Story
Crouton is a 10-year-old cat with a big personality and even bigger boundaries. Rescued south of the city, he endured a rough start—found with a severe, ulcerated mass on his paw due to advanced pillow paw. After surgery and a long healing process, Crouton made a full recovery, regaining not just his health but also his strong-willed spirit. While he once tolerated human touch when he was sick, those days are long gone. Now, Crouton makes it very clear: pets are not on the menu. He’ll happily come down for mealtime, but any attempt to give him affection will earn you a swift smack. However, what he lacks in love for humans, he makes up for in beauty and his adoration of other cats. He’s still energetic and playful despite his age, and he would thrive in a home with a feline friend (or two) to keep him company. Crouton is looking for an adopter who will respect his independence and let him live life on his own terms. If you’re okay with admiring your cat from afar and letting him be his true, untouchable self, Crouton might just be the perfect companion for your other cat! Crouton is 10 years old, neutered, vaccinated, flea treated, dewormed, microchipped, and tested negative for FIV/FeLV. Given his strong-willed personality, his adoption fee has been waived.

Story
Say hello to Madman, one of our Ozzy litter kittens. Madman is a sensitive young man who follows his much smaller sister's lead in almost every situation. He likes to observe from a distance while she gets up to shenanigans, only occasionally joining into the fray. He takes a while to settle into new surroundings, but when he is at peace, he becomes an expert cuddler. He loves to play with pretty much every type of toy you could ever imagine for a cat. Madman is bonded with his sister Black Sabbath, and must be adopted with her. Madman is roughly 4 months old, neutered, vaccinated, flea treated, dewormed, microchipped, and tested FIV/FeLV negative.

Story
Meet Oscar. Rescued from the notorious West End colony in 2022, Oscar spent the past two years in foster care with his beloved best friend, Bug. The two were inseparable—sharing naps, playtime, and endless cuddles—until Bug passed away recently. Since then, Oscar has been especially lonely and extra clingy, following his foster family everywhere and soaking up every bit of affection he can get. Now, he’s hoping to find a new feline best friend to fill the empty space in his heart. Oscar is about 6.5 years old and has CH (cerebellar hypoplasia), which gives him a wobbly, clumsy gait that only adds to his charm. Despite his mellow demeanor, he has a playful side, especially when catnip is involved, and will serenade you with his quiet, raspy meows. He’s FeLV positive and has a history of GI issues, which are well-managed with a daily steroid. He gets bi-annual ultrasounds to keep an eye on everything and his vet believes he is in remission. His adoption fee has been waived due to his special needs and FeLV status. What he needs most is a loving home, and ideally a gentle cat companion, where he can feel safe, adored, and part of a duo again. Could you be the one to give Oscar his next best friend and forever home? Oscar is about 6.5 years old, neutered, vaccinated, flea treated, dewormed, and microchipped. Both cats are FeLV positive (confirmed via PCR).

Story
Meet Lottie Lou. Rescued from a 30+ cat colony in the city, this shy girl is well worth the wait. When Lottie trusts you she becomes your best friend. It may take a bit for her to trust you, but she’s a fast learner. She’s just as playful as any other kitten and loves chasing string and mice around! Don’t let her permanent RBF fool you, this girl loves belly rubs when you get her to warm up! Lottie does really well around cats and can be adopted with her sister Loretta or she must go to a home with another young cat to help her adjustment. Lottie Lou is about 6 months old, spayed, vaccinated, flea treated, dewormed, microchipped, and tested FIV/FeLV negative.

Story
Meet Lettuce! This fluffy beauty spent the first few months of her life in a colony of 30+ cats in Lincoln-Lemington and is now so very happy to spend the rest of her days indoors. Lettuce is extremely sweet and loves to get chin scritches. She’s an independent little lady and can be difficult to catch, but once she is, she immediately melts into getting pets. While she mostly wants to run wild, when she decides she’s feeling snuggly, she goes out of her way to cozy up to her foster. She might need someone who understands she won’t be a lap cat from day one, but she’s certainly growing into one. Lettuce is utterly obsessed with other cats. She spends every waking minute following around the other cats in her foster home. She loves to play chase, sneak attack around corners, and basically anything she can do to grab their attention. She will absolutely thrive with another young and playful cat or kitten(s) and does need to either be adopted with another kitten or into a home with current cats who will love her attention as much as she’ll want theirs. Lettuce is about 6 months old, spayed, vaccinated, flea treated, dewormed, microchipped, and tested FIV/FeLV negative.

Story
Meet Shark. Rescued from the South Side Slopes as a little baby with his siblings and momma, you'd never know he started his life on the streets. Shark is a total sweetheart! He loves people, loves cuddling, loves being played with and is destined to be a lap kitty. But he's still got that kitten energy and greatly enjoys running and wrestling with his brother (or sister) and chasing toys. He is affectionate and loyal and will win you over if you give him the time to get used to a new space or new people. He's soft and is quick to purr when getting pets. He has a very dashing white patch on his chest and even has subtle stripes to match his redheaded siblings. He has been patient and sweet with children and was curious about the dog he was exposed to. Shark will steal your heart! He would prefer to be adopted with his sister Clementine. Shark is about 3.5 months old, neutered, vaccinated, flea treated, dewormed, microchipped, and tested FIV/FeLV negative.
