted in pairs, they benefit immensely from developing vital social skills that will serve them well throughout their lives. They keep each other entertained, which helps reduce the likelihood of unwanted behaviours like biting and scratching, as they have a playmate to engage with and learn from. The companionship they provide each other contributes significantly to their overall happiness and well-being. Furthermore, if you already have an older cat at home, bringing in two kittens can help maintain a harmonious environment, as they can bond and interact in a way that eases the transition for everyone involved. This social interaction is crucial in helping them learn appropriate behaviours and creating a balanced dynamic within the household, fostering a sense of community among the pets.   Kaper has already received one vaccination and neuter surgery, ensuring that he is on the right path to a healthy life. These initial medical procedures are vital in preventing future health issues and contribute to responsible pet ownership. The adoption fee covers all necessary expenses, including vaccinations, the neuter/spay procedure, routine vet wellness checks, and a microchip for identification purposes. This comprehensive package is designed to ensure that when you adopt Kaper, you are not only gaining a loving companion but also contributing to the overall mission of our rescue to provide safe and healthy homes for these wonderful animals.     July 10, 2026, 5:05 pm

Story
This kitten will be available to be adopted and taken home on August 1. You must submit an online application on our website, and a deposit of $200 will be accepted to reserve this kitten. Shackles is one of our delightful 23 kittens currently residing at our rescue organization, where we strive to provide a haven for these adorable felines until they find their forever homes. Shackles hails from a charming litter of six kittens, and he has been lovingly cared for by one of our dedicated foster volunteers. They have been at our rescue for only a few weeks, having been rescued from the streets of Scarborough, where they faced numerous challenges and uncertainties, including the dangers of street life such as traffic, harsh weather conditions, and the constant struggle for food and shelter. Our team worked tirelessly to bring them into a nurturing environment, ensuring they receive the love and care they deserve as they transition from the streets to a warm, welcoming home. This transition is crucial for their development, as it allows them to learn to trust humans and experience the comforts of indoor living.   Shackles is an affectionate black male kitten who loves his adopted cat mom dearly. Unlike his more active siblings, he has a gentle demeanour and often seeks out cuddles and companionship. Shakles enjoys sitting close to you, purring softly as he basks in your attention. His playful spirit shines through when he engages in playful antics with his siblings, showcasing his innocent charm. His purring is a soothing melody, especially when you gently lay a hand on his soft fur, which seems to melt away any worries you may have. As the day winds down, he loves to curl up beside you, seeking warmth and comfort as he drifts off to sleep, a true testament to his loving personality.   Shackles need to be adopted alongside another kitten from our rescue or into a home that already has another cat under the age of five.  We place a high priority on ensuring that our kittens are not adopted individually, as this can lead to feelings of loneliness and anxiety. Kittens are social creatures by nature, and when they are adopted in pairs, they benefit immensely from developing vital social skills that will serve them well throughout their lives. They keep each other entertained, which helps reduce the likelihood of unwanted behaviours like biting and scratching, as they have a playmate to engage with. The companionship they provide each other contributes significantly to their overall happiness and well-being. Furthermore, if you already have an older cat at home, bringing in two kittens can help maintain a harmonious environment, as they can bond and interact in a way that eases the transition for everyone involved. This social interaction is crucial in helping them learn appropriate behaviours and creating a balanced dynamic within the household. By fostering these relationships, we ensure that Shakles and his future companion will thrive in their new environment, filled with love and play.   Currently, Shackles is too young for any vaccinations and spay surgery, which are critical components of responsible pet ownership. The adoption fee covers all necessary expenses, including vaccinations, the neuter/spay procedure, routine vet wellness checks, and a microchip for identification purposes. This comprehensive package is designed to ensure that when you adopt Shackles, you are not only gaining a loving companion but also contributing to the overall mission of our rescue to provide safe and healthy homes for these wonderful animals. By adopting from us, you are making a positive impact not just in Shackles' life, but in the lives of many other animals who are in need of care and love. We are committed to supporting our adopters even after the adoption process, providing resources and guidance to ensure a smooth transition for both the kittens and their new families. Our goal is to create lasting relationships between pets and their owners, ensuring that every adoption is a success story filled with joy and companionship. July 10, 2026, 5:05 pm

Story
Teeth issues; on steroidsMeet Winston, a strikingly handsome black cat whose imposing presence is matched only by his charming personality. This delightful feline, at the tender age of six, has already embarked on a remarkable journey that has shaped him into the affectionate companion he is today. Winston's story begins in an outdoor cat colony, a place where he faced many challenges and uncertainties. However, his life took a positive turn when a compassionate group of individuals dedicated themselves to caring for the colony. Among the many cats, they noticed Winston, a particularly striking and friendly cat, whose outgoing nature set him apart from the rest. Since October 2025, he has been fortunate enough to find refuge in a nurturing foster care environment, where he has been given the invaluable opportunity to truly express himself and cultivate his personality in a safe, loving space.   Winston has undergone a beautiful transformation since entering his foster home. He has been fully socialized and has embraced the role of a home-based, lap cat with open paws. His affectionate demeanour is evident; he adores being petted and craves the warmth of human companionship. Since his rescue, which marked the beginning of a new chapter in his life back in January, he has shown incredible progress in both his emotional and social development. Far from being timid, this charming kitty is confident and assertive, often seeking out his human friends for affection. Whether he is curling up next to you or playfully batting at his favourite toys, Winston’s joyful responses are sure to bring a smile to your face and warmth to your heart.   Winston's playful antics and loving nature make him a delightful companion, and his presence can brighten even the dullest of days. His silky black fur, combined with his expressive green eyes, makes him not only a visual delight but also a source of comfort and joy. Don’t miss the opportunity to enrich your life with the boundless joy and companionship that Winston has to offer; he is eagerly waiting to find his forever family! By opening your heart and home to him, you will not only be giving him a second chance at happiness but also gaining a loyal friend who will fill your life with love, laughter, and countless cherished memories.   Adopting Winston means welcoming a furry bundle of joy into your life, one that promises to bring warmth and companionship for years to come.  July 10, 2026, 5:05 pm
