Every once in awhile you will see younger dogs but for the most part our dogs live out their life at the ranch at the request of their previous owners or their owners families. We have many sponsorship dogs. Our sponsors love to keep in touch and know how their sponsored fur buddy is doing :) When we have foster families we are thrilled to be able to take adoptable younger dogs :) So if you have ever thought about becoming fosters please feel free to go to our foster/volunteer page and fill out an application. The Ranch located at 737 Taylor Rd., Windsor, PA is always looking for dedicated volunteers that will commit to at least a 2 hour shift per week at the rescue. Volunteers work in play yards, help with laundry and feeding. Some enjoy landscaping or carpentry projects and some like to bake for the healing center visitors :) Thank you for supporting our mission of caring for the elderly and medically needy souls that need us! I am the sweetest little girl EVER! I didn't have anyone love me and I found myself pregnant and alone. I was scared and I had no where to go. I had my babies alone under a deck :( Finally someone saw me and my babies and called 2nd Chance, but unfortunately by then I had lost one of my babies :( Now my 3 other little ones and me are safe in the arms of 2nd Chance. I'm spayed, housetrained, had my shots and am super sweet. I love kids but I am not fond of dogs. I can tolerate cats but would prefer to be an only pet. Tiger Lily came with Freedom from a rescue who had to close their doors. We are all struggling with the weight of all the unwanted animals and the extreme cost of vet care. We are grateful at this time we are capable of continuing the work. Hi i’m Jynx! Some nice people found me in a campground and took me in and took care of me until 2nd Chance could take me in. I’m a little shy at first, but once i start getting pets and chin scratches i melt in your hand and warm up quickly. i’m a quite gentle soul. Im pretty laid back and enjoy just lounging and getting pets. I do enjoy playing with a string wand too!!!! I don’t mind other kitties as long as my people understand slow and steady introductions. I don’t pay any mind to the dogs running around the ranch.
