Story
Penguin here, and I am a handsome fella just under 3 years old who enjoys playtime with my favorite feather wand and delightful catnip mice! I am looking for a laid back home with another friendly kitty to keep me company and show me the ropes. I'm looking for a home with a special someone who is willing to take things slow as I'm still working on my socialization. I arrived to Ten Lives with my littermate Poppie and we've both made some great progress. In fact, I've really been blossoming and showing how silly and playful I am! My other hobbies include climbing high where I can su-purrvise, enjoying some catnip here and there, and trying to figure out these fun food puzzles! Got some time? Spend it with me and we will work on my awesomeness together!I am now accepting adoption applications, available below!___________________________Please complete an adoption application if you are interested in adopting from Ten Lives! Apply here:  https://tenlivescatrescue.org/adoptionapp/Please Note:If the cat or kitten is no longer listed in the drop-down menu of the application then they are no longer available for adoption and we are not accepting applications. Due to limited volunteer power, applications submitted for cats or kittens no longer available will not be reviewed. About Ten Lives:Ten Lives Cat Rescue is a 501(c)(3), nonprofit organization located in Rhode Island. Our foster-based program is 100% volunteer-powered. We do not have a facility or shelter with regular visiting hours. Our of respect for the time, privacy, and safety of our foster families, we require an approved adoption application prior to schedule a meet and greet with a foster cat. Our goal is to place cats in their best-matched homes and facilitate lifelong adoptions. We do not review applications on a first-come, first-serve basis. We believe that veterinary care is an important part of cat guardianship. As such, we a veterinary check is part of our adoption process. Our goal is to contact applicants within 96 business hours of receiving their application. During kitten season, wait times may be longer due to the influx of applications. We are all volunteers and kindly ask for your patience! All Ten Lives cats are spayed or neutered, receive age-appropriate vaccinations, tested for FIV/FeLv and parasites, dewormed, treated for fleas, and microchipped. These services are inclusive of the adoption fee.

Story
Juno was a stray cat in my neighborhood who had three kittens. After capturing her and all of her kittens, I got them all fixed and up to date on shots. I had every intention of keeping Juno as she is the sweetest girl, however, she does not get along with my cat that I have had since prior to trapping her. Their distaste for each other causes Juno to pee outside of the Litterbox, but when they are separated from each other, Juno uses the Litterbox just fine. Juno is a very affectionate cat who adores getting pet, loves laying on her window perch and looking outside, will talk back to you when you talk to her, rolls over to get belly rubs and who seems just happy to be in a loving home after being a stray. Juno would do best as an only cat so that she doesn't have to share a Litterbox. She doesn't like loud noises and spooks a bit easily so a quiet home would be best (though we have 3 young kids and a dog and she does okay).

Story
Meet Shadow and Dot! These lovely sisters are so friendly and they are super bonded. Shadow is more outgoing than Dot, she loves getting attention and seems to be pretty confident. Dot is quite shy but sweet and playful, and it might just take her a little longer to adjust than her sister. They could live with another cat, school aged kids, but no dogs as they've caused them stress previously. With questions about Shadow and Dot, or any of our other adoptable cats, please contact Olivia at owarburton@rispca.com

Story
Meet Garrett! This little fluffball is a total lovebug! He can be super playful and energetic, but will wind down cuddled in your arms, making infinite biscuits. Garrett is great with kids, other cats, and possibly a cat-savvy dog. Garrett has been diagnosed with eyelid agenesis, which means his eyelids never fully developed. Since Garrett is missing some of his eyelids, he will need extra help to keep his corneas healthy by applying lubricating eye medication daily. Because Garrett needs a bit more TLC than the average kitten, all applicants will be subjected to a veterinary reference check, as well as a consultation with one of our veterinarians. With questions about Garrett, or any of our other adoptable cats, please contact Olivia at owarburton@rispca.com
