Story
Chai is a Maine Coon personaility in a regular cat sized body with medium length fur. We got her from a local family that had an accidental litter between their Maine Coon and American Bobtail cats. She is very social - she wants to be wherever people are and the action is. She loves to play and cuddle. She is also very smart - so far she is able to use the pet talking button "play". She greets us (and strangers) at the door or nearby window. Because she does not have a tail, this impacted her nerve development in her hind end. It shows up in that she will sometimes leave spots of pee where she was relaxing. She was diagnosed with a mild case of "manx cat syndrome". She is currently on medication to increase bladder tone and while this helps with the accidents, it has not stopped them completely. She generally uses her litterbox, but has occassional leakage in areas she sits or sleeps. Furniture coverings and "cat blankets" help, but I cannot keep up with it having young children.

🎤🐱 Introducing Cappy: Professional Conversationalist, Amateur Suitcase Packer, Full-Time Lap Cat! 🐱🎤 Meet Cappy! This adorable girl arrived at the North Smithfield Animal Shelter as a stray and, sadly, no one came to claim her. Their loss is definitely someone else's gain! At approximately 2 years old, Cappy has mastered the art of communication and proudly sings the song of her people whenever she has something important to say (or when she'd just like your attention). She dreams of a home where she can spend her days supervising household activities from the comfort of a warm lap. Cappy is spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped—basically move-in ready! While we're not quite sure how she'd feel about sharing her kingdom with another cat, she was completely unbothered by the dogs she met at the vet's office. She would do best in a home with children over 10 years old. Currently, Cappy is accepting applications for the position of "Favorite Human." Benefits include unlimited purrs, charming conversations, and a loyal lap companion for life. Think you might be the perfect match? Cappy has her bags packed and is ready to move into her forever home! ❤️ 📞 Call the North Smithfield Animal Shelter at 401-766-0377 and ask the staff to schedule a meet-and-greet with Cappy.

Story
This is my very good boy Skeeter. I love him so much, but I believe in my heart that he will benefit from a more active home than what I can give him. He's very playful and has a strong prey drive. He was born outside, but I raised him to be inside only, as I am not able to let him play outside because of where I live. He has a tree that he loves climbing on and sleeping in, I've built him a carpet wall to climb, his favorite toys are the interactive kinds (a toy that flaps wings and makes bird sounds, and a cloth with a fake tail under it). He loves to play with the lazer and I have a fishing rod I've attached strings to that he chases and high jumps for. He enjoys sitting in the window watching the birds in the trees, and play wrestling with his humans. I've also taught him how how sit like a dog! He is very treat motivated. He needs a very active household and a family that will give him all the love and attention he needs. He warms up very quickly to new people and loves attention!

Story
Chaucer & Betty might not be litter-mates, but they certainly are bffs! Both cats are about 2 years old, and are looking for an adult-only home (that is going remain adult-only). Betty is spunky and curious. She's always the first one to investigate anything new at her foster home, and is a mighty hunter of feathered toys and any poor bug that happens to cross her path! She's the perfect mix of sassy and sweet. Chaucer is sweet and shy to start, but is such a loving boy. He loves playing with fishing pole toys and burrowing under blankets. At Chaucer's first vet visit we found he had a heart murmur, then his cardiologist found the reason is because he has a hole in his heart. But his recent cardiologist visit showed only minimal progression, and possibly even a little closing of the hole! With once daily medicine (a pill which he takes very easily in a pill pocket treat) and a low sodium diet (non prescription), his cardiologist believes he may very well lead a normal life! Chaucer will just need to have an ultrasound of his heart yearly to keep tabs on any changes. If you're interested in giving Chaucer & Betty a home together, please fill out an application! If you're reading this ad, we're still accepting applications! The first step to meeting them and adoption is to fill out an application here: APPLICATION --> https://tinyurl.com/yvys3tnr Application Process: 1) Fill out an application 2) We will call your vet for a reference (if you have or had pets--PLEASE CALL YOUR VET TO GIVE THEM PERMISSION TO TALK TO US!) 3) If we think you might be a good match for any of our cats, we'll contact you to chart further. Story
Sorbet & Cannoli are a mother-daughter duo looking for their forever home. Cannoli (10 months old) is sweet and cuddly, and can't resist a nap on a soft blanket. She's a mighty hunter of cat toys and likes to growl while walking around with one in her mouth. Sorbet (3-4 years old) was an excellent mother, and is a sweet and friendly cat. They both got along well with the other cats in their foster home, but mama Sorbet has decided she doesn't want to live with dogs. ***If you're reading this ad, we're still accepting applications! Story
All of our cats and kittens receive an exam, are spayed/neutered, fully vaccinated, de-wormed, de-flead, tested for FeLV and FIV, and microchipped. O’Neill is an approximately 1.5 to 2-year-old brown tiger cat who has come a long way from his days as a rough stray. Now he enjoys following his human around and has become quite the lap cat. O’Neill craves attention 24/7 and will be your constant companion. Due to food allergies, O’Neill will always require a specific prescription food diet. This is important to keep him healthy and happy. He also likes having a spot to hide when he hears noises so a quiet and secure place in your home would be ideal for him. If you’re looking for a loving companion who will always be by your side, O’Neill might be the perfect match for you! O'Neill is FIV+, but with proper vet care and an indoor-only lifestyle, he should be able to remain out of trouble with his health issues. FIV, or feline immunodeficiency virus. Cats with FIV can live for a number of years without symptoms, and most go on to live normal, healthy lives. FIV is not the same as AIDS in humans, is not transmissible to humans, and can be managed with proper care. This cat is currently in a foster home, so if you want to meet him or her, please fill out an adoption application. Applications can be found on our website at www.angelcathaven.com. It can be filled out online or emailed to adoptions@angelcathaven.com. If you have submitted an application and have been waiting to hear back from us for a few days, please check your SPAM folder. Adding adoptions@angelcathaven.com to your contacts may prevent the emails from being sent to the SPAM folder. If this is happening, please add cheri@angelcathaven.com to your contacts.
