Story
Shadow showed up on my daughter’s porch. Her and her husband do TNR and neighbors know it. This beautiful regal lady was way too friendly to be a feral. But they caught her right away and took her to be neutered and her shots. Daughter and husband have three cats already so I offered to foster her until we find a furever home for her. I was hoping it would have been with me, I think she is about a year old….still has a lot of playing to do. Oh, and she is very inquisitive about everything! I have adopted a 7 year old lady recently and Shadow is just too much for her. I have had to separate them, doing room swapping. My little girl is afraid of Shadow. 😞 It has become urgent to rehome her now due to my medical issues and upcoming surgeries.

North is 14. He loves to just sit on your lap and be pet. He showed up at our house when he was a kitten and we kept him but I’m moving away from home now and I can’t take him. He is a very chill cat.

Story
Meet Sussie! He came to us with his brother when someone rescued them from the outdoors at 8 weeks old. He is still working on his social skills with people but doing so week! Sussie loves to cuddle and greets you with purrs. When playing he loves ball tracks, spends time hanging out in the cat tree, napping in the sun. He is slow to warm up to new cat friends but has done well in settling in once he is comfortable.

Needs special attention, Spayed or Neutered, Shots are up-to-date,
Story
Dina is a gorgeous and sweet snowshoe cat who is brought to a New York shelter by animal control. She was transferred to journeys cat rescue because she had severe dental stomatitis and needed a rescue to help. She has surgery scheduled to have all of her teeth removed and will then be available to be adopted afterwards. Dina is a very affectionate girl! She is chatty, loves attention, and loves to be pet! She’s not sure what she thinks of other cats, but will likely need a long introductory period. She would also be perfectly happy to be in a house where she gets to enjoy all the human attention! We are guessing that she is between six and eight years old.

Story
Zazu is looking for a foster home to finish his ringworm treatment. His foster home will receive medication and instructions to finish his treatment (which started on Jan 14th and should last until the middle of February). But, most importantly, his foster home will also have the first chance of adopting this wonderfully affectionate and loving cat! Zazu is a 1.5 year old Persian cat who luckily doesn't have the same story of neglect that the majority of our cats from Kuwait have. Zazu was taken in as a kitten and has stayed in the same home for the past year. But the owner's mother was getting sick and increasingly allergic from his fur so she requested that we help to find him a home in the United States. Zazu is a gorgeous black and gray shaded Persian cat - pictures don't do him justice. He is a larger boy (11 pounds) and he just loves attention! Zazu's adoption fee is $300; a portion of which will help to support the rescue efforts of our friends in Kuwait.

Not good with kids, Good with cats, Shots are up-to-date,
Story
Sparkles is a 9 nine week old male kitten who was surrendered to a shelter in New York. From there he and his siblings were transferred to Journeys Cat Rescue. He has a long, thin tail, large ears, and a sleek-ish body. Sparkles is a shy kitten and is a little more nervous than his brother and sister. His foster mom is spending some time holding and cuddling him so his permanent home should be willing to continue to help him come out of his shell. Sparkles is a very unique-looking kitten. He has a long, sleeker than normal body, a long, thin tail, and larger than normal ears. In addition, he’s the only one of his siblings that has short, coarse fur. (His fur seems to shed a bit less than the average kitten). His foster mom wonders if he may be mixed with a Cornish Rex. Even though Sparkles is a little shy with people, he loves other kittens. His new home should have at least one other kitten or playful cat that he could tag around with. If you are interested in Sparkles, please contact Journeys for more information.
