Story
Meet Myrtle & Rowena Meet Myrtle and Rowena, a bonded mother-daughter duo who are as tight-knit as they come. Mom Myrtle is a senior cat with an estimated age of 9 and Rowena is estimated at 4 years old. Due to a lifetime of no vet care or human caring about her, Myrtle has some damage to her left eye. This doesn’t stop her from enjoying her life-just looks a little different. They have a love for food and a passion for cozy cuddles together. Myrtle loves her gravy wet food but daughter, Rowena won’t touch it and prefers dry. Despite their shy nature, they've mastered the art of independence. You'll often find them lounging together in their beloved cat tree or a cozy, fluffy bed. Their quiet, laid-back demeanor makes them perfect companions for a peaceful home. Myrtle and Rowena's bond is truly heartwarming. They've spent their lives supporting each other, and now they're ready to share their love with a forever family. Adopt Myrtle and Rowena and bring home double the love, double the purrs, and double the happiness. They both do well around other cats and have been around dogs but prefer to just avoid any interaction with them. Due to their shy nature a home without young children would be preferred. Story
Meet Perseus Meet Perseus – Your Curious, Loving Companion! Perseus is a stunning 5-year-old brown tabby with white, rescued from a challenging hoarding situation. This curious and charming guy always wants to know what you’re up to and adores attention and pets. However, Perseus prefers to keep all four paws on the ground—he’s not a fan of being picked up or carried. Why Perseus is Perfect for You: Great with Other Animals: Perseus thrives with other cats and even dogs! Best with Older Kids: He’d do well in a home with older, cat-savvy children who understand his boundaries. Loves Cozy Spots: Perseus is a pro at finding the coziest bed or the top perch of the cat tree, often snoozing belly-up in pure comfort. Unique Looks and Personality: His gorgeous stripes and spots make him stand out, and he loves being brushed, which is a great way to bond with him. While it took Perseus a little time to settle into his foster home, he’s now the king of the castle. With patience and love, he’ll do the same in his forever home. If you’re looking for a large, laid-back cat with a curious streak and a lot of love and patience to give, Perseus could be your perfect match! Apply to adopt Perseus today and make this handsome, sweet boy a part of your family. Adoption application link can be found here-https://airtable.com/shrGSvgMTS3wUQn2H

Story
A letter describing PoundCake to potential adopters from our Founder and shelter director: I stopped at the shelter this morning as I often do every morning before work. I fed Catalina and the other kittens. Grabbed a hoodie and went to leave. PoundCake meowed. That old raspy meow he does and tried to chase me down. He wanted petted. I stopped and kneeled down and pet him. Then I picked him up and he purred like there was literally no tomorrow. I told him he was the bestest boy there ever could be. I knew that I had to leave then or I was never making it out the door. I turned quick and ran and he followed me as fast as his pudgy legs could carry sir pounder……. He only made it halfway up the stairs as I turned to shut the door. The look on his face “Don’t leave me…….” Crushed my soul this morning. And I was late for work. PoundCake isn’t old. He just acts it. He is around five years old. Has great teeth! He was pulled from a colony trapping where he fathered many many children before volunteers got the colony under control. It was below freezing when I said I would give him a try to be adopted out here. One speck of kindness and he is your friend for life. He bonds almost instantly, and with each passing day the heart grows fonder. He was something to someone once and that someone was his absolute everything that he lived and existed for. Ties severed because of some bad behavior and placement outside…. I am sure of it. Fast forward to now, rescued and vetted and slowly stealing my heart too. I hold him longer than I should. Special cats like Poundcake draw lines in the sand. Most cats when adopted are just happy they are with awesome humans and grow to love them day after day. With PoundCake if I hold him too much and cross that line, he will hate me when he is adopted. He will love his new people for sure, but will hate me for letting him go. Like he wasted his love twice in life and starting over again. So whomever adopts him absolutely SHOULD cross that line of no turning back, but never ever break his heart because he now carries a piece of mine along with his.

Vala is a lot like her sister Veda. She loves to have fun, and then come in close for snuggles. She is a little more reserved than her sister though. Her manicure is spot on, as well as having the cutest little pink nose!

Story
Veda is absolutely stunning. You can tell from her pics that she is playful and rambunctious, but also has a softer loving side. She has tabby stripes and orange tortie spots, and beige contour highlights. I am always asking her for makeup tips! She poises herself prim and proper, yet always seems to position herself for the perfect pounce when the feather toy is tossed into the mix. Lest we not forget that no matter what she is always ready for an adventure!
