Story
💔 PLEASE SHARE FOR ADOPTABLE ABIGIRL. SHE HAS WAITED 460 DAYS. 💔Our sweet 3-year-old Abigirl is one of our longest-stay cat. She has now been waiting for her forever home for 460 days. And we are desperately hoping that someone will finally look at this beautiful girl and say, "I’ll give her a chance.” 🥺Abigirl has spent a portion of her time in a foster home, where she made some progress — but it was limited. She did not mind having a cat sibling in the house and would be fine in a home with another cat! She has shown us that she may not ever become the kind of cat who jumps into your lap, demands attention, or greets you at the door. And that’s okay. We are looking for someone who understands that love doesn’t always look like cuddling.💙Abigirl may quietly coexist with you. She may choose a cozy spot across the room and simply enjoy being near her person. She may slowly grow in confidence once she has the security of a calm home and the freedom to move at her own pace. And maybe, with time, she’ll surprise us. What we can promise is that this girl deserves the chance to find out what life outside a shelter catio feels like. She deserves a soft bed.She deserves a quiet home. She deserves a window sill of her own.She deserves patience. She deserves someone who will celebrate the little victories. And most of all, she deserves someone willing to give her a chance. 🐾Right now, Abigirl is still living in her catio while she waits. And after 460 days, we are pleading for help getting her out of there and into a loving home — whether that is a forever home or a foster home.🙏Please, please share Abigirl.Maybe you aren’t the person who can take her home, but someone on your friends list might be.Abigirl doesn't need someone to “fix” her. She needs someone willing to meet her where she is and give her time. Her family is out there. We just need to help them find each other.📝 Adoption/Foster Application: https://form.jotform.com/213275062626049📧 adoptions@animalprotectors.net📞 (724) 339-7388📍 730 Church Street, New Kensington, PA

Story
💜🐾 258 DAYS. Adoptable Mikala has been waiting for her forever home... And in those 258 days, this beautiful girl has made a HUGE transformation. When Mikala first came to us, she was terrified of human hands. She desperately wanted affection, but something in her past had taught her that a hand reaching toward her was something to fear. Our team discovered that she LOVED a back scratcher. It became her way of accepting the love she so desperately wanted while still feeling safe.So we waited. We gave her time. We respected her boundaries. We let her come around at her own pace. And slowly, over many months, Mikala began to trust us.Now she happily accepts pets from our hands. 🥹💜For Mikala, this isn't a small thing. This is a HUGE milestone. And she has blossomed in other ways, too.Today, Mikala is the welcomer of our catio room. When someone walks in, she gets up and comes to the front of her catio to say hello. She seeks people out and requests pets from anyone who enters. The girl who once couldn't trust a human hand now actively asks humans for affection. We are SO proud of her.But there is one thing we haven't been able to give her yet: A forever home. She has shown us that when she feels safe, she can grow. She has gained confidence in her catio and explores the room, visiting her feline neighbors along the way. Because she seems comfortable around other cats, we think she could do well in a home with a feline friend. She just needs the opportunity to settle into a home, feel safe, and continue her journey with someone who understands that trust takes time.Mikala has already spent 258 days waiting for that person. Please help us find her forever home. 🙏Share her story. Tag someone who might be the right fit. Help us get her in front of the person who will look at Mikala and say, “I'll give you the time you need.”📍 730 Church Street, New Kensington, PA📝 Adoption Application:** https://form.jotform.com/213275062626049📧 adoptions@animalprotectors.net📞 (724) 339-7388

Story
🐾💙 Meet Adoptable Loretta — She has been waiting 238 days for someone to give her a chance...When we first introduced you to Loretta, she was a very scared 8-year-old kitty who didn’t trust anyone. Everything felt overwhelming, and she needed time to understand that she was safe. After 238 days with us, Loretta has slowly started to open up. She is now accepting one or two gentle pets at a time from trusted humans—a small step that means so much for a girl who once wanted nothing to do with human touch.Loretta is also becoming more comfortable when visitors come into our catio room. She’ll get up, walk around, and sometimes act like she wants some love. She’s not quite ready to accept that love yet, but the fact that she’s showing interest is incredibly encouraging. 🐱✨But make no mistake—Loretta is still a spicy kitty most of the time still 🌶️🐱 She is very clear when she has had enough and needs her space. Her future foster or adopter will need to be someone who is willing to respect her boundaries, listen to her signals, and give her the space she needs without pushing her.Loretta needs an extremely patient human—someone who understands that trust doesn’t happen overnight and who will celebrate the little victories along the way. She doesn’t need someone to change her; she needs someone willing to meet her where she is.Loretta may continue to blossom once she has the chance to live in a quiet home where she feels safe and secure. She just needs someone willing to give her the time she deserves. ❤️Could you be the person who helps Loretta discover what it feels like to finally be home? 🏡📍 730 Church Street, New Kensington, PA📝 Adoption Application: https://form.jotform.com/213275062626049📧 adoptions@animalprotectors.net📞 (724) 339-7388Please share Loretta’s story.
